Look For God’s Goodness

As you look back over the past week, can you see God’s goodness?

Look For God's GoodnessMaybe you had a wonderful week or maybe this has been one of the most difficult weeks. Your Monday started out sunny but by Friday everything had changed and dark clouds seem to be hovering over you.

Life is full of ups and downs and change is to be expected. The one thing we know will never change is God’s word.

So no matter what kind of week you have had, cling to His word because that’s where you will find hope, and truth and see that God is good.

  • For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You. Psalm 86:5
  • O give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting. 1 Chronicles 16:34
  • O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! Psalm 34:8
  • For the LORD is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations. Psalm 100:5

Did you see God’s goodness this past week?

I have played a lot of Lauren Daigle songs (she’s one of my favorites!). This song reminds us to stand our ground. God is our hope!

Have a blessed day!

  1. This is so beautiful. I love this song. We too are going through a difficult time. I have to keep trusting that God has a plan. Thank you for the reminder.

  2. Gina and Family,

I’m praying that God fills your daughter with Faith, Strenghtb,Healing Power and a lot of LOVE-which is is the best healing power there is! Thoughts, prayers and love are being sent your way!!

  3. God is good! He is so faithful as he continues to show his mercy in our struggles. I am thankful for his grace on the days I have not been all I should have been. Love his word. Thank you for inspiring.

  4. Dear Gina, may God give you and your family strength to go through this difficult time.

I will include your daughter in my prayers! Our God is an awesome God who can create miracles!

    Stay strong in Christ!

  5. Needed this today. Our week started with a 3 month routine check up for our 21 year old daughter who was diagnosed with sarcoma cancer last May. After 6 months of treatments and a clean up surgery, she was declared cancer free on December 23. The next 3 check ups were all clear, then, Tuesday revealed it was back, and Thursday showed it was back with a vengeance. Our daughter is an amazing young woman with a heart for God and to serve others. Her greatest joy in life serving with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) to share God’s word with kids in Northeast Alabama. She is a light in this dark world. She is a blessing to all who know her, and even those who don’t. Our world has been rocked with this news, but, I know that this precious child of God was put here for an extraordinary purpose, and I know that God is in control, and He has always had His mighty hand on her, so, in that, I have peace.
Thank you for the joy you share with others. You are a light also. Keep us in your prayers.

    1. Oh dear Sister in Christ Gina, my heart is hurting for you as I read this. I will be holding your daughter and your family up to the Great Physician, our Abba Father who knows your pain. Rest in His loving arms, He can do miracles, He can separate waters, and move mountains, and He can heal your daughter. Praying today…..

    2. Gina,

I’m praying for God’s healing touch upon your daughter. Your words glorify God and show an amazing faith within yourself. He will sustain you and others will lift your family in prayer.

      Blessings

    3. I will be praying for your daughter and your family during this time. I know God will be your strength. He has all our plans and know he is there to comfort you through this. I pray that God will heal your daughter. Keep strong in your faith.

    4. Praying for your daughter as well. God is always in control. Sometimes we don’t understand His ways, but he will never give us more than we can handle. Take comfort in His grace and mercy.

    5. Gina,

Sending prayers for your family and your daughter. May God’s touch her in His special way and His will be done in all your lives. God is good and faithful.

  6. Good morning Cyndi
For me this has been one of my most difficult weeks. As a mother seeing your child struggle is the most heartbreaking of trials. Thank you for reminding me that our Lord is ever faithful and his Grace is sufficient if we will only receive it.
Blessings to you for your faithfulness,
    Becky

    1. It’s always hard to see our children struggle. I’m sure that is how the Father feels when we struggle.
Praying you feel his faithfulness this week.
      Cyndi

    2. Becky, I agree with you. My son, a junior at college, is struggling mightily and all I want to do is fix it which I know I can’t do. I will pray for you. May God grant both of us strength and wisdom to stand back and know that HE has our children in his hands and works all things for HIS good!

      1. Hi DJ
        Thank you
I will be praying for your son too
And thank you for reminding me that our Heavenly Father has our children in his hands.
        God bless you
        Becky

  7. Thanks so much for the encouragement today Cyndi. I loved that song too. God is so good.
Blessings to you and your family.
