The Power of Us: Mother/Daughter Bloggers

Welcome to my 27 Days of Spring Fashion! Today I’m partnering with Sole Society to share “The Power of Us” and how important strong women are in our society and in our homes. (If you have followed my blog for very long, you know how much I love Sole Society!)

Since my daughter, Courtney, has recently started her own blog, I thought it would be fun to share some of our time together at my house.

I have enjoyed working with her on this new adventure! Courtney is a talented young lady and she has been wanting to start a blog for several years. She finally decided to take the plunge.

The Power of Us: Mother/Daughter Bloggers

There’s something special about a mother/daughter relationship. For our family, my mother was hugely influential in my life and in my daughter’s life too.

We are all pretty strong, independent women and we are passionate about family. We want to be women who influence our family and the people around us in a positive way.

The Power of Us: Mother/Daughter BloggersCourtney and I have spent a lot of time together the last few weeks talking about blogging and of course I have been helping her with her blog. That’s what mother’s do! Encourage our daughter’s to live out their passions.

The Power of Us: Mother/Daughter BloggersThe Power of Us: Mother/Daughter BloggersThe Power of Us: Mother/Daughter BloggersMy prayer is that Courtney will know that my true passion is knowing Christ. That’s what my Mom passed down to me and I want to share that with my daughter.

The Power of Us: Mother/Daughter BloggersThe Power of Us: Mother/Daughter Bloggers The Power of Us: Mother/Daughter BloggersHopefully we can make a difference in women’s lives by sharing what truly matters which is beauty from the inside.

The Power of Us: Mother/Daughter Bloggers The Power of Us: Mother/Daughter BloggersI’m so thankful for my daughter and our relationship. I can’t wait to see how God uses her blog!

I love Sole Society handbags and shoes but they have cute jewelry too.

Courtney is wearing Sole Society handbag, shoes, and ring. Courtney’s blouse is from Glamour Farms (discount code courtneylaurenstyle214 for $10 off)

I’m wearing Sole Society handbag, earrings, bracelet, and shoes. Also bell sleeve blouse and jeans.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by my blog. If you don’t want to miss a post, you can sign up to receive my daily emails and you’ll never miss a thing. I’m also on FacebookPinterest and my favorite one, Instagram.

Beauty for the Heart~~She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness. She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness. Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!” Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.

Have a blessed day!

  2. Love this post and I hope y’all post together more! I’ve been following your blog for quite some time and I love you style….and you hair (honestly I just love love love your hair!) Is this the same daughter that used to blog and has a son?

  3. Such a great post! You two look beautiful ! I have a daughter also so I know exactly what you mean & how you feel towards her. My daughter is the baby behind 2 boys so we were super glad to get a girl. Love the shoes and purses plus jewelry. Your blog is awesome as is your daughters. 🙂

  4. What a beautiful photo of the two of you and so glad you can be

there for her inside and out!!
    Have a blessed week!!

  5. What sweet pictures of you both! My daughter and I are very close too! Daughters are truly a gift from the Lord! Between her Mama and her Auntie, Courtney is in good hands learning how to Blog! I’ve already enjoyed reading the posts she’s shared!

  6. I have to say that this has to be one of my favorite posts and I have been following you for sometime now. Maybe it’s because I have a 20 year old daughter and we love to shop together, but most of all we have a wonderful bond and I see the same bond coming though from your beautiful pictures with Courtney. I am always showing my daughter, your pictures and what you are styling and can’t wait to share this one with her. I wish Courtney much success with her blog and hope that over time she gains the confidence that I see in you and the passion that you always share with us. I’m sure she has spent time reviewing other blogs for ideas and I wanted to share one that I recently found called Stylish Petite. Although some of her items are on the higher end ~ I have enjoyed following her because of how she describes what she is styling and because I can feel her excitement and passion. She recently shared some items from Sheln too and she did a great job researching the company and sharing the pros and cons…and that’s what a good fashion blogger does. From then on, I was hooked 🙂

  7. You two are just the cutest!! You look like sisters not mother and daughter! And these pictures are just beautiful. I can see the joy in both of you. Thanks for sharing! And I love the shoes and handbags!

  8. This is awesome and so beautiful! Courtney is beautiful and so blessed to have you for her Mama. I loved when you mentioned “Courtney is a talented young lady” – I have longed to hear those words from my own mother. I write Christian plays and songs, and when she came to see one of my favorite shows, my mom said to me, “there’s no way you wrote this. Not by yourself.” After 18 months of hard work, that really stung. I’ve had to learn to let that go and look for my love and acceptance from Jesus alone.
Anyhow, all of that to say, your words touched my heart! I myself have been blessed with sons, but perhaps someday I will have a close relationship with a daughter-in-love. :o)

  9. Wow, how exciting that your daughter is following in your footsteps. I love your blog and I am sure I will love hers as well. Very excited to see what she posts everyday! xoxo

  10. This is the sweetest post. There is clearly a mother daughter love, bond and friendship between you and Courtney. Thanks for sharing!

  11. Hey Cyndi! I love that you are collaborating with your daughter. What fun!! I love Courtney’s shoes in this post- they actually remind me of a pair I wore in high school many, many , many years ago! Isn’t it true that styles come back around? I was wondering if the strap around the ankle rubbed. It looks like the buckle lands right on the ankle. I am not into fashion over comfort!! Thanks!!

  12. wonderful story! could i ask a clothes question? The blouse you have on–i ordered it from your post last week, but felt overwhelmed by the huge bell sleeves that seemed longer on me too. do they soften with washing and not look so big? or i may just not have the body to pull off the look!

  13. Love mother/daughter working together. I am blessed with a beautiful daughter and so thankful for her. Thank you for your encouraging words every day especially about your mom. Lost my mom in January and it has been a very sad few months. Your encouragement has been so helpful to me. Thank you!! And, thank you for your style tips! Love it all!! I look forward to it everyday! Keep it coming!!

  14. You two look like you could be twins, and both of you are so beautiful… I , too, had a very strong and beautiful mother. She has been gone for eleven years and I miss her every day… She taught me so much, and I see her in myself so often… you and your daughter remind me a lot of my mom and I… Love your blog!!

  15. Please, please, please …….do this again! I just Love seeing Mother/Daughter relationships💗. I have 2 Daughters and am very, very close to💕. I want my light of Christ shine through me to them. Love your outfit Cyndi.

  18. So nice to see you two together. You both look so pretty in your outfits. I have enjoyed Courtney’s blog already and I know she will continue to bless others with it in the future. A mother-daughter bond is the best. I have 2 daughters(and a son) and we all are close. So nice to have your sister involved taking the pictures for you both. First day of Spring…… ENJOY!!!!!

  19. Daughters are truly a gift. My daughter lives in California with her husband who is in the Marines. They blessed us with a grandson 7 months ago. We talk and FaceTime almost every day. Both of you have beautiful smiles. Blessings on the blog.

  20. I love today’s post. You two ladies are beautiful! Best wishes on Courtney’s new blog. I just subscribed. May God continue to bless you both.

  21. Hi Cyndi,

What color nail polish do you have on? Love it. I’m looking to replace my old color, Orly Kiss the Bride.

    Thanks!

  22. So sweet! What great fun – although a lot of work I’m sure! There is something very special about the mother-daughter bond. My momma was my best friend, and my daughter and I are very close. I’ve never ordered from Sole Society so I may have to give them a look. You both are so pretty.
