My One Word for 2012

Good Morning and Happy New Year!

2011 is over and we have a new year ahead. I love a fresh start, don’t you?

Today, I wanted to share with you my one word for 2012.

It’s Focus!

I know, it’s not profound but I need this. I love doing lots of things but I sometimes get myself involved in too much. Hello~~can anyone relate with me?

The main area I always want to focus on is my relationship with Jesus. I want to make sure that He’s my priority. In my quiet time this morning I read Psalm 105:4, Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. Perfect! I need to seek Him for everything.

I have many other things I want to focus on this year; my family, friends, my blog and a new adventure I’ve started as a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant.

So what about  you, do you have one word for 2012? I’d love to hear what your one word is!

  1. Love your choice. That is something I struggle with… focusing on the right things and the things that really matter. I think our word this year is going to be ‘grace’. We are going to ‘focus’ 😉 on accepting God’s grace for ourselves and giving that same grace out to others.

  2. Last year our theme for the year for the church was, “we would see Jesus!”. I loved it. No better subject to focus on! Bless you!

  3. Cyndi

So many good words – FOCUS, JOY, LOVE, PEACE that have been mentioned. I believe I will use your word FOCUS so that I can FOCUS on my relationship with Jesus too. In that will come JOY, LOVE and most definitely PEACE that passes all understanding. Thanks for the inspiration to start my new year off to a good start.

  4. Cyndi, that’s the same word God laid on my heart – Focus. I need to focus on those things God has called me to do, and then do them with purpose and intent. I’m excited about what this new year holds in store.

    Many blessings!

  5. My word is Peace. I really need some. I want to focus on the peace that God brings and also peace in my relationships and daily life.

  6. What a great word my friend!!! Focus……ahhh….a short…powerful word that I’m sure most of us can relate to.

Praying your 2012 is amazing….blessed…and focused.

Congrat’s on being a Mary Kay Consultant.

    🙂

  7. I love your word Cyndi! There are so many distractions in our lives that having focus is so important.

My one word 2012 is “pursue” – pursuing Him wholeheartedly, pursuing others intentinoally and pursuing health purposefully.

    Blessings.

  8. Hi Cyndi, love your blog! I just read your post last year about organizing your quiet time. I have the same Jesus Calling book and try to read it daily. This year I am going to read the bible through, and pray that He will speak to me through his word. Just wanted to let you know, your blog is an inspiration to me. I too am a Christian, and love style and beauty as well as quilts, photography, and other interests. Keep up the good work.

  9. Great word! I have to do the same thing. It sounds as though we’re both kind of in the same place. I’m just starting as an AVON representative! Good luck to both of us!!!

  10. Focus is a great word, Cyndi! Last year my word was Enjoy. I really needed a reminder to quit griping and enjoy my life and family.

Not sure of my word yet for this year. I’ve been praying and know that the Lord will lead me to it 🙂
