The Camo Jacket Trend

Happy Friday! It’s hard to believe this is the last Friday of 2016. Whether or not we are ready, 2017 is almost here and I don’t know about you, but I love a FRESH start!

Camo is a huge trend this year and it never seems to go out of style, it just keeps getting updated each season. I’ve styled camo pants but today I’m styling a cute camo jacket.

Fashion blogger, Cyndi Spivey, styling a camo jacket.I’m wearing the Becca Long Sleeve Tee in black under the jacket. This tee has a longer length, cuffed sleeve, simple styling with a crew neck, and fitted silhouette. I’m wearing a medium in this tee. It comes in several colors plus it comes in curvy size too!

It’s made of 50% cotton and 50% polyester. Under my tee I’m wearing a cami short shaper in black.

Fashion blogger, Cyndi Spivey, styling a camo jacket. There are so many ways to style a camo jacket. It would look great with an all black outfit. It’s also trendy to wear over a casual black dress or a black and white striped dress. This is a great piece to add to your wardrobe.

I’m so thankful for new beginnings and the opportunity to be more focused on Jesus in 2017. Do you want to join me?

  1. Hi Cindi! Is the code for $10 off of this jacket still good? I am just now getting around to placing an order! Thank you!

  2. Do your Old Navy jeans stretch out at all? I’m in the market for some new jeans that fit my teacher’s salary budget. I’ve heard conflicting reports about Old Navy jeans getting stretched out.

  3. Thank you for sharing your faith and styles! Looking forward to seeing what 2017 brings! My Buffalo plaid tunic arrived yesterday just in time for our last family Christmas gathering g tomorrow!

  4. Great pieces…both! I see the buffalo plaid tunic is sold out again! Will keep my eye on it, in case it is restocked. Really like the camo jacket. I think I am in between medium and large…does it run small or large or true to size? You look just adorable in it and would fit right in here in El Paso, home of Ft. Bliss Army Base.

      1. Nice to meet you! I had a favorite student named Sarai. I was a librarian in EPISD until 2013. Do you ever return to El Paso to visit? Would love for you to stop by my blog. I love El Paso and blog a lot about it. Please leave me a comment if you run by!
        Enjoy a blessed 2017.

  5. I love all your posts. I look forward to your email everyday. You a very lovely lady. You have a very nice family. I also receive your sister’s email. Two very lovely ladies. A very Happy and Healthy New Year.

  6. You’re gorgeous as always, Cyndi. However, I’m not a fan of the camo trend. I love you hair! I’m using the Monet products since you wrote about them, and I couldn’t be happier. My daughter is now using it too.
Wishing you a very blessed new year.

  7. Hi Cyndi! You look adorable in the camo jacket. I’ve never worn anything camo but I might have to give it a try. Your hair looks great as well. Love the curls! Did you use a curling iron? What styling products did you use?

  8. I think it’s a cute jacket on you younger gals. But, I can not imagine myself (60 years young) wearing one.
Love your hair curled. It looks so soft and feminine.

  9. Oh Cyndi, I am thrilled that you styled the camp jacket from GF! That is something that definitely fits my lifestyle and something I will get a lot of wear out of, so I just ordered it. Thank you!

I had not thought about this being the last Friday of 2016. I pray that 2017 will be better for us and this great country.

    Have an awesome weekend!

  10. I love camo but only on Military, hunters, and country folk. Any one else, especially city people, its like a wanna be. My son who is a Marine said the same thing.

  11. I have several camo jackets from the 1990’s. We wear them outside to play in the snow. Otherwise we would never wear it. Trends come and go… Thank you for the Beauty of the Heart. Ready for a new start… Happy New Year!!!

  12. I love how you’re wearing this. The colors actually look better than the basic black everyone would normally wear. Either way, it would look great on you! I’m in my 50’s and I love your style. Thank you also for your daily Godly encouragements. Always be blessed!!!

  13. Cyndi, are you still using the Monat hair products? Which particular products are you using? Your hair looks really healthy and has grown a lot.

  14. I am with everyone I love the curls on you. I have been wanting to try something camo. Your correct it would look great with black jeans.

I am ready for 2017. I was putting my Christmas decorations away and instead of sad, I am thinking I feel all fresh and ready for a new year.

  15. Love the curls! Such a soft and totally new look for you. Also love the camo jacket but, unfortunately, not in my size. A blessed new year to you and yours!

  16. Love the camo on you! I don’t wear camo at all because of living in Mississippi & everyone who wears camo is a deer hunter, ha! You know they are from the Delta if they have a truck with a 4-wheeler in the back of the truck with a dog too . If I lived in New York or some fashion town I probably would because I would think of camo in a different way. Funny how that works! You look amazing in what ever you wear…you wear the clothes instead of the clothes wearing you. Happy New Year alittle early – don’t forget your black-eyed peas, cornbread & cabbage like I tend to do until the last minute. 🙂

  17. Thank you Cyndi for fixing my e-mail list problem so quickly! I was delighted to get your blog link today! This summer a group of ladies did The Armour of God study by Priscilla Shirer. It was so powerful for so many of us! I’m looking forward to doing the study again in our church Sunday school to begin the new year. Blessings to you in 2017!

  18. I’ve been considering the short shaper. I’m looking for light control and something that doesn’t roll up during the day. Do you recommend this shaper? I really enjoy your posts, thank you!

  19. I really like the camo look. Have really enjoyed this year 2016 with you sharing your ideas of styling and your family with us Thank You!!! So very much..
