It’s Hot Chocolate Time!

Happy Friday!

Here in the Bluegrass State we’re suppose to have a pretty chilly weekend.

That got me thinking about some of this……..Hot Chocolate!

It also made me think of my Mom.

Several years ago she gave me her recipe for

a low calorie hot chocolate.

Mom often used weight watchers when she wanted to

lose a few pounds and she said this hot chocolate

was about 2 points.

Mom loved it and I’d just laugh at her, but now

that she’s gone I love to make it and think of her.

I miss sharing recipes with Mom.

Truthfully, I miss sharing everything

with Mom.

I would especially love to share this

little guy with her…………He is delicious!!

Okay back to the hot chocolate, if it’s getting cold

where you are try this recipe.

Hot Chocolate

1 tablespoon of hershey’s cocoa

2 packets of Splenda (I use Truvia)

1 cup on skim milk

Heat milk and cocoa in the microwave and

then add Splenda.

Enjoy!

Food for Thought:

When the trees their summer splendor

Change to raiment red and gold,

When the summer moon turns mellow,

And the nights are getting cold;

When the squirrels hide their acorns,

And the woodchucks disappear;

Then we know that is is autumn,

Loveliest season of the year.

  1. It is beginning to be that time of the year for hot chocolate! So sorry about your Mom. It’s so sad when we have to give them up, but wonderful to know that they are in Heaven. Mine has been gone since 93 and I still miss her so much.

Your grandson is such a cutie!!

  2. Thanks for the hot chocolate recipe. It sounds delic.

We are lovin’ fall around these parts. Today, a high of 60….and our colors are slowly changing. Oh how I love this time of year.

Enjoy smoochin’ that sweet grandbabies face.

  3. Hi Cyndi!
    Sweet Autumn Blessings to you.

Will try this delicious recipe. Hubby is diabetic and he will delight in a sugar-free hot chocolate drink!
    So will I.

    Your Grandson is a sweetie.
It will be a delight to watch his every movement. As they grow…everything is such fun.

    Smiles,
    d

  4. Mmm… we’re having a chilly weekend up here in Ontario this weekend too… thanks for the inspiration to myself a hot chocolate!

And… I know what you mean about missing your Mom. In a few weeks it will by 8 years since my Mom went home to Jesus!

Thinking of you as you miss your Mom!
