Fall Fashion-The Perfect Sweater

Today is Day 8 of my 26 Days of Fall Fashion and I think I have found the perfect sweater. It’s one of those sweaters you’ll want to wear all the time when the weather cools down.

It’s soft and not itchy at all (I’m not a fan of itchy sweaters). It hangs a little longer in the back and I love the burgundy color. Have you noticed there’s a lot of burgundy this fall?

Fall Fashion-The Perfect SweaterI added gold hoop earrings. Hoop earrings are a must for me and I wear them all the time. I also added this wooden pendant necklace. All the jewelry I style for Glamour Farms I handpicked while I was in Atlanta at Market a few weeks ago.

Fall Fashion-The Perfect SweaterI styled this sweater with skinny jeans and a pair of ankle booties. (These booties run small I typically wear a 7 1/2 but I purchased an 8 and they’re perfect. The color I am wearing is the Cognac Burnished Leather.)

I also did a front tuck but you don’t have to tuck it in. Look at Glamour Farm’s pictures.

Fall Fashion-The Perfect SweaterThis sweater would look great with a scarf too. I love a plaid scarf like the one below.

I have to admit there are some things about this life I don’t understand. I have questions I wish could be answered. I do know this, Jesus has all the answers and I choose to trust Him.

  1. Love the color of this burgundy sweater! I think this color works on everyone! Especially like the longer in the back length.

    1. Since I just saw this sweater today…I must have missed the original post..it is no longer available! Looks like a lot of us love that sweater!

  2. The sweater is such a beautiful color and I like the texture on it. Definitely will check that one out to buy! Thank you!

Cyndi, you’re a petite woman and I think that necklace is way too big on you. It’s just too much. I’d go for a smaller, lighter necklace and smaller earrings too.

  3. I love this look. I’m 5 foot 4. I feel like booties and cuffed pants and tunic blose, make my legs look very short. Am I to short for this look?

  4. Burgundy–cognac–ox-blood–cranberry– love everything in that color palette! Can’t wait to wear a pair of burgundy leather booties I got at season’s end last yr. Now if only the temp would get out of the 80 to 90 degree range!
I love the longer in back trend. Sweet look, Cyndi!

  5. LOVE, Love, love this sweater… and the color of it also!!! You look sweet and ready for Fall for sure!!! Earth tone colors are my staple…. they just fit my skin tone, and I adore their soothing look when paired together with each other. I’m all excited for Fall to arrive in the KY Valleys and hills !!

  6. I love this fall look on you! Cuffed jeans are in style and look great with your booties. Now if it would cool off enough to to wear fall clothes!!

  7. I love everything about this outfit. The burgundy is beautiful and I like how you showed what necklace to wear. I know not everyone is a fan of the cuffed jeans but they are in style and it helps to cuff them if the bootie comes up too high.

  8. I’m not a fan of front tucked looks and back untucked looks. Hugs the tush. Unless you have an extremely small tush, no gal wants a tush hug, LOL, (just my preference)….the sweater color is great for fall. Unlike another comment, I love a cuffed pant. Trendy and shows off the bootie. I’m not ready for mums or apple cider yet!!! October 1st gets me in my Fall mood. And it’s so sad to see Christmas items in some box stores already. Let’s enjoy each season, one at a time. Have a great weekend!

  9. Uncuff the pants and it would be perfect! You look great but i do not like cuffed pants. I think it takes alot away from the look!

  10. Autumn is my favorite season. Burgundy is also a favorite color of mine which I have worn many years during the fall and winter. The color looks phenomenal on you Cyndi. I agree, bring on the cooler weather, pumpkins, spice scents, fall festivals, football and I will add a little coziness to this mix. Enjoy your weekend with Colt. 🍁☕️🎃🏈 ~Lisa~

  11. The neck of the sweater on the website looks much wider than it does on your blog. Did you adjust it in the pictures?

  12. Hi Cyndi- can you fix all your bootie links? Currently they all push to a pair of Joe Jean’s at Macy’s instead of shoes/booties. Thanks!

  13. I just love this look, Cyndi! I am resisting buying this sweater (I think I could buy everything you style!) because I know I have a similar one in the same color, but I love the outfit you put together!

  14. Oh I’m ready for fall also. Just really love this outfit also I like the scarf I have so many, but nothing like that one. Lol not to busy of a weekend just finished up with our fair it’s always a big one. Thank you for sharing you have a great weekend.

  15. Love the seater but I’m afraid the sleeves would be too long for my petite arms. But I definitely want to buy some thing burgundy this fall. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful Friday!

  16. I did not see what size you were wearing in the sweater. I’ll bet small? Is the sweater knit bulky or other?
Love the Elizabeth Elliott quote. Thanks.❤️❤️

  17. Cindi,

Love this whole outfit, but the link to the booties is the Joe Fresh Jeans, not the booties. Can you fix that or send me the link.

    Thank you,
    Denise

  18. Good Morning…just wanted to let you know that Outfit Details links route you to the wrong item. I clicked on booties and it took me to the jeans. That happened yesterday as well but figured it might be me. 🙂

    Have a blessed weekend.

    Gloria

  19. Oh my – I LOVE this sweater! That color is beautiful, and since I’m a SC Gamecock fan that is perfect for me as it is close to garnet in color. I too love love love fall – it may be my most favorite time of year. Thanks for sharing this great look :).

    1. Question – the sweater appears to have a scoop style neck in the GF picture, but doesn’t appear that way on you…would you say that it has a scoop style? I only ask because scoop necklines aren’t good for me…at least that’s what I was told by a “fashion expert” during a personal style evaluation :).
