2 Ways to Wear a Black Turtleneck

Welcome back to my 26 Days of Fashion! On Day 1 I shared a black turtleneck with bootcut jeans. This is a great casual outfit.

Baby-boot-cut-jeans-1Today I’m sharing the same black turtleneck but I’m dressing it up with a pair of dress pants from Old Navy.

harper-pant-1The Harper pant from Old Navy is one of my favorite dress pants. They are a relaxed fit pant and are a great price point at $30.

I added a pair of leopard print heels from Sole Society. This is the heel I’m wearing from Sole Society but they don’t have the leopard print available. I linked a similar pair below.

Our weather has finally turned cool so I can actually wear this outfit and not just style it. Woo hoo!

  1. I love these outfits and going to shop for the pants. If you don’t mind me asking, what size are you wearing? They are such a good fit on you, very slimming! Have you also lost some weight, with how busy you stay? Thanks for sharing, heading to Old Navy tomorrow?

  2. I love the Harper pant on you! Haven’t tried it yet but I want to now. Like so many others have already said black and camel just look so good together, so chic!

  3. Very nice outfit for me I would have to wear the flat shoes. Love your necklace also. I like the cooler weather also. Thank you for sharing today. 😊

  4. I love camel & black together, so classic. If you are ever speak in Knoxville I will definitely be there!! I would love to hear you share God & beauty…and meet you! 😊

    1. Do you find that the Harper pants run big ? I love how they fit when I first put them on but my the end of the day they are super stretched out. Haven’t tried going down a size.

      1. Yes they do run big. I sized down a size and they still are a little bit but they are trousers and I think they are supposed to be a little loose.
        Blessings,
        Cyndi

  5. You look beautiful in this outfit! I have the shoes and I just ordered the top, now I’ve got to go get the pants! I love your blog and of course I love your hair!ha!

  6. Oh my, this looks so great on you! I love these classic colors. I loved the cold shoulder top when you featured it before……. I had to have this top so I just ordered it. I’m thrilled my local Target has it in stock and I’ll pick it up later today. 🙂

    Thanks for all you do!

  7. Love the outfit. Can you tell me if the pants run true to size or big/small? I have such a hard time finding pants. I’ like between sizes. I usually am a 8 but sometimes a 6. Ok thanks. Also, do you think the sweater is appropriate to wear as a teacher? or too much skin?

    1. Hi Jami,
As a 60 year old retired teacher I think the cold shoulder turtleneck is appropriate to wear to school. Believe me, I have seen far worse in my later years. I don’t see any difference between it and going sleeveless. Unless however your school or district has a dress code policy forbidding sleeveless tops or dresses for staff. I think it is cute and also classy the ways Cyndy has styled it. Hope that helps.

      1. Thank you! I appreciate your input! I’m a new teacher and was unsure if it was to much! Your right some ppl come to work in much more risky outfits!! I’m shocked sometimes actually what ppl decide to wear to work!Lol

  8. Good Morning Cindy! I don’t care how far I have to drive to Martin, GA (I’m in Loganville) I am coming up there to meet you. I love your blog and I’ve been following you for a couple of years now. You are such an inspiration to me and help me stay in my walk with the Lord. Hope you are doing a Meet and Greet cause you got one big huge fan in Loganville, GA!!!

  9. This is such a classy look. I really love both looks. I’m typically not a fan of any cold shoulder tops, but I always love them on you and the way you style them. A little trendy, a little classic..perfection!

  10. Ditto on the Camel and Black!

In fact, I just picked up the camel duster vest you styled earlier in the month…. Loved it on you! Did you find the armholes confining? I sized up so as not to feel claustrophobic! I’m no Popeye, but I likes me arms free!!

  11. Camel and black is my all-time favorite color combo! And adding ANYTHING leopard is the icing on the cake!! And a Starbucks hot chocolate…..well that’s the cherry on top!

  12. Cyndi- As always you nailed it. Camel and black are so polished looking together. I’m not happy that 26 days of fall went by so quickly. For the readers anyway, I’m sure your exhausted!

  13. I really like this color combination – I always have! I think it’s a classic fall look that everyone can wear. And those shoes!! oh my, love them!
So I really want to attend on Oct. 8, but that is my daughter’s 25th birthday…maybe I can talk her in to coming with me. You will be about 3.5 hours from me so it’s doable :).

  14. This is such a lovely outfit! I adore those heels, wish they were still available! It’s so interesting to hear how God is using you through your speaking engagements! I hope you are able to come to Colorado one day! If live to hear you and have the chance to meet you! Have a blessed day Cyndi!

    1. Ha, ha! “I’d love to hear you”, not” if I live to hear you”…but then again, that’s all in God’s hands isn’t it! (wink, wink)

  15. I love the Harper pant from OldNavy! I have (3) different colors and adding this camel one would be ideal for winter! Thanks for sharing!

  16. What a nice outfit Cyndi! Black and camel together is such a classy and sophisticated look. I hope everything is going smoothly for you with a guest in your home.

    Have a blessed day!

  17. My favorite is the Camel/Black…..very classy. Although, those pants look a bit saggy in the crotch area on you……just sayin!
