What My Daddy Means To Me

I could write a book on what my Daddy means to me.

He is loving and kind. He cares so much for his children, grandchildren and great grandchild.

He gives and he gives and if I need him, he’s at my house before I can blink an eye!

He’s a godly example of what a Father should be and I thank God for him everyday.

Mom’s death changed our whole family including my Daddy. We’ve always loved

spending time together but now we treasure those times more than ever.

I’ve always been a Daddy’s girl. I think it use to upset my Mom just a little.

As I was reading things my Mom had written about my childhood, I came

across something I had said when I was around 4 years old.

I must have been talking about how much I loved Daddy and Mom said,

“Cyndi, you think you’re Daddy hung the moon!” My response, “He did, and God helped him!”

At 45 years old, I still think my Daddy hung the moon!

P.S. I know some of you reading this have lost your father and I know the pain of losing a parent.

I want you to know, I’m praying for you today. May you feel God’s love in a very special way.

Have a blessed day friends!

  1. What a lovely tribute to your dad. I feel the same way about mine! He’s 84 and has recently been diagnosed with Parkinsons. It has slowed him down “a little”, but that’s all. It’s hard for me because he has never been sick. It’s hard for him because he’s realizing he can’t do all the things he use to do. He is such a Godly man and has set the example of integrity, love and faithfulness. In a month, he and mom will celebrate their 63rd wedding anniversary. Thank you for letting me expound on my dad. I love your blog and your witness for Christ.

  2. awww… I loved this post 🙂 You’re blessed! I am blessed too, with a wonderful Dad and thank God daily for him! Thx for sharing!! Have a wonderful week Cyndi!
