Are you ready to embrace wellness in 2017? Many of you reading my blog are women over the age of 40 and let’s be honest, our bodies start changing as we age.
With that being said, it doesn’t have to be a bad thing!! We can get healthy and feel good as we age. I often get asked “What are you doing to stay healthy?”.
I exercise, I try to eat healthy (although with the holidays, I’ve been eating a little unhealthy so I’m going to do better with the New Year).
The one thing that has changed my overall well being has been essential oils. Here is a little information about essential oils: Essential oils are multi-dimensional, filled with homeostatic intelligence to restore the body to a state of healthy balance.
When body conditions change, oils adapt, stimulating or repressing enzyme activity as needed, energizing or relaxing as needed, and giving our bodies the compounds it needs to stay well.
Essential oil molecules send information to cells and cleanse receptor sites so that they bring your body back to natural function. Oils are balancing to the body.
Oils address the causes of disease at a cellular level by deleting misinformation and reprogramming correct information so that cells function properly and in harmony with one another.
Because essential oils properly applied always work toward the restoration of proper bodily function, they do not cause undesirable side effects. They are feeding the body with what it needs to heal itself.
In 2010 I began my journey with essential oils and I have used them faithfully over the last 6 years. The premium starter kit from Young Living comes with all the items in the picture below. It’s a great place to start your oily journey.
Here are some popular oils and how they help with your overall health.

I have used essential oils for several years. Oil of Oregano (P73 version) has been my “go to” oil for years. But then I started using Young Living and I use them for everything. I have my diffuser going almost every day with Thieves in it or Lemon or at this time of year, Christmas Spirit. I highly recommend them. One of my New Year’s goals is to learn more about them and become my own little expert for my own use. The Embrace Wellness sheet in your post today is great and reminds me what each of the top oils are used for. Thank you and have a wonderful new year!
Hi Cyndi! I just recently have started using essential oils. I received a diffuser for Christmas:) Oils I am currently using: Lemon, Lavender, Peppermint, Rosemary, Cinnamon Leaf. They are all fantastic! Looking forward to trying more.
Yay!! You will love them!

Thank you so much for this post, Cyndi! I am a few months into using essential oils and have a lot to learn. Could you please share more details about the oils you mentioned using above? I am curious if you use certain ones daily, and if so, do you diffuse, drink with your water, or use topically? Also, are there certain ones that you mentioned that you just use as needed? Again, thanks so much!
I just started reading about essential oils. Am excited to start my journey. I would love to hear how you use yours. Thank you kindly.
I saw some of these oils and a diffuser while Christmas shopping. I didn’t buy any because I wasn’t sure how to use them, so I’m excited you will be educating us on your site. Enjoy your website every day.
I am excited to learn how you use them for hormonal balance!
I am in the 50 + club and just now going into the big M
Cyndi,
Thank you for sharing about essential oils! I’m very new to them. When applying topically, where do you apply the oil and how many times per day can you apply it? I always enjoy reading your blog!!
Thanks, Wendy
Wendy I apply them everywhere. My wrists, my neck, the bottoms of my feet, my forearms etc.
They only way to do it wrong is to NOT use them. They are wonderful!
Cyndi
Essential Oils are something I want to learn more about so I’m super excited that you’ll be including them in post in 2017!
Is there an oil that helps relieve arthritis pain?
I don’t specifically have this problem but there is a huge amount of info. on arthritis pain. I did read this: “make a cream in a 4 oz jar. I use 1/4 cup coconut oil and I melt it a little. Then I add 5 drops each of Panaway, wintergreen, copaiba, peppermint. I also hear aroma Siez is wonderful. Also don’t forget to drink Ningxia Red”
Hope that helps!
Cyndi
I love essential oils! Thanks for the info !!!
