Easy Peasy Summer Dessert

Okay, I have to confess, I don’t spend a lot of time in the kitchen.

Don’t get me wrong, I love to eat, I just don’t love to cook. There in lies the problem.

When I grow up, I want to be The Pioneer Woman (well, I’m not sure I want

to live on a ranch) but I don’t think it’s going to happen.

My husband is keeping his fingers crossed………poor guy!

If there’s one thing I do like to make, it’s dessert!

I don’t fix a dessert everyday but sometimes I just crave something sweet.

Most of the time I make chocolate brownies, chocolate chip cookies or some type

of chocolate cake. You can see a theme there, right? Yep, I love chocolate!

But with the summer weather and some delicious summer fruit, this dessert is perfect,

even without chocolate.

Here’s all you need:

Angel food cake or pound cake: (I of course buy mine already made, but I’m sure

some of you out there will make your own from scratch!)

Fresh fruit: I used strawberries and blueberries but you could add blackberries,

kiwi, raspberries, etc.

Topping: Greek yogurt and brown sugar, mixed until smooth.

I use about 1 cup yogurt to 1/2 cup brown sugar. That makes enough about 4 desserts.

You can modify yours. If you like it sweeter add more brown sugar, or less sweet,

add less brown sugar.

Arrange your cake in the bowl, then fruit and last add your topping.

It’s easy peasy and super delicious!!

Um, I ate one for breakfast this morning! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by, you all are a blessing!!
