President’s Day Sales

Happy Monday! It’s President’s Day and while we celebrate our President’s, we also get to enjoy a lot of sales. I picked out some of my favorites from the stores I shop.

I am loving all the feminine blouses this season. I’m also seeing a lot of wide crop pants. They have been popular for several seasons but I haven’t styled them. They’re starting to grow on me so I’m going to style them for my Spring Series.

Here are some of my top picks!

Ann Taylor

Banana Republic

These are the sloan pants from Banana Republic. They’re all 40% off!

Baublebar

Gap

This top from Gap is 40% off.

Loft

Kate Spade

I purchased this Kate Spade bag during on of the sales and I love it. It’s classic and will last for years.

FRANCESCA’S // Dresses, handbags, and heels are 25% off for a limited time. BOGO 50% off on a large selection of clothing, accessories, jewelry, and shoes.

J.CREW // 30% off your purchase with code WEEKEND.

J.CREW FACTORY // 50% off everything; prices as marked.

LANDS’ END // 30% off your order.

LUCKY BRAND // BOGO 50% off new arrivals and take an extra 60% off sale styles + new styles just added.

NORDSTROM // Up to 50% off winter clearance event.

There are lots more sales going on today. Do you plan to do any shopping?

  1. I’m not a fan of the wide leg cropped pant. Are the slimmer versions not in style anymore? How about cuffed chinos?

  2. Hi Cindy. Love your and Jolynne’s blogs. Looking forward to receiving your emails every single day! I would love to see a mom’s uniform with low heels or sneakers with spring clothing, similar to what you just finished a week or two ago. Thank you!

  3. No shopping for me today. Can’t wait for your Spring series. But I have a question … I see over 50 posts saying we gals shouldn’t wear capris – but now I’m seeing the use the wide crop pants. So … what’s the difference? Not sure I’m going to get on the wide crop pant bandwagon, but I can’t wait to see how you style them – out of curiosity.

  4. I would love some suggestions for tops (to wear with leggings and/or jeans) for someone over 60 with a larger bust. I am finding tops are either too tight (and a larger size often looks just baggy) or make me look like I have a large “shelf”. Thanks.

  5. No more shopping for me… I’ve been on your recommended sites too much already, and I have several packages coming my way! I do love the Gap coral top with ruffles but coral and I do not look good together. Bummer!

  6. Oh, I just look ridiculous in wide crop pants! My lower legs are thin and I look like a bird wearing pants that are too short! That’s a trend that I just can’t pull off… 😜

  7. Probably no shopping for me today, as its pouring down rain and is suppose to all week and we live 1 hr. and 20 min. from the big malls. I could do online. 🙂 I would like to see casual skirts shown and how to wear shirt with them. After 50, I don’t really like wearing shorts as much, but prefer skirts, but its hard when the tops now are so long and if you wear them outside the skirt it looks too dumpy. What do you think about front tuck only? Looking forward to you sharing pictures of your Nashville trip with Jo-Lynn. Have a good day.

  8. Like Heidi, I’m really looking forward to spring style ideas as well! My request is more flat or low heel shoes and suggestions for jeans and longer shorts that work with flats for us tall girls. I love the way heels elongate the leg, but when your husband is half an inch shorter than you, you don’t really wear heels very often. Thanks!

  9. Looking forward to seeing the Spring series. I live in Florida an hour and a half from Disney, and have park hopper annual passes. So we will be going a lot, would like to see some cute comfortable outfits to wear to Disney

  10. Thanks for the sale round up! I just ordered a couple of your recommendations from Gap! I was so excited to see they had a similar style wedge I’ve been looking at for over $100 less! Great sale too because they don’t normally include denim and shoes in their promos 🙂

  11. Looking forward to your spring style ideas, Cyndi! Two requests … since we in Colorado get a lot of spring in winter and winter in spring days (and probably a lot of other states do too!), I’d love some ideas on how to swap back and forth and staying stylish. I’m kinda over the big bulky sweaters and blanket scarves of winter, but I know we’ll still get some cold days. The 2nd idea is I’d like to try the frayed hem look and I’ve seen a couple of bloggers post that you can fray your own jeans. Since I have multiple (no really MULTIPLE!) pairs of jeans, I’d love to know how to fray a pair. Thanks a bunch!!

    1. I simply used a seam ripper, and ripped the hem out of a pair of jeans. The next day, I saw this exact look (faded , etc where the hem was) on a website for full price. I suggest you try it like I did with a pair that’s a little short and one you hope to love again. Happy hem ripping!
