Jewelry Trends Fall 2016

Jewelry trendsWell, it’s time to start talking about fall trends and I thought we would begin with jewelry. I love to add accessories to my outfits and it’s an easy and inexpensive way to update your wardrobe.

I spent a few hours on Saturday at the Atlanta Market. This is where all the buyers from large department stores and boutique owners buy clothes, shoes, jewelry, handbags etc for the upcoming season. It can be overwhelming!!

I looked at fall jewelry and I picked out some pieces to wear over the next few months. I thought I would share the jewelry trends I saw at market and what you’ll be seeing this fall.

1. Beads-These were everywhere! All colors, all lengths, and all sizes.

2. Chokers-If you have looked at any jewelry this fall, you have seen chokers.

4. Mismatched earrings-I don’t love this trend but I never say never.

5. Pearls-I don’t think pearls ever go out of style, especially if you live in the south, but they are trending this fall.

6. Statement earrings-This season the bigger the better!

8. Tassels-This has been a popular trend and tassels are not going away anytime soon.

tasselsI was at the Haven Conference over the weekend and Saturday evening was a dinner party. I wore this top from Anthropologie (I had birthday money and purchased a few things at Anthropologie, I don’t shop their often but boy do they have some cute clothes!)

I also added these statement earrings (pictured above too) from Charming Charlies. They are so cute!

  1. Not sure if anyone will see this, but this shirt is on sale right now! I loved it when it was first posted and have been checking on it occasionally ever since. Thank you, Cyndi!

  2. I Love this bold and traditional with a twist jewelry group unfortunately I’ve got a square/pear shaped face, drooping shoulders, double chin and consequently short neck although I’m average petite size 10 so I stay away of anything that gives focus to that area like hanging earnings, chunky necklaces or chokers highlighting instead my thin arms and fingers. Any substitution advice?

  3. I know this post is about jewelry but I am all about that Anthropologie shirt you’re wearing! Just saw something on Pinterest on how to convert a regular blouse into an OTS shirt very similar to yours. May have to go back and find that!

That tie-style choker is also pretty special 🙂

  4. Jewelry is my favorite accessory!! I love all the fall trends and love trying new pieces. I also love Charming Charlies accessory store. BUT…..I’m not sure my Type A personality will allow me to wear mis-matched earrings!! hahahha

  5. HI Cyndi, WOW< I love reading all the comments on your blog and I've noticed quite a few new followers… how exciting is this?? I've loved your blog for quite a few years now and the new changes to it and each and every outfit…. even the ones that I wouldn't look great in at all, but you look fantastic !! God continue to bless you ! Love and prayers….

  6. I love our hair style! I think I remember in one of your posts you said you would give us details about styling products, etc. that you use. I’ve gone back through all of your posts that I have saved (I have saved all of them since I signed up for your emails) but I couldn’t find it.

Could you give us (me) some details about products…and maybe brief details about how you style your hair. Mine has about the same cut and length, but doesn’t look as “styled” as yours. Thanks so much! I LOVE following your blog! Love your style, clothes and your love for our Lord! 🙂

  7. I am loving the beaded and tasseled pendants right now! I only have one but have my eye on several others as we’ll!

    Thanks for sharing.

    Beth

  8. Love the outfit and all the fall jewelry trends! Isn’t Atlanta amazing! I grew up about an hour west of Atlanta which was perfect because you could enjoy all it has to offer and not have to live there😍 I live on the Gulfcoast now! Sur miss the shopping !

  9. Loving all these pretty things, but can’t pull off the large earrings – my face gets lost – and I’m not sure about the chokers…as a person with claustrophobia I’ve always had a problem with something around my neck – even turtlenecks can pose a problem. Sounds silly to most I’m sure, but it’s a real feeling of being choked. Anyway, such pretty things I’m looking forward to seeing you wear them !

