Ruffled Cold Shoulder Top-Spring Fashion

Let the weekend begin! We are expecting a warmer than usual weekend so it’s only fitting that I share some spring fashion, right?

This ruffled cold shoulder top is right on trend and I love all the details. It comes in a denim blue color (I’m wearing), sage, and a taupe.

I styled this outfit with a spring bootie but this top can be worn in warm weather with a cute pair of sandals. Glamour Farms has a very similar bootie here

Here is another option with the sage color. These tops would look great with white jeans!

Beauty for the Heart~~Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 2 Corinthians 12:9

I’m so thankful for grace! If you think you’ve sinned too much, or you have too much in your past, let me assure you there’s nothing you have done that His grace can’t cover.

Have a blessed day!

  1. Really cute & just my style of dressing……..you look fab! I wore my nude peep toe booties to Jason’s Deli today for lunch with husband & daughter. They are so comfortable….mine are White Mountain I believe. Come on Spring!!!!

  2. So, this is the first time I have ordered ANYTHING via a blog link…thanks to the darling model wearing the top on this blog! 🙂

  3. I wasn’t going to buy anymore cold-shoulder tops, but this one is so cute and the price is great. I discovered Glamour Farms because of you; thank you! I plan to buy this one in the green shade.

  4. Hi Cyndi… I am so glad I found your blog!!! I’m not into Pinterest, blogs, Facebook but I found yours and look forward to reading it each morning! The best part is your “Beauty for the Heart”. It’s always good to see what God has to say. I am almost 70, and I find your outfits are generally good for me. I too am not a fan of the cold shoulder look for myself but it looks good on you and lots of other ladies. My question is how to size jeans. I do mostly online shopping as I live in a small town that only has 1 department store that is pitiful!!! I wear a 6 curvy in Talbots jeans/pants, and I just bought some Lucky Brand Brooke leggings in size 10/30. Should I order a 30 in other brands? Hope you or another reader can answer my question. Thanks for your daily help and encouragement. God bless you!

  5. I love the look on you–but although we have had a relatively mild winter here, it’s still too chilly for me!
However, I am in Florida at a conference this week, and the weather is PERFECTION!! Cool, breezy, low humidity–I understand why people “snowbird”!

  6. Cyndi – you look beautiful, as always. I ordered the shampoo balance system you recommended but the instructions were pretty sketchy – would you share how you use the three products? THANKS so much and have a great weekend!

    1. Absolutely!! I love the balance system, it’s my favorite one. I shampoo my hair everyday with the shampoo. I try to leave it in my hair as long as I can while I shower. After I towel dry my hair I use about 3 squirts of the leave in conditioner. (I also use the tousled texturing mist).
At least 2 and sometimes 3 days a week I use the Replenish masque that comes with the system. I use it in the shower so I don’t always leave it in for a full 5 minutes.
I don’t use the leave in conditioner if I use the masque.
      I hope that helps!!
Let me know if you have any other questions,
      Cyndi

  7. Cyndi, I love this outfit .You look great in it , Thank you for braving the cold and wind just to send us great pictures . Did you mention what sizes you are wearing , I may have misses it . Thanks again !!!!!
    Have a great weekend !!!!

  8. Closet Spring Cleaning continues this weekend, if I have not worn it or forgot about it is it getting donated or on ebay.

I noticed your nail polish, what brand and color is that? Thank you.

    Have a great day!

    1. I’m also cleaning out my c,out, the perfect thing to do on a cold winter weekend. And I too noticed the beautiful pale nail polish. I’m anxiously a response as well.

  9. I was going to wait to ask this question when you post a blog wearing a dress, but I can’t wait… hee hee
Have you ever posted dresses for “Mother of the Bride” style? I will be one, come September and WOW there are soo many choices.. and opinions on what the mother of the bride should wear. Just curious. I’m. thinking of a sheath dress, would like a cold shoulder sheath, but would that still be appropriate?

    1. I have done that but it’s been a long time. I think the cold shoulder sheath would be pretty. I personally might stick to something more classic just so I don’t look back on the pictures and wonder why I was wearing a cold shoulder. 🙂

  10. Ps, I am a bustier woman, not real big but enough, and I believe this blouse would lay perfect between the boobies… Not to get to graphic, but I have worn plenty of blouses that look like they would make a poofy area right at the breasts but then being the material as some are, they lay just great over and between the breasts. I would definitely say this one would lay perfect on small or large busted women!!

  11. You look great Cyndi! Love both the colors of top and the booties! Stay warm! 🙂
I love the cold shoulder trend as long as you can hide your bra straps!

  12. I’m in love with this blouse in denim blue and the sage with white jeans too!!! I think I would choose a size smaller so not to have too much swing in it. It would make the perfect blouse for the first trimester of pregnancy when the belly is starting to pooch just a little.
You are very stunning in it and Love your hair!
I’ll try to catch up with some of your blogs, but I’m busy every morning planning my daughter’s wedding… that’s taking my time of a morning that I usually am on here glancing and loving your outfits !!!!

  13. My first purchase for spring 2017!!! Love that top, and bought it in blue and sage!!!! You look adorable although i’ll bet you were freezing!!! LOVE the cold sholder style!!!! can’t wait till the temperatures rise!!! Blessings!!

  14. I just cannot like this cold-shoulder top trend. I’m not busty or heavy, but it just looks trashy to me. YOU don’t, of course, but I just don’t like the trend. I’m enjoying learning to look for details on clothing like ruffles on a blouse or something interesting on the sleeves or the hemline. I appreciate you!

  15. Very cute on you – I couldn’t pull off the ruffles – as we “bustier” girls need to not draw any more attention to that area . I do love the booties, or shooties or whatever they’re called that you have on – I think I’ve got to have some of those this spring :).
Weekend plans – made a decision. We had a total kitchen reno done last summer and made our eating area part of the kitchen footprint, opened up a wall between the kitchen and dining room, and now what was a “formal” dining area is now an “all the time” dining area. The current furniture was just not what I wanted and no longer seems to fit. I settled on a table and chairs from the Magnolia Home collection by Joanna Gaines – and it is perfect! Again, after 6 months of looking I was happy to find something that would work both in the space and in my budget. Now I’m just ready to get it in the room :).

  16. WHAT A CUTE SHIRT, CYNDI! AND I LOVE THE SAGE VERSION TOO! AND THANK YOU FOR THAT GREAT VERSE & LESSON AT THE END!

  17. I really like the cold shoulder trend, Cyndi! I even wrote an article on it for Sixty + Me, but it was surprising how many older women didn’t love it!
I was wondering how to make it appropriate for the colder months and I had an idea of wearing a lace shirt under it…I haven’t tried it yet, but it could be cute?
