Memorial Day~Honoring Their Sacrifice

Memorial Day is observed on the last Monday of May.

Why do we celebrate Memorial Day?

It was formally known as Decoration Day and commemorates all men and women,

who have died in military service for the United States.

(Memorial Day is not to be confused with Veterans Day.

On Veterans Day we honor the living veterans and thank them for their service.)

In the midst of barbecues, picnics and spending time with our families,

let’s make sure we remember those that sacrificed their lives for our freedom.

Thank you for your service to our country!

“No one has greater love [no one has shown stronger affection] than to lay down

(give up) his own life for his friends.”  John 15:13 (AMP)
