Floral Blouse with Bell Sleeves

I have a thing for floral blouses and if it has a bell sleeve then I’m hooked. This beautiful floral blouse from Banana Republic has all of the above.

floral-top-4This blouse has hints of pink which is a popular fall color this year.

floral-top-3I’m wearing a pair of burgundy jeans but this blouse would look good with gray slacks for work wear.

floral-top-2I love my gray booties and I have worn them a lot this fall. I have added some other options below for gray booties that are at a better price point.

floral-topWhen the weather turns cold, a cardigan can be added. This long gray cardigan is from Old Navy comes in several colors.

Beauty For the Heart~~My Mom wrote for our local newspaper years ago and she had shared this poem. I have shared it before but it’s worth repeating.

Wouldn’t this old world be better
If the folks we meet would say –
“I know something good about you!”
And treat us just that way?

Wouldn’t it be fine and dandy
If each handclasp, fond and true,
Carried with it this assurance –
“I know something good about you!”

Wouldn’t life be lots more happy
If the good that’s in us all
Were the only thing about us
That folks bothered to recall?

Wouldn’t life be lots more happy
If we praised the good we see?
For there’s such a lot of goodness
In the worst of you and me!

Wouldn’t it be nice to practice
That fine way of thinking, too?

You know something good about me;
I know something good about you. -Louis C. Shimon

  1. Beautiful poem!! The colors you have on today look awesome on you.
The scripture you sent today is so helpful when you work with many people!!
Have a blessed evening and thank you for ALL you do for everyone!!

  2. Thank you for sharing your mom’s poem. It’s such a good inspiration for all of us to live by.
I also want to thank you for styling the Aimee Kestenberg Grey purse last year. My husband ordered it as a Christmas gift and I wore it last fall, then put it away for the summer (not that I wanted to) but thought it could use a break. But, I have taken it out again and it still looks great. I absolutely love it! I went to her website just this week to look for a black one, but they are sold out. I did find a couple of others I may consider 🙂

  3. Hi Cyndi,
I love your cute booties. I have purchased two pair…one black and one neutral. HOWEVER, I am a teacher at a university. I stand or walk all day. Is there another look to go with skinny jeans that won’t have my feet killing me at the end of the day?
    God Bless you!

  4. I love your posts, but there are many of us including me who cannot wear a heel of any type. Please include shoes/boots that are flat. Thanks for all you do, have a blessed day.

    1. I am always on the lookout for flat boots myself, or you can wear flat riding boots. Thank God for Zapoos and Nordstrom!

  5. Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem. Also thank you for your blog. I love seeing what you’re wearing each day and look so forward to reading “Beauty For the Heart”. Bless You.

  6. Thank you! I have a new bell sleeve blouse and was wondering how to layer it. Under a cardigan with the bells pulled down is perfect. I will try that. You look lovely BTW.

  7. I love the poem you shared. I love your blog and your heart. I am so thankful to have found your blog. You are inspiring!!!

  8. What a wonderful poem from your mom—how blessed you were to have her in your life.
I like the bell sleeve trend, but I find the long sleeve ones seem to get in the way for a lot of activities. Although I must admit the print on that shirt is beautiful!! Pink and burgundy are one of my fave combinations lately!
