Freedom To Worship

Happy Memorial Weekend! I’m so thankful this morning to be headed to worship. So thankful we have the freedom to worship because of the sacrifices made by men and women who fight and defend our country.

Freedom To Worship

I have been reading through the book of Psalm this week and I thought I would share some of the verses I have written down. Each one has spoke to me and I hope they speak to you as well.

  • Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. Psalm 119:105
  • Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go,
for to you I entrust my life. Psalm 143:8
  • May my prayer be set before you like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice. Psalm 141:2
  • Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24
  • Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, my soul. I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. Psalm 146:1-2

Have you read any verses this week that spoke to you? I would love to hear them!

We have been singing this song a lot at church lately. I love it!!

Have a blessed Sunday!

  1. This week was very tough. One of my best friends lost her son from suicide at age 21 yrs. old and I had to get my mom moved into assisted living after 45 yrs. in her same home. She has dementia. I needed to know God’s peace in these days and John 16:33 spoke to me “These things I have spoken to you, so that in ME you may have peace, in the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” Amen 🙂 God has been good in it all. Please pray for our friends as the memorial service is coming up June 4th. Thanks Cyndi for sharing today.

  2. I love the book of psalms in fact I have my great grandmothers old bible and it was her favourite book….well marked with all her favourite passages. A verse that has stuck with me over the last several weeks is Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. I lost my dad almost one month ago now very suddenly and unexpectedly, so I have needed to remind myself that Gods ways and plans can often be much different then ours. He has a purpose and plan for all I go through and I pray I learn what he’s trying to teach me. Thank you Cindy for all your verses of encouragement and wonderful fashion tips, and outfits. I look forward to them each day.

  3. Psalm 100…….Make a joyful noise….. one of my favorites (maybe because I can’t sing but I can make a joyful noise)😊Love this post and also Beauty for the Heart each day. Thank you for your messages of inspiration and for sharing your faith.

  4. Thank you for sharing that beautiful song. I just heard it on the radio this morning getting ready for church. The words “You restore every heart that is broken” just stood out to me. I know this is speaking about the spiritual sense but today it spoke to me in a different way. My Dad had a massive heart attack two weeks ago. My Mom had bypass surgery 5 months ago. Today they both were able to go to church. We sing this a lot at church too. It has took a brand new meaning to me. So grateful to the One who mends broken hearts spiritually and physically.

  5. Beautiful song – we sing that one as well. Thank you for your sweet spirit Cyndi and for providing an uplift to my day.

  6. Each day, Cyndi, you bring me such loving messages of Faith and Praise. I am most thankful for the blessings that you bring! I look to your message each day, knowing that “Beauty for the Heart” will speak to me in a way I need in my life! Thank you for the gifts you share with us all, & I praise God for sending the gift of You! I enjoy the fashion part as well, but know it is your message in every post that encompasses Faith and Sharing. Blessings as we all worship the brave who have sacrificed…Blessings!

  7. Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22

Why are you cast down, O my soul?
And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God. Psalm 43:5

Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, who seek Him with the whole heart. Psalm 119:2
I can go on and on- love your blog be Blessed!