  10. Goodness gracious, 4am! What is your morning schedule?
Love today’s post and your outfit looks amazing! Your hair looks beautiful, too!
God’s finest blessings to you 🙂

  11. Awesome…just awesome…as in you, your style, your message, your confidence! I began my “becoming the best me I can be” (eating healthy and clean & physically moving) in February and at almost the same time your blog came into my path. Coincidence…I think not……God is always in control.
I love the outfits you have shown and feel so great in my new body shape wearing them. Your style is classic, casual and “youthful”! My age of 63 does not prevent me from feeling 40 in my appearance, and probably will wear the mismatched earrings!
Please continue to share recommended devotionals because my heart and soul need daily nourishment and I don’t always know where to find reliable books/reading materials.
Love love your blog. I look forward to it each day!

  12. Hi Cyndi, I came across your blog in the Spring and I love it! I so enjoy your fashion tips. Your heart for Jesus and the encouragement you give is a blessing. I am enjoying these Fall jewelry trends but since I just turned 60 (!!!), I at first thought the mismatched earrings wouldn’t work for me. After giving it a little thought, they may be the perfect solution….folks will be paying extra attention to my earrings and not notice the wrinkles! 😃

  13. Happy belated birthday! You look beautiful, as always. Thank you for the book suggestion. Just bought it and am looking forward to reading it as I head back to another year of teaching. I just attended an institute for educators on the history and effects of race in our country. I truly believe that we need to get back to God, to our relationship with Him, in order to help us ( our nation) get of the mess we now find ourselves in. Looking forward to my daily readings to keep my own relationship.

  14. That top looks adorable and the earrings are the perfect touch. I love Anthro too, but YES, it’s so pricey. I try to buy one or two tops from there each season just for something fun and different that you don’t see on everyone. I’ve been to the Mart once years ago and would love to go back…maybe someday. Have a great week Cyndi!

  15. Hi Cyndi!
I’m so happy I found your blog! Its so refreshing to see someone my age dress so stylishly and modest. It makes it so convenient to be able to just click and find the products. This top is adorable and I just might have to pick one up for myself 🙂 Thanks so much for the inspiration. And thanks especially for keeping it so classy and modest. Happy Belated Birthday! 50 looks good on you!

  16. Love statement necklaces. Better than earrings, which can be too heavy. Cuffs and pearls never go out of style. Not a fan of the mix matched earrings – maybe it’s an age thing. I think younger gals can pull that off. And no tassels for me. But another staple – hoops! Can’t go with out my hoops. 🙂 Have a great day.

  17. Well Mini me I bought that exact off the shoulder top at anthro when it first came in!! I was thinking about you when I tried it on and how cute you would look in it! ! 😊 Looks better on you! Adorable!

  18. Love, love, love the tassel earnings! And of course I love beads! All cute & pretty for the Fall. Which happens to be my favorite season . I also love the Peace Devotional which is always for EVERY season! For everyone!

  19. I love big jewelry but it’s usually way too heavy for me, so I usually stick with dainty pieces. Anyone else feel this way?

    1. I too have a hard time with the larger earrings – but only because I have a small, round-shaped face and the larger earrings overpower my face. BUT, i will wear the statement necklaces and love them, and I usually wear stud or small hoop earrings so there’s not too much going on.
I do love seeing all the beautiful earrings though, and my daughter can pull them off so I’m always looking for gift ideas for her.

  20. I’ve done the mis-matched earring thing…but because I didn’t use my ‘readers’ when putting them on! I didn’t realize I was being fashion forward!

  21. I Love the cuff bracelet and your ring . I have statement earrings as well. The peace of God is like no other Blessings

  22. Oh, all the pretty jewelry! Personally, I hope the mismatched earrings thing doesn’t catch on, looks pretty silly to me.
Maybe if you are in middle school but as an adult, nope.

  23. I love the big necklaces I have a lot of them. Not sure on the earrings I have med. hair length I don’t think they are me. Talking of being anxious I started out like this today thank you for your quotes on it. Have a great day!!

  24. Love the fall jewelry trends.
Need to read the peace devotional, just what I need now. I’m
sending my daughter off to college in Arizona on Wednesday.
I’m a wreck I could use a little Peace. Prayers help!

  25. Hi Cyndi,
That’s a beautiful top with those earrings. My daughter loves Anthropologie but it can be a little pricey for her college budget. But you paired it nicely with some affordable earrings and it looks very dressy. You look great!
