Need a Personal Shopper?

Have you ever wished you had a personal shopper? Do you hate the idea of going to store after store trying to find something to wear?

Well, I might have the perfect thing for you! It’s called Stitch Fix.

Stitch Fix

What is Stitch Fix

Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. A group of stylists put together 5 stylish pieces of clothing (sometimes jewelry and/or accessories items are included) and ship them directly to you!  It’s a great way to add to your current wardrobe and get a hold of pieces that you might otherwise not have access to. No two Fixes are alike. Each one is hand–picked just for you.

How does it work?

1. Sign Up (There may be a brief waiting period based how well our current inventory matches you. Don’t worry, wait times are just a few days to a few weeks.)

2. Complete Your Style Profile~~After you get your welcome email,  you can start immediately on your Style Profile. We need to know your size, shape, style, price preferences, and lifestyle to get your Fix right. It’ll take about 10 minutes.

They will ask you questions like, “What do you think of the style below?”

2. Schedule a Stitch Fix~~Pick a date, and we’ll send you a box of 5 clothing and accessory items we’ve hand-picked just for you. Schedule monthly, or as often as you like—it’s your call. You pay a $20 styling fee up front, which serves as credit toward anything in your Stitch Fix shipment.

3. Try it all on~Try on everything they send you—you never know what you’ll like until you see it on. Pair it with items already in your closet. Each item includes style cards with ideas and inspiration on how to wear it.

4. Decide~Take 3 days to decide what you’ll keep. Pay for just what you want to keep, return the rest in our pre-paid mailing bag at any USPS mailbox. Keep all 5 items and you save 25% off the entire shipment.

You can set up your Stitch Fix monthly or schedule them whenever you need them. You can cancel at anytime!

I’ll be receiving my Stitch Fix in two weeks, and I’ll be sharing it with you!

What do you think? Would you like to have a personal shopper?

  1. I checked the FAQ and it’s $20 a month which is pricey and if you don’t like the item(s) you have to return within 3 days which can be difficult for people who work. It would be nice if they could give at least 5 days. I don’t know… I am tempted though.

  2. Loved this idea!
Unfortunately Stitch Fix does not provide services for me because my size is 14. A size 14 happens to be the size of the average American woman. Wow! they’re missing out on a big market!

  3. We have a thrift store that has a personal stylist that does that for you, all you do is make an appointment of 75 min she does all the work has a ton of clothes ready for you to try on and then you buy them if you want or not and its free.. And the clothes are much cheaper and you get designer clothes as well.. It is called Arc Thrift Store.. It is awesome.. I did it right before the winter and got my whole winter clothing boots and all for such a wonderful deal… Now did go to Gordmans and get extra boots but man the designer clothes I got there was awesome…

  4. I am in definite need of a personal shopper! I’ve been trying to get you to do it for me for several months now. 🙂 This sounds like a potentially great deal, that may eventually set me on my own way to learn how to shop for me. At 5’2″ and 107 lbs. with my clothes on, I have a terrible time finding clothes and accessories that don’t drag me down. I can’t wear petites because they are too short in the rise or too tight across the shoulders. I cringe at the idea of shopping! If I could get some help, I would welcome it, I’m going to check this out. Thanks for the great share!

  5. Oh boy that sounds great! I can never find my department; I always seen to wander into the petite’s (at 5’9″ I definitely don’t belong there, but little clothes are always cuter) or I’ll look up and all the women are my Mom’s age (I don’t want to belong there yet). I can’t wait to see what you get.

  6. Wow, I was just thinking about looking for a service like this. Several years ago when I worked in an office I used a personal shopper at my favorite department store. She would often pick out items I might not pick out for myself and I was pleasantly surprised by how they would look on me. My current work place is casual to business casual and I have been in a bit of a fashion rut. I may just decide to give this service a try.

  7. I got my first Stitch Fix box before Christmas. I kept 3 of the items – a pair of earrings, a blouse and a dress for my 21 year old daughter (the dress didn’t fit me, but looked great on her). There was also another dress that I loved, but sent back, because I don’t wear dresses often enough to justify keeping it. The blouse I kept is something I never would have chosen while out shopping, but I really like it. I’m looking forward to hearing about your experience.
