Well, it’s finally here, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! It’s kind of like Christmas in July. For those of us who love a preview of what’s coming this fall (I’m always giddy to see what’s trending), this is a fun sale.
I have to admit, I was dreading trying on clothes all day, but after I got there and saw all the cute stuff, I started to enjoy it. I did purchase several things, and most of them were staple pieces that I can wear all fall and winter.
So let’s get started! (I did not purchase everything I’m showing you in these photos, the budget won’t allow it.)
First up is this J Crew Coat and I did purchase this. I wanted a colored coat last winter, and I never purchased one. This is a classic style, and I think I will get a ton of wear out of it.

A definite trend this fall is the balloon sleeve. They are on coats, cardigans, sweater, and tops.

I would love to know if you feel the sleeves are “snug” on the Barefoot Dreams cardigan. The reason I ask is because several of the reviews mentioned this. I would love to have one but I really dislike tight fitting sleeves. Would love your honest opinion! Thank you!

Carla my dress is several years old but it’s a Jude Connally. They are pricey BUT they last forever and they will NOT wrinkle. It’s a great dress to take when traveling. My pattern is no longer available but this is the style I’m wearing http://bit.ly/2NN5HiL

Wow… What a day you must have had no wonder you’re tired. We don’t have a Nordstrom where I am in Canada, but can shop on-line and to my surprise I could do the early access if I had a card so maybe for next year lol… But I certainly have a few things on my radar for the open to public on July 20th.. Why did you decide on the size small in the striped halogen top? Its super cute and I’m interested in purchasing but I’m 5’3 and I see you’ve rolled it under a bit in the front(did you find it long?), so maybe the small petite might be better for me? You’ve given me lots to think about with these great finds, nice to see some of the styles from last year return as well. Thanks for your hard work on this Cyndi…..
