Friday Night Date Night-Royal Blue Blouse + Statement Necklace

Happy Friday from Atlanta! I am headed to the Atlanta Apparel Market today to pick out clothes for summer and as much as I like to shop, the market can be overwhelming.

There are more than 1000 temporary exhibits and 550 permanent showrooms set up along with 8000 different product lines and categories. Whew!!

I’m going with the Glamour Farms ladies and they are WORKERS. They can out shop me any day of the week. Of course, I’m the one trying on all the clothes. They hide me behind racks (they always tell me lots of people are trying on clothes but it seems like it’s only me). 🙂

After a while everything starts to look alike. Ha! We do have a lot of fun and Wayne is with me on this trip so I can’t wait to see how he handles all the shopping. He’s a trooper.

It’s Friday so I can’t help but think about a date night. I’m keeping it simple with this royal blue blouse and a statement necklace.

I did a front tuck in this picture but I liked it better out so the rest of the pictures there is no front tuck.

This blouse would look great with white or black pants for a work wear look.

I like to add a heel because we usually just go out to dinner so I don’t do a lot of walking. These block heels are my favorite!

I added this cute statement necklace and a white camisole since the neckline is low.

What are your plans this weekend?

Beauty For the Heart~~Have you ever wanted to pay someone back when they have hurt you or hurt someone in your family?? Our flesh side tells us they deserve it and we will feel better if we can “get” them.

In 1 Samuel 24, David was running for his life and King Saul was trying to kill him. David and his men had the opportunity to end Saul’s life but David refused to do it. David knew vengeance was the Lord’s.

This is how Krista Williams describes it, “Just because opportunities to defeat an enemy come our way, that doesn’t mean we should take them. Instead of seizing an opportunity that seems like the perfect solution to our troubling problems or desperate situations, let’s do the right thing. Let’s practice godly restraint and seek the Lord. Let’s trust God to protect, deliver and provide for us in His time and His way.”

Today let’s make godly choices instead of choices we feel would be best.

Have a blessed day!

  1. Cute outfit for sure … your day at the market sounds like a blast… your hubby sounds as patient as mine… although we only shop together when we travel 😀… I’ve tried the shoes like your wearing but in the lower block heel . I find though that they gap a bit in the heel but have found them for 29.99 so tempted to get them for Sunday’s anyway ..so cute with dresses..

  2. Love the blouse. Also love the necklace! I ADORE statement necklaces and earrings. It’s a shopping habit that’s a little out of control for me!

  3. I hope you and Wayne enjoy your time together in Atlanta. The necklace is very pretty, but sold out.,😞 I would like to ask if you still have the Clark shoes with white trim. Are they still available? Would you consider a post of truly comfortable shoes?

  4. Cute blouse! I love it! I have been to market several times as my sister and I used to have a gift shop. However, only the one in Dallas. Have fun! I hope Wayne doesn’t whine or anything! LOL!

  5. Love that blue blouse on you. So pretty. I loved the pictures of Colt modeling on Courtney’s blog. Soooo cute. Thanks for modeling Target shoes that are comfortable. I see you have both the high and low heel of this style. I keep looking at the low one to order, but own similar pair with kitten heel, so think I should just go with those. BUT…..love the new block heel style. UGH!!! What to do. Ha Ha 🙂

  6. Hi Cyndi- love the outfit. I love a heel with jeans… I too don’t receive your emails. When I try to subscribe, it says I’m already signed up :-(. Thx for anything you can do. Have fun shopping!

  7. this has to be a real favorite, color and stylewise. thank you for always letting us know that it is in need of a camisole. it looks so nice it could be part of the blouse.
I saw Courtney’s blog and Colt has really grown up from when we were first introduced to him via his grandmother’s blog. Do you think he has a strong resemblance to your son ??

Have a great date night and hope you will get some rest too.

  8. Hi there! I am not sure why but I am not getting any of your daily emails like I had been. Could you please add me again? I miss the emails! 🙂

  9. Cyndi,
Love the outfit , the blue top looks great on you . Hope you have a great time shopping and are not to worn out . I saw Courtney’s blog and I think Colt Allen is a natural , so cute !!!!

  10. I love shirts like this, but I have found that unless the cami underneath is solid cotton, I get a TON of static cling. To me, cotton cami’s are pretty bulky. Any suggestions?

You look lovely, by the way!

  11. I’m not a fan of blue colors, but this is so pretty on you and I definitely can use more color in my closet for spring. Market sounds amazing, I would be like a kid in a candy store. Enjoy and wear comfortable shoes 😉

  12. You look beautiful as always. You will have a blast in Atlanta. I’ve always thought it would be so much fun to go to market. My husband is a good sport like yours…Have fun!
I love the block heels you have on, but I would like some with a lower heel for myself.
    Have a Blessed Day!

  13. You sure look better in those skinny jeans than the skinny model modeling them at Nordstrum……did I just say that! Shame on me!

Have a great, fun day shopping Cindi.

  14. Love that blue shade! So pretty & your necklace is gorgeous against the blue. Hope you had fun on your date night!

  15. I love the addition of how to make it “work wear”! So many times we see a great outfit with jeans and need a little advice for making it work appropriate. 🙂

  16. Man…that sounds like an exhausting day, Cyndi!! I’d have to schedule a foot massage after that!!
Love the outfit—it’s something that all 3 of us on the blog would be able to wear easily. Although I haven’t convinced my mom or stepmom to try the raw hems yet!!
