New Year’s Eve Outfit Inspiration

Today I’m teaming up with the ladies at Take Time for Style to share some New Year’s Eve Outfit Inspiration. Kristin and Megan have a casual look and I’m styling an Eliza J fit and flare dress for a dressier look.

I’m a huge fan of Eliza J dresses. They seem to fit me well and I’m always pleased with the quality.

The cold-shoulder cutouts bring a contemporary feel which makes it a not-so-boring little black dress.

A colorful coat would be perfect to add to this New Year’s Eve outfit if the weather is cold. So, do you have New Year’s Eve plans? Or will you be ringing in the New Year in a comfy pair of pajamas?

  1. I ordered this as soon as I saw it on you. It is GORGEOUS and I love the pockets. I have no plans for NYE as of now, but this adorable dress can’t stay hanging in the closet!

  2. Love this dress Cyndi, you look stunning in it. Like you I will see the New Year in wearing my pyjamas😀 We will all
Be having a pyjama party in different parts of the world, mine a few hours before you.
I’m also thinking of all those in Berlin, it absolutely horrific😘

  3. Now, wait, your not going out ? Who took this pic ? When I try this kind of dress on for my husband, he says Wow !! we are going out LOL Love the dress, I have several dresses in this style. This is a perfect dress for Gaylord ballroom at Nashville Tenn. I’ll check it out. Thank’s !!

  4. Wow, such a beautiful dress and shoes! Everything looks absolutely gorgeous on you! I’m with you, I ring in the New Year in my pjs as well! Have a great afternoon!😊

  5. Agreed! Ringing in the new year in the comfort of my quite home with comfy pjs and my awesome husband is how I like to greet the new year!
Many blessings to you and your family this Christmas season!
P.S. The dress 👗 looks amazing on you!

  6. I’m with you, Cyndi. After years attending NYE affairs, I now like to stay at home with my hubby. Who better to celebrate with but the person you love the most.
I love the dress! You’ve accessorized with the perfect hose, necklace and high heels. Beautiful!

  7. I LOVE Eliza J fit & flare dresses. This one is my favorite LBD to wear. I feel like Jackie O in it! 🙂

This looks great on you, maybe you need to go to an early dinner somewhere then get in your jammies to watch the ball drop just so you can wear it! LOL!

  8. I too do not go out for New Year’s Eve, but I have a couple of events in January and loved this dress. It is on sale for $82.80 but they only have a size 8 left. Bummed as I love this dress and it looks great on you. I love the pumps also.

I too feel awful about everything going on in our world. I am putting my faith in God that he will make things good again.

Have a great week. It must have been cold the day you shot these photos as you looked a little cold.

  9. Lovely outfit.Perfect for New Year’s Eve, or to attend an evening holiday performance of the symphony, ballet, etc. I may need to run to Nordstroms before seeing Houston Ballet’s Nutcracker tomorrow night!

We are usually with close friends on New Year’s Eve. We take turns hosting. So, not pj’s, but jeans and a cute sweater are my plan.

I know this is a busy week for your husband, and with Christmas Day being on Sunday, Christmas morning he will be working. Praying for you and all pastor families. I appreciate how you all share them with your congregations, and not just at Christmas. Many blessings to you all.

  10. Love your dress! I too will be in my pajamas with my hubby at home on New Years Eve. It is not worth going out to us. Enjoy your day!

  11. You look so pretty in black and this is beautiful on you! As a blond, now mixed with gray, I have never been able to wear black close to my face. I, too am heavy hearted. A friend who has been waiting for 4 years for the perfect heart now has kidney cancer and he and his family are devastated! He has a 12 year old son and a lovely wife, who is pending back surgery. Would anyone who knows how to pray please pray for this family with me? Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

  12. You look great! Love the fit and flare style – and love the patterned tights. Have a great Christmas and New Year. Home for New Year’s and definitely in pj’s! 🙂

  13. This is perfect! I love the fact that it’s not sleeveless – I’ve never understood sleeveless in the dead of winter unless of course you’re very young and plan on a lot of dancing :).
I have no plans except to be home, warm, cozy and safe :).
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  14. Beautiful! I love fit & flare too- on petites it works well . It looks perfect on you! No plans here, probably just dinner & a movie.

  15. So pretty! Love the dress and the hose. 🙂 We don’t go out on NYE night, but we do go out for lunch. No one is out at lunchtime on NYE! We go to our favorite special occasion restaurant, order more expensive food than we would usually have, and always order dessert. We’ve done this for the last four years, I think. We talk about our goals and dreams for the new year. It’s one of our favorite holiday traditions.

    1. What a great idea! My husband hates dressing up and staying up till midnight! Your idea is a very good alternative! Thanks!

  16. I LOVE THIS!!!! Those textured hose and that necklace make it. So so cute. We are flying home from Maine on NYE and if all goes well, we’ll attend a neighborhood party that night. I’m sharing my NYE outfit in a few days. 🙂
