Stripes and Sleeveless Blazer

During my 26 Days of Fall Fashion, I styled this long sleeveless blazer. I recently saw another blogger style it with a black striped top and black choker and decided I would try it.

It’s nice to have different options of styling at item. I have also seen this type of blazer styled with a black skirt so I might try that soon.

camel-vest-1These over the knee boots are from Loft. I purchased them when they were having their 50% off sales which makes them much more reasonable.

camel-vest-5A striped top is a basic wardrobe piece that can be styled with so many different outfits. I recently wore this top with my poncho from Old Navy.

This is a great cool weather outfit for church or if you can wear black jeans to work, it would be a great work wear outfit.

  1. I just got a blush colored sleeveless blazer yesterday , as i am a lover of vest of all kinds. I can’t wait to style it soon.
I love the black, white and tan colors together. The Glamour Farms dress came back in again and one of your readers saw that I’d missed it and made me aware, so I bought it today!

  2. PS I don’t know why I haven’t responded earlier Cyndi ,because I love your fashion and have bought many of your things you have styled over the months since April. We have same taste and I’ve already had many things in my closet you end up styling. 🙂 I went back to read years earlier of your blog and many similarities in our families and I lost my dad around same time you lost your mom etc. Its amazing how you can feel like you know someone just from reading their blog, but the Lord shines so brightly through your words and life you share, so I know that is how. Bless, bless, bless you.

  3. This is my first time responding since I found your blog in April. I love everything about what you do, Cyndi and your love for the Lord. I’ve been blessed over these months by your Beauty for the Heart, but especially today the verse from Psalms spoke to me this morning, after hearing about a friend dying in a car accident over the weekend at only 31 yrs. old. He loved the Lord and was a gentle, quiet spirit with a servant heart. My heart is broke for his wife. Please all of you pray for her and their family. Thanks so much.

  4. Cyndi, love the look and I really enjoy your blog! Do you use a wardrobe app to keep up with the different outfits you style? If so, do you mind sharing?
    Thanks!

  5. Cindy I love the striped top you are wearing with the sleeveless blazer. I love the. Longer shirt tail hem. Nordstrom is sold out of the top. Have you found anything similar at another store?

By the way I love your blog!!

  6. I love that scripture!! Have you heard the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir sing “Thou, O Lord”? Google it! It’ll make you have a little Jesus moment wherever you are!

    1. Marla Yes! We love the Brooklyn Tabernacle and have heard them in person. We have been to Brooklyn twice to worship there. It’s amazing!!
      Blessings,
      Cyndi

  7. Just ordered the striped top. Can’t wait to wear it. Very reasonable and free shipping. So excited. Love your whole outfit today.

  8. I look for your blog almost every day and I’m not a blog follower. I appreciate your style and glean helpful hints and order some things online and since I live three hours away from good shopping, it has revolutionized my clothes shopping. Thanks for all of that, but mostly, thank you for being real and humble and loving Jesus and giving His name glory in the everyday things. You get it that this really is about His name and His kingdom and that He uses your talents in fashion just as a worship leader’s talent in music. Carry on, dear faithful one. The best is yet to come.

  9. I love this look! Quick question…wasn’t this a trend for Ladies back in the 70’s? My mom had a few of these and my mother in law never stopped wearing them…hahaha!!! What were they called then? Didn’t Katherine Hepburn wear one in Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner? Still love the sleekness of this look!

  10. Question?? What do we do when the weather gets cold and we need to wear a coat with our long dusters, sweaters, etc!? Go through this every winter!!!

  11. I just bought this blazer and plan to wear it at my convention in NYC next week. Thanks for the suggestion!!!

  12. I love the sleeveless blazers but I seem to struggle styling them – thank you for showing options! My daughter wore a black one with a black skirt and striped shirt this past weekend and it was super cute. She changed it up with shorter necklace with deep pink, emerald green, and royal blue stones. I was inspired :), and now seeing you with a similar look…well, I just may have to get one.

  13. Cyndi, I really need this Beauty For the Heart today because I am very discouraged with the weight I’ve gained that the doctor & I want off by early December. I have to start walking every day, no excuses of any kind.

    Very nice outfit!

    God bless!

  14. I absolutely love the sleeveless blazers! To me they are a great combo of looking professional, yet still casual!
When it’s really cold, I even layer a jacket (usually my leather jacket) under them to keep my arms warm!!
I love this combo with the stripes—stripes are always a good idea Cyndi!!
