Beauty For the Heart~~“God rewards those who seek Him. Not those who seek doctrine of religion or systems or creeds. Many settle for these lesser passions, but the reward goes to those who settle for nothing less than Jesus himself. And what is the reward? What awaits those who seek Jesus? Nothing short of the heart of Jesus.” -Max Lucado

  1. SO cute!! Are these online only or in-store? Also, has anyone ever ordered anything from STYLEWE?

    1. I went to JC Penney today and most of them are available at the store. I bought the cream lace one (same one Cyndi is getting)! It’s soooooo cute on.
      Hope this helps

  2. Enjoyed your post as always.
I imagine you are having many readers suggest ideas for you and Wayne as you move forward.
My experience with blogging is nil. I am strictly a viewer, but a thought popped into my somewhat elderly brain. Most men have difficulty selecting a wardrobe unless a female is involved. You and Wayne could show casual to a somewhat dressier style on a blog with comments from both of you.
I live in the deep south where most men’s style is dictated by comfort which is not always the best way to go. Also, the majority of men hate to shop if it goes longer than 30 minutes.
Best wishes for your future. I particularly eagerly read your words of wisdom and scripture. You were blessed to have a loving Christian woman as a mother who is with you everyday in your memories.

  3. First of all, I hope you and your husband find the path that God wants for your lives. It sounds as if you really seek His will and want that.

Thank you for sharing this post! I am old enough that I do not want my dresses as short as a lot of the ones available are now. I believe some of these dresses are closer to the knees and I will be more comfortable with them. I have ordered some of them and got the great discount also! I look forward to seeing if they will be the right length for me!

  4. I love shopping at JCP! I even got my husband going there to shop. I think he likes it more than me lol. Thank you for sharing the Beauty of the heart at the end of your posts. I look forward to that the most! May God bless you and your family!

  5. Have fun at Market!!! I’m dying to go sometime. My mom and I went YEARS ago, but it was an off time and a lot of things were closed. I bet Wayne will be awesome! He seems like a good sport about things like that. What a blessing…seriously. My husband is really good about hanging around stores when I’m shopping too.❤️

  6. Thank you for the sale info! I just ordered several of these styles, how can you go wrong with free shipping and 25% additional off?! I ordered 5 items for a total of $128! That’s smart shopping!

  7. Hi Cyndi! Love the dresses. I must have missed something about a new adventure for your family! I hope whatever it is turns out wonderful.

  8. Hi Cyndi! When you purchase dresses, do you ever buy a petite size? We seem to have a similar size but I find that to get a really great fitting dress up top, I need to move to the petite size. (I am 5′ 3″ so as long as it isn’t too short I can pull off the shorter length, I think you are taller) I loved the fit of the stitch fix box dress you posted recently!
Thanks so much for your posts, I look forward to them every day!!
    Mynette

    1. I don’t do petite because I’m 5’6″ and I already struggle with dresses being too short. Petite sizes are way too short.
      Blessings,
      Cyndi

  9. Thank you for this post! I just ordered #4 for my niece’s wedding in late May, I think it will work perfectly and the price can’t be beat!

  10. Those are very pretty choices. Can you please style midi or long dresses that cover legs completely??

  11. Thank you for sharing something affordable!!! I like all of the dresses that you posted! I already bought a dress for Easter but after seeing these, I might need to go get one for my son’s graduation! Thank you!!!

  12. Just bought “London Style dress from Penny’s yesterday for $35.00, with sleeves & below the knee, perfect for Easter $ a wedding this summer!!

  13. Pretty dresses! and even though I’m not shopping for an Easter dress – I’m wearing pants 🙂 – several of these would be very good work options. Love the wedges you tagged in your email too – super cute! Have fun in Atlanta, and enjoy your new adventure. I’ve said it before, but I’m so excited to see what the future holds for you and Wayne.

  14. Absolutely love JC Penney for dresses! I actually bought my Easter dress there about 3 weeks ago. My size goes quickly, so I buy way ahead!! Also, they are in my price range and I have a JC penney credit card for deeper discounts!! I pray that you and your husband find the path that God has before you! Have a wonderful time in Atlanta! Many blessings!!

  15. I love that first one!
Have you ever done a post on jumpsuit? I found a cute off the shoulder one on Nordstrom’s website. I wish you could try it on for me! lol It’s called Eliza J off the shoulder.

  16. Great post, because JCP has something for everyone and great prices. I love that you are going to order the lace dress, because I have a very similar one with bell sleeves that I am considering wearing to an event this weekend but worried that the lace would seem too old ladyish. Thanks for sharing!

  17. I have found JCPenney carries a brand called Alyx that makes sheath style dresses that work fabulously on my apple-shape! I’ve styled several of them on my blog and have bought two more! Their patterns are beautiful and they have stretch in all the right places!

  18. I so wish there were more dresses available that come at least to the knee. On my 5’8″ frame, most of these would be entirely too short for church… I would love to see a dress post with all below the knee dresses!

  19. Hi Cyndi! Love all the dresses in your post, but none of them would work on my pear-shaped body. I’ve been looking for a nice A-line or fit and flare dress that isn’t voluminous — the hunt is still on. Have a wonderful day!

    1. I just got an email this morning from Lane Bryant saying they have spring dresses in stock. There was a very cute v-neck, a-line, floral dress in the ad that looked cute! Good luck!

    2. I was in an Elder-Beerman store yesterday and they had many beautiful dresses. That may be a place to look. EB is part of Bon-Ton.

  20. We always try to dress up and wear dresses for Easter although I know many people are much more casual now.
In fact, the 3 of us (my mom, step mom & I ) would even wear hats as our Easter Bonnets!! We’re crazy—but it was so fun!!
    Thanks for showing these, Cyndi!
