God I Need You

Well, this has been a difficult week. Tragedy in Boston and Texas has been all over the news and at times it has been hard to watch.

We live in a fallen world. Evil prevails many times because of our fallen world. I was recently given a bracelet with GINY on it. Those four letters stand for God I Need You.

God I Need You

When life doesn’t make sense, when loved ones die, when evil men use bombs to blow people up, when children are killed while at school, when we suffer with disease, I’m reminded, God I Need You!

This is an older song, but I still love it. In the midst of all the tragedies I still know that my redeemer lives!

Have a blessed Sunday!

  2. Thanks for sharing the song. One of my favorites! No matter what is happening around us we have got to remember “That Our Redeemer Lives”.

  3. This has been a very tough week for everyone.
I did a lot of growing up in West, Texas.
My Mom grew up there with her 4 siblings.
I spent a whole lot of time in that sweet tiny Czech town.
It is a town where everyone knows everyone.
It was safe too for my cousins and me, when we were little, to walk to town, go to the little picture show or just sit outside late at night and look at the starry sky.

My heart breaks for all the families and friends that are hurting for the loss of a loved one, friend or their homes. But I know God was there with them all…because of the protection He provided for them all.
Many were at church when the explosion happened. The track team would have been practicing on the track right across the railroad track….but they (God) had decided to stop for a snack as they were returning from a track meet. Their lives were spared because of that.
My “Uncle” (a very dear man to me) was in the nursing home that was torn up from the explosion. He was trapped when the roof caved in on him in his room. A young teenager whose Mom had lived next door to Uncle Stanley rushed up there looking for him and pulled him out of the rubble and took him to safety. Then he ran back to help save more.
So I know God was there in the midst of this tragedy. Just as He is in everyone’s tragedy.

Please continue to pray for the people of West, Texas as they struggle to put their lives, town and homes back together.

    Blessings,
    Betsy ♥

  4. It has been a difficult time for our family as well. Our 33 year old son-in-law has been recently diagnosed with Lymphoma. Please pray for him, our daughter and their two beautiful girls (ages 3 and 6). This is one of my very favorite songs. Thank you so much for sharing it!

  5. Thanks for sharing a song I love so very much – my brother took his own life 2 years ago and I listened to that song endlessly to remind me of our faithful Redeemer! He is on the throne and I rejoice that we know the end of the story – and He wins! Blessings!

  6. Amen Cyndi! Love the song too 🙂 thx for sharing. Praying your week is blessed with lots of encouragement and strength!
