What I Wore Wednesday~Adding Color

Happy Hump Day!

Are you feeling the winter blues yet? This time of the year is so dreary and I’m already longing for warm sunny days (I know its only January!).

The weather has been crazy here in Kentucky! One day its kind of warm and then the next day its freezing. It’s hard to know what to wear!

Last week I realized my wardrobe was way too drab and so this week I’ve been trying to add some color. It. has. not. been. easy!

I have been digging through my closet and I found this purple shirt and scarf. Purple is a popular color this winter and I forgot I had this!

I also found this cardigan in my closet and I added an infinity scarf around my neck.

Last week I told you about the Chambray shirt and so I had to wear my shirt I bought at Old Navy. It was on sale for $19.50. Yeah!

Well, it’s been a semi successful week of adding color. I’m going to head back into my closet and see if I can find some more color. If you don’t here from me tomorrow, you might want to call 911! Ha!

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving so many sweet and encouraging comments. You guys are precious!!

What’s your favorite winter color?

Beauty For the Heart~~Some days I need to spend extra time with the Lord admitting some of my sins. Today has been that kind of morning. I’m so thankful for his grace and his forgiveness! I desperately need it!

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us. 1 John 1:9-10

  1. I tend to wear burgundy, blues and browns, and black too, never yellow or orange, some greens I don’t wear. And on some days I just have to wear red.

  2. Cyndi, you look great in your splashes of color! I would love for you to consider linking this up to my “Drab to Fab” party ever Friday at my blog Sugar and Spice. (You even used the word “drab” in this post!). The theme of the party is taking what’s basic and ordinary and making it look great by accessorizing, etc. You embodied that with this post! Here’s a link to check it out:

    Hope to see you Friday!

  3. I love ‘winter white’, beige and chocolate brown in addition to my regular blacks and greys. I’m always lovin’ me some neutrals at any time of the year! :O)

  4. Hmm…my favorite winter is probably black! I wear a ton of it. It can be too hot in the summer down south so I like to wear it a lot this time of year!

Loving the the scarfs! Hey – is that mexican place still downtown? We loved eating there! 🙂

  5. LOVE the colors in the cardigan you “found” 🙂 I am guilty of wearing lots of black and this year I am loving gray, so I am trying to add some color. I made the t-shirt scarf that was going around on pinterest in mustard yellow, and I love it. I wore it out on Monday and got several compliments. Now I want one in hot pink 🙂

  6. My favorite winter color, favorite anytime color, is black. I do wear a lot of black and gray in the winter, but I’m trying to add more color too. Today it’s green and brown. 🙂
