Fall Fashion Color Report 2016

I think most of us are are enjoying summer and wearing our summer clothes, but I’m looking ahead at what we’ll be seeing this fall.

I’m speaking at a church in western Kentucky in late August and I’m going to share about being a woman of God but I’m also going to briefly talk about fashion trends for fall. (I’ll have more information about this event soon, if any of you are from that area, I would love for you to come!)

The first step as I’m looking at fall fashion is to see what colors are going to be popular and Pantone did not disappoint this year.

The Fall Fashion Color Report for 2016 has some beautiful colors!

Beauty For the Heart~~The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10 (NKJV)

We CAN have an abundant life now. Here are 5 ways to have abundant life in Christ.

  1. Live a life of genuine faith. (Hebrews 11:6)
  2. Live a life of prayer. (Romans 12:12)
  3. Live a life of obedience. (Deuteronomy 11:1)
  4. Live a life of giving. (Luke 6:38)
  5. Live a life of holiness. (1 Peter 1:15-16)

Have a blessed day!

  1. They are lovely colors, but I will be saving some money this fall! I cannot wear dusty or muted shades and there is not a clear color in the bunch, If these colors translate to menswear, however, I am in good shape to shop for my redheaded husband!

  2. May I ask what church you’re speaking at? I live in W KY & if you are in O I would love to hear/meet you.

  3. I have been perusing these colors since they came out. I really like all of them and like I did in Spring I will probably do a series on how to style these different colors whether with clothing pieces or accessories. I love the richness of the colors. I love fall. It is my favorite season, but I am trying to stay in the present with summer, because before I know it, it will be gone! Ha, ha. Thanks for posting. I love how you included all the pics from Pantone’s site in your post. Still trying to figure stuff like that out as a newer technologically challenged blogger. Ha, ha. Have a great weekend, Cyndi. – Amy

  4. LOVE the rich colors for Autumn. Do they remind anyone else of the glorious palette God blesses us with when we venture into the great outdoors?! They surely do for me !!! And just so my Southern sisters don’t think we are “off the hook” a bit further North….I live in Iowa next to the Mississippi and we have excessive heat warnings through the weekend. II3 heat index predicted !!!! SO ready for the brisk mornings ,balmy afternoons, crisp evenings during Fall weather. Your post was a reminder of God’s blessing of the seasons, Cyndi. Be safe, everyone !!!!!

    1. Wow, you are a wonderful writer. Thanks for sharing. I’m a Mississippi girl and yes heat us excessive. When fall and winter come I’m that much more grateful. Blessings to you and cyndi for a great day.

      1. Thanks, Amanda !!! This is why I love Grace & Beauty. We an connect from coast to coast with kindred hearts and spirits. Be blessed and be a blessing today!!!!

  5. Are you still considering a Fall Work Wear Challenge? I missed the summer one, but would love to participate in the fall one!

  6. The rich gray and the blues are my favorite on me, but I love the other colors for home decorating in fall.

  7. I look forward to seeing what the Pantone colors are for each season! I actually can see myself wearing all these colors – so it’s good!!! We will be experiencing the “death defying” heat this week, with alerts and warnings and high humidity – yuck!!! Heat indices of 110 – double yuck – so fall is sounding pretty wonderful right now 😉

  8. Yaaaay! So many great colors to choose from. I especially love the Airy Blue and Warm Taupe. Bring on Fall! This Kentucky humidity and high temperatures are killing me!

  9. I love the blues… emerald green and gray. I am also a fan of a blue red. Thank you so much for posting this😃

  10. I love the clay and the red, those are the only colors that would look good on me with my complexion. I can certainly understand looking forward to Fall because I love that season soo much! I can also relate to looking forward to decorating for Christmas. I’m very into my home decor as well. It’s always such a heart warming time of year too. 😍

  11. Beautiful colors for Fall! I’m so glad–Fall is definitely the season for redheads. Love that emerald shade, of course, but then I like just about any green.

