We are What We Contemplate

St. Augustine says, We are What We Contemplate. The word contemplate means to gaze upon something, to allow something to occupy our mind and heart.

We are What We ContemplateWhat have you been contemplating this past week? What has occupied your heart and mind? If we want to live victoriously, we need to allow scripture to occupy our heart and our minds.

As you begin a new week, spend time reading God’s word. Colossians 3:16a reminds us to, Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives.”

I don’t know about you but I want to be filled with Christ so that He can shine!

This song will encourage you and remind you how NOTHING is impossible with God!

Have a blessed Sunday!

  1. Thank you for the song and video, Cindy. My husband and I could use some impossible right now. He has been battling a rare form of cancer for two years and the last two months have been one medical issue/catastrophe after another. I can’t wait to show him this. When things seem the darkest, there is a ray of light. It is HIs.

    1. Sharel,

I felt led to reply to you this morning as I have been where you are and still are to some degree. My husband suffered a massive stroke 7 years ago and it has been an up and down journey dealing with rehab, insurance, job loss, etc. What I can tell you is that our God is faithful, He loves us and cares for us more than we can ever comprehend. When you are dealing with medical conditions it is beyond what we can do but NOT what God can do. We have seen over and over again how God grants miracles… believe and trust in Him…never lose hope! I have grown closer to God and although I don’t like the trial I am so grateful for my relationship with Him. Praying for you and your husband.

  2. This is a sweet reminder to keep on mind fixed on Christ. How do you like to study Word? Do you read through a book of the Bible, do topical, or do a study? This is always the biggest challenge for me.

  3. Happy Sunday Cyndi!
Could you please post about your juice cleanse? I’m sorry if I have missed it! I would love to know which one you ordered and if you would recommend it.
    Thanks so much!
    Gigi

  5. Cyndi,
I read your posts daily and love Sunday posts. Bless you as you continue to help us clothe ourselves in fashion and dignity.

  6. I actually read this when I came home from today and it showed me that God lets us receive things at the right time because the pastor preached almost the same thing this morning. Thank you.

  7. Thank you so much Cyndi. Your message was just what I needed this morning. Its Day 9 in my house from sickness and I have to admit my mind hasn’t been where it should be. I’m discouraged and need to feel healthy once again. Bless you today.

  8. Great reminder Cyndi; we can choose to ignore the negative rhetoric around us in our world right now. Make our lives filled with positivity and hopefully it will be contagious to others. Thank you!
    (Love the song!)
