Building Your Fall Wardrobe {Chambray Shirt}

31 Days of Fall Fashion & Beauty Tips

It’s Day 18 of 31 Days of Fall Fashion & Beauty Tips! I have to say posting everyday for 18 days has not been too bad. Of course, let’s see how I feel at day 31. I might collapse!

Building Your Fall Wardrobe {Chambray Shirt}

Today we’re building your fall wardrobe by adding the chambray shirt. I love my chambray shirt! It’s so versatile, you can wear it with dress pants or a skirt or you can wear it with jeans on a day when you’re running errands.

Here are some pictures from Pinterest with chambray shirts………..

I pulled out my chambray shirt yesterday because it was cool and rainy. I had a meeting at church and then I had to pick up Colt and watch him for a few hours.

Colt kept walking in front of the camera and I kept getting photo bombed!

Now for some chambray shirts at some of my favorite stores (click on the picture to go to their website).

The chambray shirt is such a great piece to add to your fall wardrobe. It’s comfortable and versatile!

Do you have a chambray shirt?

  1. I love your blog. You are so cute!! My chambray shirt is my favorite thing to wear. Thanks for giving me ideas on new ways to wear it.

  2. I love reading your blogs and usually I am a day late on each days post, mainly cause I find all your readers posts very interesting. 🙂 I do agree with TL Will…I have a pair of poop scooping rubber boots and that is exactly what I use them for…at our chicken coop, but NOT in a chambray shirt and nice jeans as yours!! LOL You look quite chic in yours Cyndi!
    I have a chambray shirt (what I call my “jean shirt”) and have always had one tucked in my closet for comfort days when I throw it on with a tee underneath. Back in the 80’s they were big with the leggings and since the leggings are back in style, why not the chambray too! There is one style I like: layer it with white tee underneath and winter white leather jacket over it, with scarf of a green color and dark blue jeans. 1Chronicles16:10 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord. Thank you for this reminder, Cyndi!!

  3. Yay for chambray! I have two, my first was a thrift store purchase of a (I think) JCPenney brand in a medium blue and I loved it so much and was wearing it so much, I thought I needed another in a different shade. So I got a lighter blue one from Old Navy, and I love it too! Now I think I need, yes need, a darker one! I’m going to keep my eyes peeled at the thrift shops, I’m sure one will come up sooner or later

  4. I love pretty much like everything you post but those polka dot boots have gotta go!
    They remind me of my cow poop scooping days! LOL

  5. I, like Lynn and Amy, do not have a chambray shirt as I didn’t realize they were “back in”. I also will be looking for this on my next shopping trip. You always look so put-together ! I have been enjoying your daily 31 days of Fall Fashion and getting inspiration from them to step out of my comfort box and try some different outfits.

  6. I don’t have a chambray shirt-is this something that is “back in style?” Like Lynn, I haven’t had one since the early 90’s. I have seen them in stores & all over Pinterest, so it must be back! It’s now on my wish list/buy soon list! LOL THANKS Cyndi!

  7. I don’t have a chambray shirt, haven’t owned one since the 80’s or maybe 90’s. I wouldn’t have thought it was a basic for our wardrobe. I don’t see many people wearing them here where I live. I’ll have to check it out and maybe purchase one.

  8. I love my Chambray shirt. Now, with all the colored jeans, I love to wear it even more. My favorite outfit is colored jeans, chambray shirt, colored cardigan or blazer. Comfy, too.

  9. Keep it up Cyndi! We, your readers, are loving every minute of the 31 days:) I have a great chambray shirt from The Loft. I also have a wonderful chambray shirt that is styled more like an anorak jacket by Pendelton. I love that one with leggings and boots! I am absolutely gone over the Michael Stars one you have shown here! I will resist the temptation to buy it as I do have two chambray shirts, but boy I thought about it this morning:) Thanks Cyndi always for your wonderful Beauty for the heart!! Your thoughts often inspire my Bible time and usually give an idea for the a song to sing through out the day that help to keep my mind focused on Jesus! Blessings Krista