Hope you’re having a wonderful week. It’s HOT in North Carolina; I’m ready for Fall in more ways than one!

  12. Spicy mustard and potters clay are my favorites and I like the riverside blue. I love fall because we finally get a reprieve from the heat in Texas! Another thing about fall is that is the longest decorating season of the year! You can put out your fall decor in September and keep it up through Thanksgiving! That also means we can dress in these pretty colors for all that time and then some!

I love your new house and love seeing all the updates you’ve been making, bringing us some home style inspiration!
    Keep us updated!

    Hugs, Kim

  13. Lush Meadow is my favorite, but I realized it’s because she’s the only model that is smiling! I usually don’t gravitate towards green colors but she is smiling which presents it as a happy color!

  14. I’m right there with you, summer is half over, time to start thinking about fall/winter. Love Love the colors. I really like the blues, taupe, grey and the deeper red’s colors. Looking forward to all the colors. You were saying you didn’t know if you were going to leave your door red, I Love it. We are getting ready to paint ours red. I think it will be really pretty for all the season’s of different things I hang on my door, I see a lot of homes when we travel having a red door. Guess we are going to try it and see? Sending Blessing to You !!!

  15. I live in South Central KY. Would love to hear you speak so please keep us updated on when and where.

  16. I do like all the colors. I have started thinking about Christmas. How will I decorate. My oldest son moved back to Michigan and we will not be going to Indiana after Christmas this. We welcomed our third grandbaby and third granddaughter to the family July 5. I have 2 granddaughters that are 4. They are 7 months apart. I had 2 sons now I am blessed with 3 granddaughters.

  17. That was a fun post…loved the Pantone inspiration!

BTW, I was likewise thinking about Christmas decorating last year at this time. Now that you have a new house, you’ll be rethinking your entire holiday decorating plan! Makes you switch everything up…new rooms and new colors. Smart to think ahead!

  18. Maybe it’s just me but the colors seem to be the same as in years past. Nothing new or different other than a name change. That being said, I do like the grey and taupe colors as I already have boots and ankle boots in both colors from last year. That will leave me more money to pick up a sweater in the purple color and maybe the pink too 🙂

  19. I’ve been thinking about Christmas decorating too! I love the new fall colors and I am so looking forward to the fall and winter, the temps here in SC have been sooo hot!😱 Have a blessed day!😍

  20. I love the airy blue and riverside! Being a “summer” on the color wheel, I lean towards the blue tones.

  21. Love the green!! My husband and I just moved to an old, large, 1890’s Victorian style home and I am also thinking about Christmas decorating and trying to plan in my head so I totally know where you’re coming from!!! 🙂

  22. So PRETTY! I gravitate to neutrals so the shark skin and the taupe are my favorites.
I like blue, and love it in people’s homes but I just can’t seem to get there…I have this mental block or something. As a matter of fact, I would like to paint my hall bathroom a pale icy blue, but every time I try a color it always look baby blue which I don’t like. Any suggestions? Sorry – I went a bit sideways on your post, but hey, there are some smart ladies here who have great ideas :)!

    1. Instead of looking at Blue color pallets, try white. The ones with the blue tones will give you that icy finish you are looking for. I did this in a breakfast room. Dunn Edwards paint.

  23. Fall is my favorite season and I am so looking forward to wearing my fall clothes. My favorites are (1) Potter’s Clay (2) Spicy Mustard and (3) Lush Meadow.

Just curious Cyndi………what are your favorite colors for this fall? (Unless I overlooked it in your post)

Thank you for this latest Fall Fashion Report ~Lisa~

  24. I think these are my most favorite colors from Pantone yet! That Riverside Blue? Gorgeous. And the Lush Meadow! Love, love, love!

  25. Gorgeous colors! I’m excited! I especially love Riverside and Airy Blue, Sharkskin and Warm Taupe! Thanks for setting the stage for us!
