Welcome to May! It’s time to start thinking warm weather. Yes! Here are some May Style Tips to get you ready.

May Style tips

1. Hair- Warmer weather means we’re outside a lot more which can definitely affect our hair. Make sure you regularly condition it to keep it looking shiny and healthy. Check out my 5 Tips To Healthy Summer Hair here.

2. Sunscreen- This is a good time to stock up on some sunscreen and throw away any old sunscreen. When it comes to sunscreen, expiration dates really do matter. If your sunscreen is from last summer it’s probably time to throw it away.

3. Get out those bright colors- The winter months are behind us so look through your closet and find those bright colors and start wearing them! Warm weather and bright colors go hand in hand.

  1. Some really great tips Cyndi. Unfortunately, I’m not a summertime girl. I love April and May, but after that…no. I am so allergic to the hot sun and very warm temperatures. I have a medication I need to take that causes a severe rash and dizziness to occur with too much heat or too much sun. So, I have to be kind of a recluse in the summer. I can usually mange some evenings and early mornings…so I am grateful for those!

  2. Great tips, but I just use last year’s sunscreen as moisturizer for parts not exposed to the sun. They’re usually very rich and it just seems wasteful to throw them out, although I know if kept over certain temps the spf ingredients don’t work. i still need to get out some spring/summer clothes and do a little personal summer grooming!

  3. Thanks for the reminder of throwing away last seasons sunscreen , I am not always good about that.
I think everyone should try on a maxi skirt or dress. I am shocked at how well they look on almost all body types, even shorter women!

  4. Great tips.. I just bought a Neutrogena body oil to put on as I get out of the shower for all over quick moisturinzing… I’d also add have fun painting your toe nails fabulous colors for the season…
