God Sees The Bigger Picture

God Sees The Bigger PictureSometimes I lift my prayer requests up to the Lord. I wait for him to answer and He does but with the busyness of life, I forget to say thank you.

I love how this song reminds us to say thank you. Thank you for His faithful, for His grace and for all He has done for us.

God is faithful and He does answer our requests although it’s not always the way we want, but it’s always what is best for us.

Remember God sees the bigger picture. He sees the beginning and the end.

Psalm 139:16 says, You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.

1 Corinthians 13:12, Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.

I’m thankful God is in control and He holds my future.

This week try keeping a journal with all your prayer requests written down. As the prayers are answered, write out to the side “thank you”.

Has God recently answered one of your prayer requests?

Have a blessed day!

  1. Thanks again for your beautiful and timely posts that always remind of what is truest and best in this life. Some time ago, you mentioned a book, specifically for women, I think, about deepening your connection with God. I’d like to read it to stay grounded this holiday season and to reflect and be more grateful. But, I’ve forgotten the name and can’t seem to find your old post. Could you please remind me/us what that book was called? Thanks for everything!

    1. Hi Linn
Sorry I’m just getting to your question. I’m not sure but I think the devotional books are by Katie Orr http://rstyle.me/n/b8hkjspcsw
She has Everyday Peace, Everyday Hope, Everyday Love and Everyday Faith. I have done them all and I love them.
      Hope that helps! Merry Christmas,
      cyndi

  2. I love, love fall and I decorate. But I also love, love Christmas. I volunteer year round with Operation Christmas Child, so I get in the Christmas spirit a lot earlier than most folks. I was wanting to put my tree up in Sept/Oct but teen would have killed me. This is National Collection Week so craziness ensues. I think I’ll get my tree up right before Thanksgiving.

  3. What a wonderful message at this time of year. I am so very thankful for all that God has done for me and my family. Prayer is very powerful, never stop!

  4. Hi Cyn, I’m so glad I stop to read my email lots of time I’m crocheting the song was just what I needed to hear, I’m truly thankful for GODS grace and mercy but I know I don’t thank HIM enough I thank GOD for what He’s done and also what HE hasn’t done, I know GOD has my back, he knows what’s best for me. You’re a blessing
    GOD bless you

  5. Good morning, Cyndi! You are beautiful inside and out and I appreciate your heart! Thank you for all the styling advice. I have made 4 or more purchases from your recommended products. Haven’t returned one! And yes I have 2 Christmas trees up as of yesterday. I LOVE Christmas!!! JESUS is truly awesome and I love to celebrate HIS birth. Blessings to you and your family. I send you love in the matchless name of JESUS… Tracy

  6. Thank you for the beautiful song! So much to thank God for and sometimes we do forget. I am so grateful for all he has done and given to me. He is an awesome God! Thank you, Cyndi, for the scripture readings and the reminders you send out. I look forward to your daily posts, you are an amazing person!! Christmas is one of my favorite holidays and I love to decorate. Can’t wait to read your blog on decorating.

  7. God is so merciful and worthy to be praised. To Him, I give all thanks because I know the way will be made clear. God is a good God and on Him I can depend. Man will falter but God will always be that same God as He was for Jacob, Isaac, Naomi. Thank you for your daily reminders. To Him I give all thanks.

  8. I think some prayers were definitely answered this week for us. I had a kickback on my table saw, I usually work alone in my shop, but right after my accident my daughter came over (she’s a teacher and had Veteran’s Day off). I ended up with a garage full of firemen, a day in ER, but my injures were minor so all is good.

  9. A few years ago I decided to always begin my prayer time with thankfulness and gratitude. I have been amazed at how that has changed my prayer time as well as my attitude. Thanks Cyndi for the always great posts. I’m thankful I found your blog.

  10. Thanks for the reminder Cyndi that the Lord does see the whole picture and I only a single piece of the puzzle at times. That’s why I need to stop, be still and remind myself who He is and that He’s got it and has more in store for me (us) than I can think or imagine. I’m thankful for you and your ministry!

  11. I love fall. I decorate a lot for fall. But I start my Christmas decorations the day after thanksgiving. I had to put both of my parents in assisted living yesterday due to them having some dementia. It was very hard and sad. Please pray for us. I was so thankful for the prayers that were answered. We give God all the glory. He gave them clear minds at the time. They said they knew it was best and as long as they were together that’s slll that matters. Their love that they show to ea.othet is a demonstration of God’s love. So very sweet. ❤️🙏

  12. Such a sweet post. And yes, I too need to thank God for all my many blessings instead of just praying for more. Thank you for a well needed reminder. Love your idea of writing it down.

  13. Cyndi, I have been shown time and time again, that God does not always answer my prayers in a way that I like. But He knows best and the whole picture.

All of our Christmas decorations are up and the lights on. We do enjoy Thanksgiving and know it’s meaning, but we love Christmas. I can just sit and stre at the lights and be so content. This Christmas is going to be tough since it’s the first one since my moms death. We are not in the house we shared with mom for many holidays and this year we will be dealing with Larry’s chemo, so it’s definitely going to be very different.

    Have a blessed day!

  14. Cyndi Thank you for that reminder that God is bigger and answers in away that is best for us. Christmas is our favorite holiday for decorating. We start the day after Thanksgiving. I have to wait for my brother to come and carry the tree yp from the basement make him work a little for his gifts 😉
