Spring 2017 Wearable Fashion

I always get excited to style clothes at the beginning of a season. It’s fun to see what trends start hitting the stores and what we will actually wear.

Today I’m sharing some Spring 2017 Wearable Fashion that I will be styling soon. Some of these pieces I have or have ordered for my spring series.

I purchased this tunic and I plan on styling it soon.

Clip dot oxford tunic

I’m sharing several jackets that are basic wardrobe pieces. When the seasons change, I love adding a jacket to my outfits.

Embroidered-trim utility jacket

I’m sharing several floral blouses but it’s the details that I love on each one. This one has ruffle sleeves and hemline.

Floral Print Ruffle Blouse

This blouse has ruffles on the neckline and I love the colors.

Dillon-Fit Ruffle Front Floral Blouse

Mules are definitely a spring shoe trend.

Leather mules

Flats are always on trend and these come in several colors including black. I don’t have a black flat so I’m looking to add that to my wardrobe.

Scalloped ballet flat

A cute sling back bootie is great to wear as the weather warms up.

Sueded Sling-Back Booties

I have a similar pair of these booties, mine are Toms and more expensive. I thought these were a great less expensive option.

Sueded Peep-Toe Ankle Boots

I love a striped dress and this one has long sleeves which is perfect for early spring. It comes in several colors.

Heavy-Knit Shift Dress

A denim jacket is great to add to your spring outfits. This one from Old Navy and is a good price point.

Denim Jacket

I also like having a lightweight coat for spring. This coat comes in navy, black and a canvas color. I ordered the canvas color.

What are some spring trends you would like to see?

Beauty for the Heart~~“For whatever is in your heart determines what you say.” Matthew 12:34b (NLV)

This verse reminds me that what I say, and how I speak reveals what’s in my heart.  I want my words to be words that reflect the fruit of the spirit.

Have a blessed day!

  1. Enjoy Nashville! I just returned from a quick trip there and you definitely need to eat at Bisquit Love!! Oh my – it is sooo good and you won’t be disappointed if you give it a try!! Happy travels

  2. I love both of the shoe options from Old Navy…I just wish they carried size 5. The price point is also great. Since Nordstrom has decided to no longer carry Ivanka’s fashion line, I will no longer be ordering from them. Less money for them and more for me 🙂

  3. Hi Cyndi,
    I really enjoy your blog!
I would love to see something with a raincoat in your spring outfits.
    Thanks for a great blog!

  4. Any chance you are speaking while in Nashville? I will be visiting there too and would love to meet and hear you speak!

  5. Ah Spring! We are just digging out after getting a huge dump of snow 24.6cm over 3 days (10 inches) and temps have been around -27 Celcius with the wind chill (-17F). BRRRRRR! No school closures as we are used to this weather LOL! Supposed to be +5 Celcius (41 F) by Saturday. Man am I ready for spring!! 🙂
Have a great time in Nashville. Looking forward to all the pictures! I really like the floral trend and have at least 3 skirts that look like they will be “on trend” this spring!

  6. yes! excited about spring and spring clothes 🙂 – getting kind of tired of my winter-wear. Have fun in Nashville, and bring a coat – TN weather is fickle, we’ve had all seasons just this week.

  7. Hi Cyndi, make sure to bring a warm coat to Nashville so you don’t freeze like last year! You looked so cold in the pics. xoxo

  8. Hey- I purchased the striped dress back in the fall. Can’t wait to see what you add to it in the way of jewelry, purse and shoes because I’ve not come up with what to do! So glad we have you to help us! 😊 Love all your selections!

  9. If you’re going to Nashville and taking pictures try going to Belmont University. It’s a Christian campus with beautiful flowers, fountains and gazebos… a perfect back drop for you. So enjoy seeing your post each day, thanks!

  10. I like seeing some feminine pieces for spring. We are so far south in GA, that long sleeves won’t be needed as we transition into the warmer season. I know that you and Jo-Lynne will have another awesome girls weekend in Nashville. Hopefully, the weather will be more pleasant this year.

  11. I like all these trends. The utility jacket is a bit more tailored than usual. I like that! I love that coat, as it will look great with most everything in my wardrobe. The blouses are cute picks and everyone needs a jean jacket or two. I like a little something different about my jean jackets so I’ll keep looking.
We got a big dump of snow last night just when I was hoping for an early spring.

  12. I love the Old Navy shift dress. The description says hits at the knee…the pictures show otherwise. Can’t wait to see you style it. It’s a blizzard here so it’s a perfect day to look at the spring styles. Have a great trip!

  13. I am ready for spring… However I already have the shoes, Jean jacket, olive jacket, striped dress, stripe tops, tunics and so on … I have been following you for a while and added these over time already. Maybe I can find some accessory pieces Excited for you girls to go on your trip 😄

  14. Great to see some spring inspiration today Cyndi. We had a 63 degree day yesterday and today we are having a blizzard!! 6-12″ expected. Yikes!! Enjoy your day 😉

  15. Cute Spring clothing! I got the cutest top at work at my once a week job in the Boutique at Stein Mart Monday that is embroidered down the sleeves and gauzey white & swingy – had matching cami under it. I love casual in the South…….cropped jeans, cute Yellow Box flip flops or any sandal for that matter & the peep toe booties in the nude I love you posted – bought a pair already, ha! and TDF cute tops to dress up the jeans somewhat. I do wear maxi dresses with short sleeve blue jean jacket some……..I hate I can’t get my arms firmer fast. I went to dermatologist yesterday to get spot zapped on nose & asked about retinol & we discussed some easy things I could do as a :)ge creeps in & not wanting to age too gracefully- LOL! I am running back nest week & picking up my retinol that is lowest prescription strength…she was out of it yesterday. Love that I have a great derm office near me here. Spring is great time to renew 🙂 The bell sleeve top is TDF with peplum. Love , love that!

  16. I’m excited about all the spring trends and already see some items I like. My daughter recently worn my jean jacket and accidentally left it at a friends house and I don’t know when I’ll get it back so I think I’m going to invest in a new one, since the Old Navy jacket, comes in petite 👍

    1. Hi Gloria,

fyi on the Jean jacket – Gap also has a Petite size I just purchased which I think I will wear a lot!!

  17. Im also going to be in Nashville at the end of the month (for work) – I’ll watch for you 🙂 . If you some someone looking at your weirdly and waving it might be me lol!!!

  18. It is fun to see what the new items will be for spring.
I’ve seen a lot of the statement sleeves and I think it could work for women of any age! Some of the long sleeve ones seem impractical since they’d get in the way all the time, so I really like the blouse you’ve shown since the sleeves are 3/4 length!
I know my stepmom (the 60’s model on my blog) never loved the mule shoes because they slap when you walk–LOL. I’ll have to see if I can coax her into them again!!
