Beauty On The Inside

31 Days of Fall Fashion & Beauty Tips

It’s day 6 of our Fall Fashion & Beauty Tips but today is a little different. I love to talk about fashion & beauty but I believe true beauty begins on the inside.

We can look fabulous on the outside but if our heart if full of anger, bitterness, hatred, resentment, or immorality (and the list goes on), our beauty is only skin deep. And I don’t think that’s very attractive. I want my beauty to come from the inside!

So where do we begin, well if you’ve been around here for very long, you know that I believe it begins with a relationship with Jesus. Once you have that, He begins to transform our inside to look more like Him.

I love this verse in Colossians 3:12-14 from The Message.

Beauty On The Inside

Today, let’s spend some time working on our inner beauty. I promise, when we do, we will radiate a beauty that clothes and makeup can’t hold a candle to.

This song by Casting Crown shares the gospel so I thought it was a perfect song to share!

Have a blessed day!

  1. I soo agree! My mom has never worn a speck of make up in her life, and I think she is one of the most beautiful women I have ever laid eyes on…. Because of Jesus shining forth from her life. When I see your smile, too Cyndi,I believe it’s not just your natural beauty but I see Christ in you! That is the prayer of my heart….that Christ would shine forth fr my own life!

  2. You know, I read my Serendipity Bible, everyday, it is very special to me; but some times, when I really have the need to “feel” Scripture, I love my Message Bible! There is nothing else like it. “And regardless of what else you put on, wear love.” Colossians 3:12-14. That just says it all. If we don’t have our love on everyday, we might as well go undressed, because nothing else will be comfortable and no one would look twice at us. Thank you for pointing me to my Message Bible today. I’m thinking about how I look in a whole different way.
    Be Blessed Cyndi…

  3. I have posted this on FB with the comment that this is a message for both sexes and all ages. THANK YOU. Again you have delivered just so something that my heart needed. Thank you for heeding the Holy Spirit’s direction. I am sure that I am not the only one of your readers that rejoiced with those scriptures.

  4. This is the main reason I am here every day…your faith shines through you. It’s an added bonus that you share fashion as well. 😉 I’m so thrilled to have your blog to come to for not only fashion advice, but daily encouragement as well. My prayer is God will bless you even more than you can imagine… I hope you do this for a long while…I am very blessed through what you do. Thanks again & again Cyndi!

  5. Jessalyn thank you for sharing that! That says it all right there! One day when I picked up my now 23 year old son from kindergarten, he pointed to a reading teacher who was old enough to be his grandmother and said “Mommy, she’s the most pretty lady I ever saw!” Of course she was a beautiful inside out gentle Christian woman. I later told Mrs. Love what Jonathan said and of course it made her whole school year!

  6. Little children see with purer eyes and heart than the rest of us! 🙂 I enjoyed your comment. I have been teaching Sunday School since I was 18. I’m 61, and to the children that might as well be 100, but I hope they see beauty like you did! 🙂

  7. This is precious! Thank you so much. So true. My mom tells the story on me that when I was three my Sunday school teacher came into the auditorium and I was already in mama’s lap. She says that when I saw her I said…. “She’s so pretty!”. Well, she must have been 100. ha! But, mama said as a young mother she learned so much from that. I have too!
