My Birthday Makeover by MAC

Hey friends! It’s been a busy weekend around here. It may take me all week to catch up! Of course, on Saturday I celebrated my birthday. Fun! Fun! (My Dad and stepmom had my sister’s boys so I could celebrate my birthday).

My daughter picked me up around 9:30 and we headed out for a day of shopping, pedicures and a makeover. Um, could it get any better! We had coffee with our pedicure and I chose red for my toes. Courtney was trying to decide on several shades of pink.

After our pedicures, we headed to the mall and I made an appointment with MAC to have my makeup done. I love to do this on my birthday! It’s a good time of year to try something new and I’ve been wanting to get some MAC makeup.

Here’s what I ended up buying. I wish I could have bought everything I tried on, but it was more than what I wanted to pay.

Exclusive By MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF15 – NW50 30ml/1oz

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Medium Dark Face Powde for Women r, 0.35 Ounce

Makeup/Skin Product By MAC Blush Powder – Coppertone 6g/0.2oz

MAC Lipstick Lustre Capricious

MAC DEELIGHT Cremesheen Glass Lipgloss

I snapped this picture with my iphone in the bathroom at Macy’s after my makeover. I think the ladies in the bathroom, thought I was a little crazy. Obviously, they don’t blog! 🙂

After our fun “girls” day we headed home and met Wayne, Chris and Colt Allen at our local Mexican restaurant. I loooove Mexican food and usually have to have it at least once a week. Perfect way to end my birthday!

Have you all ever tried MAC makeup? What’s your favorite?

Beauty For the Heart~~I put this on my facebook page on Saturday.

I thought it was a great quote and I put Philippians 3:10 as my verse, I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.

My prayer is that as I grow another year older, that I will grow to know Him better. That will make for a great year!

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!

  1. I know MAC is really popular so I was going to try some. However, in the last month I have had two different facialists tell me it’s really bad for your skin and it is “theater” make-up. Have you used it before and did you have any problems?
Happy Belated Birthday. Sounds like a great day!

  2. Happy belated birthday to you Cyndi! What a fun dy. I have not tried Mac products but I should definitely go out and try some new stuff. Shake it up a bit! lol

  3. What a fun day you must have had with Courtney! Y’all are such girly-girls, and both so beautiful. 🙂

I should try a makeover sometime. I’ve only had make-up applied by someone else twice in my life–once by a Mary Kay consultant (who was really good!) and once by a make-up artist who donated his services and did the make-up for five of us who were participating in a charity fashion show. Both times I felt a little weird–but I’m sure it would benefit me to get the advice of an expert! I’m trying to decide if I want to move forward with doing some hair color–I seem to have more grey hairs every day. The other day Jack told me my hair looked like it was highlighted. Maybe that was a compliment, or maybe it was a hint!

I hope this year is absolutely wonderful for you! Love you!!

  4. Happy Belated Birthday Cyndi! Wow, what a great day you had! To be able to enjoy your “beauty/shopping” outing with your daughter, I know, must have been very special. You look beautiful with your new MAC makeover, I especially love that shade of lipstick on you! You are too funny taking your picture in the midst of it all, but who cares, it was your birthday right? I’m so happy you had such a Happy Birthday! Be Blessed!

  5. Happy Belated Birthday Cyndi! Sounds like you had a Fabulous day! Thanks for sharing and love me some Mexican food, too! Saw you in your sister’s video….loved it! You are a special sister to take care of her 4 precious boys!

  6. Happy belated birthday! You are beautiful, with or without make up. And I had to laugh at your photo comment. That happens to me all the time! I actually turned to a woman one time and said, “oh, it’s for my blog” and she’s like, “what’s a blog”?

  7. A very happy birthday to you Cindy! May the Lord continue to bless you in your life and your walk. Great verse, and thanks for sharing your day with us. 🙂 Cindy <
