Could You Pray Today?

Many of you know we have had a foreign exchange student over the past nine months.

Her name is Kitty Lee and she has been such a blessing to our family.

We have fallen in love with her and it’s going to be hard to see her leave.

This past weekend we celebrated as she was baptized on Easter Sunday.

I can’t tell you how excited we were that she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior.

Today, I would like to ask you to pray for her.

Last night Kitty received a phone call from her Mom.

Kitty’s grandfather passed away.

She is devastated and is so sad that she cannot be there with her family.

Can you imagine being so far from home at seventeen years old,

and then lose someone you love?

My heart is broken for her!

Kitty will leave to go back to France on May 31st.

Our time with her is short and she is already struggling with leaving all the friends and family

she has grown to love while living here.

So much for such a young girl to experience in nine months.

The next few weeks will fly by and my prayer is that she will continue

to grow in her relationship with the Lord after she leaves us.

She is hoping to find a church she can get involved with in France.

I’m so excited to have been a part of this young girl’s life.

Please pray for Kitty today…….

  1. This is such wonderful news ! I wasn’t on here very much last week and I had missed this. So glad I saw it. I know you are thinking this is the main reason she came to states. How wonderful! So sorry about her grandfather, but now she will be able to experience the comfort of the Holy Spirit that she wouldn’t have before. I will b praying for her. I love the pictures of her baptism. 2. I am so thrilled Kitty will be in heaven with us, what a blessing! I am also so sad for her being away when her grandfather died. Grandparents are special and I’m sure she is missing him. I am praying for peace and comfort for Miss Kitty!

  3. I am so sorry to hear about Kitty’s grandfather. I am definately praying that God will comfort her and the entire family. How beautiful that she was baptized on Easter Sunday!

  4. Praying….praying…praying….

My heart truly breaks for her. Yet, I’m SO thankful she’s with you….for you truly have the gift of encouragment. 🙂

  5. Oh, Cyndi! I’m so sorry to hear of Kitty’s grandfather’s death. How hard for her to be away at a time like this. I’m so glad she is with you. . . and I’m so glad to know she is with Jesus!! What a blessing for her to have come to know Christ personally. You and Wayne have been awesome examples of the with-God life! Jesus will always be with her no matter where she is. I pray that she know his abiding presence in these difficult days. And I pray that you enjoy your last few weeks of having her right in the house with you. I’m just thinking how glad I am that she has your dad in her life–her Papa in the U.S. loves her dearly, I know!

  6. Cyndi,
I will be praying for Kitty and for all of you. So much going on right now so I know it’s really hard for you. Love you so much!
