#NSale Fall Favorites

Happy hump day! Yesterday I shared summer tips and today I’m sharing my #nsale fall favorites. It’s confusing around here isn’t it??

August is a transition month so I’ll share some summer posts but I’ll also share some fall fashion and fall trends. Once September gets here, it’s all fall!

Anyway, I thought I would give you an update on what I kept from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. There is still time to purchase from the sale but it ends on August 8th and prices will go up.

I took about 7 boxes back to the post office on Monday. Whew! I was glad to check that off my list.

#NSale Fall FavoritesI snapped some pictures of this lush top and jeans. These are pieces I will mix and match with other pieces this fall. (And btw I don’t like the necklace with this top so ignore it!) When the weather cools down I’ll add a cardigan.

I purchased this Vince Camuto handbag and I will carry this a lot this fall and winter.

#NSale Fall FavoritesThese Joe Jeans kind of hug my legs. I laughed when I put them on because I was thinking I can’t gain one pound or I might not be able to wear them! That’s a good incentive! They are still comfortable.

I like them because they will be great for over the knee boots and oversized sweaters. I think over the knee boots are going to be a staple for me this fall and winter.

Have you seen any fall trends that you want to style this fall/winter?

Beauty For the Heart~~What does it mean to pray hard? It means praying when it’s hard. Praying when you don’t know what to say. Praying when you’re not sure what the answer will be.

Romans 8:26 says, And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.

Have a blessed day!

  1. Kim, bless your dear heart, I am so sorry! I will pray God’s comfort for you, and that His strength will sustain you in the days ahead.

  2. I love the items you purchased from Nordstrom especially the over the knee boots, I have a pair and absolutely love them as well. I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE COOLER TEMPS, the heat and humidity here in SC has been horrible, plan your outfits for Atlanta accordingly, but have a great time!😊

  3. I love the shoes Cyndi! And I am definitely looking forward to the fall! I love summer but the recent humidity has done me in and I;m ready for some cooler weather! God Bless –

  4. Hi Cyndi,
I truly dress better since I began following you. Thank you for helping me. Would you consider styling a few outfits with khaki and olive pants? I am looking for a good pair of non-denim pants that flatter instead of age! A good pair of chinos to dress up or down would be fabulous.
Also, I hope you have a very special birthday!

  5. Love all the Fall picks and I am so ready for fall. I have been looking a lot at Tieks, have you tried them yet? They are a little pricey but so many great comments on the comfort of these shoes. I am so debating on buying a pair or am I crazy.

  6. Hello lady, I was wondering if you can touch on accessorizing with necklaces a bit. Not with just one but with 2, 3 or 4, long, short, silver, gold, colored or mixed, even with the lengths. I have many necklaces accumulated and wish I knew how to wear them together or alone with V tops or dresses, scoop necks or even collars, under, over tops.. as you can tell, I need guidance. What is a good rule of thumb? Any advice would help.

P.S. If you have a past post on this issue, I apologize, I have only been your fan since early Spring and do follow a few other blogs from your recommendations; Jo Lynne Shane and Tania with 50is Not Old.

  7. Hi Cyndi,
I really liked the things you kept from the sale but I just can’t see paying $100 for jeans. I know you will get a lot of wear out of them but in Texas we can only wear jeans in the few cooler months we get. So, I will only spend $30-$50 on a nice pair of jeans. But love your blog and thank you for sharing. Have a great day!

    1. Gloria, I noticed you asking about jeans and the expense of many. I really like Od Navy jeans. I get compliments on them all the time and they have all varieties of styles and sizes. The price is the best part!

    2. I understand what you mean Gloria……working in a professional environment, I don’t wear a lot of jeans so I don’t want to spend a lot of $$$$……especially on trendy styles. I recently purchased these at Kohl’s and so far, I love them. They feel like pajamas!!! 🙂

I did get the dark wash but linked to the light wash because there is a tiny bit of distressing on them that doesn’t show in the pic of the dark wash.

  8. Cyndi, I’ve been following your blog for a while now and I really like your style. I like that the clothes you choose are normal, everyday classic pieces that can be worn for multiple seasons. Unfortunately, many of them are out of my price range. I would love to see a few more clothing pieces and beauty items that can be ordered online for us girls on a budget. Thank you!

  9. Good Morning Cyndi! I am all about fall/winter because I love the cooler temps. I am so tired of sweating and having soaked clothes from it. This morning I went through my cool weather clothes, up in the attic, and actually made myself pull out a good bit for the estate sale. With us moving to the country & a much smaller home I know that the quantity of my clothes will have to be reduced again, unfortunately. Very casual attire is the norm, even for church, so I’ll have to start rethinking my garments.

It’s HOT in GA, so keep that in mind as you pack.

Beauty For the Heart really spoke to me today. Since my mom just dies on May 5th, I still have moments when all I can do is cry and pray.

    God Bless!

  10. This is when the torture sets in because here in Texas it’s 100 everyday!! You girls are transitioning while we are stripping. I still love the inspiration though. 🙂

  11. Living here in South Louisiana, we have heat for a while longer. We are on vacationing in Florida now and I took out a morn to shop at Chico’s and of course picked up a few cute fall pieces. Enjoy your Blog sweetie. I’m a little older than you but have daughters your age and younger. We love to dress smart too. God Bless

  12. I enjoy reading the fall posts, but am no where near ready to shop. Summer took too long to arrive in my part of the USA. In no hurry to rush it away . . .
Retail is slow this year (I know a buyer for a department store chain) there will be plenty of time (for me) to shop.

  13. I so look forward to your post each day! And yes there is a trend I’ve seen that I like, it’s all the rust colors! I was in WHBM and they have an absolutely perfect rust blazer…I’m not a blogger, so I’ll be waiting for it to go on sale, but definitely Looking towards fall!

  14. Cyndi, I love your blog! I really look forward to the beauty for the heart. I have been a stay at home mom and wife for over 30 years and my husband is divorcing me. It is a nightmare. Your words help me when I read them each day!
    Thanks so much
    Kim

    1. God bless you, Kim. My mother went through this about 20 years ago (my father left her after 32 years of marriage). It was painful for the entire family. She is an inspiration to me, and she’s doing great! God is faithful. He sees every tear and will carry you through each day. <3

    2. I am so sorry Kim. My dad left my mom right before their 25th anniversary. The pain even for me was so difficult, but I saw my mom relying on the Lord. She became such a strong woman with the Lord’s help. I will pray for you.
