Styling With Color: Blush Pink

Good morning! Today I’m excited to be partnering with my sister, Traci, at Beneath My Heart. Traci has a DIY blog and she shares her love of farmhouse charm. She also shares about family life with her husband, four boys, and their sweet daughter who recently joined their family.

Traci is who I go to when I need help with decorating my house! She definitely has my Mom’s talent when it comes to decorating a home. She is also my best friend and I love her and her family to pieces!

When it comes to decorating your home or styling an outfit the trends in color are the same. This year blush pink has been showing up not only in clothes but also in home decor. Blush pink is a playful but also elegant color.

Blush pink can be worn with white, black, denim or you can keep it all neutral. In these first two pictures, blush pink is styled with white jeans.

These dresses are styled with neutral colors which is a more monochromatic look. Remember when styling a monochromatic outfit make sure your pieces have a visible difference of texture so your outfit doesn’t look too one dimensional.

Here I styled a blush pink blouse with a pair of jeans. My pink blouse can be found here and it comes in plus size.

Lastly, I styled a pink blazer with black pants.

Now, head over to my sister’s blog and see how you can add blush pink to your home!

  1. I am so obsessed with blush! I bought a pair of blush jeans LAST spring. I bought the Target top above, a sweater from LOFT (winter, 2016), a dress and another top. I think I may need an intervention! LOL

    Love your sister’s blog too!

  2. LOVE blush pink but it does kind of wash me out. I bought the blush short sleeve blouse you are modeling when you featured it in your blog first. From Target. Its just now going to be warm enough to wear it and I may be wearing it to church Sunday. Its so cute and I don’t like the cold shoulder look but this was perfect with just the slit on the arm. Years ago……over 20…… I did my bathroom off from our bedroom with this color and now have been stuck with it on the counter tops…..what was I thinking? Now its back in style and I guess I could embrace it. Ha Ha Love how you two teamed together. I’ve been new to Traci’s blog but have enjoyed it so much. Hearing about Sania and her b’day journey brought me to tears and I just had to write Traci back. Bless her and the family for all they’ve done to make Sania’s life a blessed one. Such a great family you have. 🙂

  3. I purchased a beautiful tank top in blush from Loft outlet about a month ago. I love it. I cannot believe I bought something that is trending. (I have no fashion sense.) It is such a warm color. I also received several compliments each time I wore it. As always, thanks for your guidance in the world of fashion for women.

  4. I was a pink lover when I was young, my whole bedroom was done in soft pink, canopy bed to light pink swiss dot curtains, I’m looking at this blush color as a more “grown-up” version of pink and really starting to like it, I wasn’t sure at first, but now I really love it 🙂

  5. Oh, how I love blush pink! I really like to wear it with olive green. I think is looks very edgy that way and not so girly, girly even though that’s ok too:)

  6. I have never been a pink person but since I did your spring challenge and have been following your blog, I am starting to really like this color! I even bought a blush purse the other day. (I blamed you when I told my husband! haha) I love Traci’s blog, too. She is just a sweetheart. Love seeing all she does with decorating and with family and especially sweet Sania. You two (along with Courtney) have a gift for all things! Thank you for highlighting each other today!

  7. Gorgeous girl! I got tickled when I read that you were fixing to board the plane! I say “fixing” too! You can take a girl out of the south but you can’t take the south out of a girl! Safe travels home! 😊

  8. Loving the blush pink and your sister is just as cute as you are. Looking forward to following her too.
Thank you for sharing and have a wonderfully blessed day!

  9. I think blush pink is so pretty! I have one blush pink blouse but I’ll be honest and say that I always feel “washed out” when I wear it, so adding a pop of a necklace like you did with yours may be the answer. Excited to see what Traci has – and you’re right, she’s got an eye for home décor. Love both of you ladies!
