Fashion Friday-Fall Dress

Hello Friday! It doesn’t matter what my weekend holds, I always love Friday. Don’t you??

Today I’m sharing this fall dress I wore a few weeks ago because it has been restocked. I know sometimes Glamour Farms sells out (and believe me they order a lot of the items I style) and they can’t get more.

It’s frustrating for them and for me but this one they have restocked. As the weather gets cooler, I’m going to wear a pair of tall boots with this dress.

My tassel clutch is from Target and is sold out and my flower bracelet is from Francesca’s but it’s not online.

Let’s talk hair!

After I wrote my post on Tuesday, I realized I didn’t give enough details about my products, etc. Here  are some answers to your questions.

Do I wash my hair everyday?

Yes, I typically do. My hair doesn’t do good the day after I wash it, plus I’m always taking pictures for the blog. I feel better washing it everyday using the Monat hair products.

Where can you find the teasing brush I mentioned in  my video?

Walmart, Target, CVS Pharmacy, Ulta, should all carry the brush. Here is one from Ulta.

What products from Monat do you use?

Most of the time I use the Balance Treatment System.  I  also use this Tousled Texturizing Mist. You can use this on dry hair. If I need a refresh later in the day, I will use a little of this in my hair.

What Tresemme hairspray do you use?

I use the Tresemme ultra fine mist to spray when my hair is in velcro rollers. After I take them out and style my hair I spray it with the Tresemme Extra Hold Hair Spray.

I hope that answers some of your questions!! Sorry I haven’t been able to get them answered sooner.

I’m so honored that you have taken time out of your day to stop by my blog. If you don’t want to miss a post, you can sign up to receive my daily emails and you’ll never miss a thing. I’m also on FacebookPinterest and my favorite one, Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~ I have shared this poem before but I really like it so I’m sharing it again.

Life is not a race – but indeed a journey. Be honest. Work hard. Be choosy. Say “thank you”, “I love you”, and “great job” to someone each day.

Go to church, take time for prayer. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh, Let your handshake mean more than pen and paper. Love your life and what you’ve been given, it is not accidental – search for your purpose and do it as best you can.

Dreaming does matter it allows you to become that which you aspire to be. Laugh often. Appreciate the little things in life and enjoy them.

Some of the best things really are free. Do not worry, less wrinkles are more becoming. Forgive, it frees the soul. Take time for yourself – plan for longevity.

Recognize the special people you’ve been blessed to know. Live for today, enjoy the moment. ~Bonnie L. Mohr

Have a blessed day!

  1. I love all the purses, but always forgot stuff when I switched so I bought a Michi purse. You keep the same shell and switch up the outside with different patterns or colors. They stay on magnetically. I have had one for 7 years now and have 12 different outsides and 4 different straps.

Glad to hear your travels were safe.

This dress is beautiful on you, Love the colors and pattern.

  2. Hey! Praying your conference is going great. God getting the glory! Im new to your blog and want to ask about baby Bennett. How is she doing? Love your blog. You are a true SIC. Sister in Christ!!!

  3. How do you change purses with such ease? I always forget something or just don’t want to hassle with the switch.
Any secrets to make it quick and easy?

    1. I don’t think I do it with ease. Ha! I have seen an easy way to do it by having small pouches with all your things in them and then you just switch your pouches from purse to purse. I have wanted to try this but I haven’t done it yet.

  4. Thank you for sharing all Cyndi, love the dress, the poem, and hair tips (just tonight my daughter said mine needs help!). And prayers for you for this weekend.

  5. Love the dress. Wear do I find the shoes like them a lot? Prayers go out to you on your trip. Really enjoyed your quotes above I took time reading each they hit home. Thank you.😊

    1. Fawn the shoes are from Glamour Farms too. If you click the link under What I’m wearing it will take you to the shoes. Hope that helps!!

  6. Thank you for your hair tutorial. I have a couple of questions. Is your hair completely dry when you roll and also about how long do you leave the rollers in?

    Thanks

  7. I love this dress and it looks great on you. Praying for safe travels. I would love to hear you speak some day!

  8. Thanks for the hair tips. I had the rollers but wasn’t using them. Adjusted my routine and I like the results better. Smoother but with more volume. Thanks again and safe travels

  9. Hi Cyndi! Safe travels for you and I also hope everything is good in your life. I sense a twinge of anxiety in your words. I look forward to your blog everyday and you are such an inspiration to so many of us women . I am praying for a stress free weekend for you!

  10. Thank you so much for the hair tips. I’ll continue to say prayers for your health and well being this weekend. Safe travels as well.

  11. I’m praying for your safety.

Thank you for the update on the dress. I ordered one. I’m so excited!! I live in KY, too, and I can’t believe how warm it has been. This dress will be perfect!

  12. Cyndi~ Godspeed! Thank you for everything you share each day! You’re so gracious! I think a lot of people would love to look like you, and you give all your beauty tips. Best wishes to you and your husband (and family) for a great weekend!

  13. Cyndi ~ I am praying for your trip and speaking engagement in Georgia. Just be your sweet self and God will take care of the rest! I love reading your blog… you are a comfort and an inspiration!

  14. I’ve had this dress in my “cart” but haven’t pulled the plug. Do you think this dress runs true to size? Or does it run big? It looks great on you. I’ve never bought anything from Glamour Farms and hesitant due to sizing. Have a great trip. Thanks.

  15. Sending prayers for your trip and speaking engagement. I’m bummed because I had hoped to go, but realized later it’s the same day as my daughter’s birthday. Interested to hear “your story” when you can share it. LOVE the beauty for the heart today – beautiful! so thank you for that.
The dress…I ordered it, but returned it. The colors were different than I expected – thought the dark color was black, and it’s brown, and the gold just didn’t go well with my coloring – and there seemed to be a lot more of the gold than I thought there would be. One positive though, it was super comfy :). This dress would look fantastic on a red-head because of the “warmer” colors.

  16. First I want to wish you a wonderful trip and will be praying for you that all goes well. Second, I ordered that dress and booties. I thought I needed the medium as that’s what I normally wear but it was sold out so I took a chance on the small and it fits great. The material is so forgiving but I’m sure glad you had them take off some of the material 😀
Last, I had to return the booties and I was so disappointed because I loved them. I ordered a six which is what I usually wear and they were a little too big and I also thought the heel was a bit to chunky (which I didn’t notice in your picture) but I tried them on several times hoping somehow I could make them work and my daughter agreed and we thought maybe it’s because I’m petite and have a small foot they just appeared too big. Ugh! I was crushed but GF nicely and quickly refunded my money. Have a great weekend!

  17. Cyndi, I enjoy visiting your website and thank you for doing it. I really appreciate your hair segments. It has been really hard for me to explain to my hairdressers how I like my hair to look( especially the bangs). Since I live in Nashville, Tn, I was thinking of taking a trip to Kentucky to get a good haircut by your person if you would share that contact information. It would be sooooooo appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Jan Short

  18. Praying for good health, safe travels, and God’s anointing over your words as you speak this weekend Cyndi.
I love the poem, thanks for sharing! ❤️

  19. I’m flying to New Orleans to celebrate my husband’s birthday and I have to tell you it was so easy to pack! All I had to do was look back at your blog:) It looks like it may get up to 90 degrees and I was in full on fall mode. Enjoy your time in Georgia!

  20. I bought that dress from the first time you styled it and I love it! I am planning on wearing it this weekend to my father in laws 80th birthday brunch.
