What I Wore-Summer Fashion

Happy Wednesday! We’ve had some warm weather this week so I’ve been enjoying some summer fashion.

Monday, I shared my Mother’s Day dress with you. I got this dress from Stitch Fix but the brand (some of you asked) is Leota. You can find my Mother’s day fashion here.

The nautical style is still going strong this year and I’m so glad. I think a striped top with white pants just says summer.

I added my coral tote from Stella & Dot to add a pop of color.

We headed out to watch a baseball game and celebrate my nephew’s birthday and I wore this polka dot tank. I know you all have seen it before but it’s one of my favorite tops.

It looks like the weather may turn a little cooler by the end of the week but that’s normal for May. Have you been enjoying warm weather?

Beauty For the Heart~~I’ve been getting ready for my speaking engagement for Saturday and I’ll be sharing about true beauty, beauty that comes from the inside.

I’m using 1 Peter 3:3-4 (NIRV) which says, Braiding your hair doesn’t make you beautiful. Wearing gold jewelry or fine clothes doesn’t make you beautiful. Instead, your beauty comes from inside you. It is the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit. Beauty like that doesn’t fade away. God places great value on it.

True beauty is real and internal. It’s always present. This is the kind of beauty we’re striving for!

Have a blessed day!

  1. Hi Charissa,
I bought that belt at The Limited a year ago and it was on clearance.
I don’t think it can be purchased any more. Sorry!!
    Blessings,
    Cyndi

  2. Hi Debbie,
I do speak at churches, women’s groups etc. I speak on different things and I’m flexible. This past weekend it was on 1 Peter 3:3-4 on What does a Beautiful Woman look like?
    Hope that helps,
    Cyndi

  3. Hi Cyndi. You have been inspiring me for a while now that I thought I should comment. Love your outfits and your verses. I may have to try something like the nautical one – just bought a wide belt. Thanks for your interesting and inspiring blog. I have been feeling so much better about how I look lately and it is largely because I look to you for inspiration.

  4. Hi Cyndi. I just came across you blog and I love it! Thank you for being an example of a Godly woman. I agree with Sherri, you can dress modest and look great. Thank you for all of your great ideas and recommendations for hair, makeup and clothes. I look forward to seeing more.

  5. Hi Cyndi!
Just wanted to let you know that I love your blog and read it so much that I feel like we are friends! Of course, you’re the cooler friend with better hair and cuter clothes but I don’t even mind because you share all your secrets with us!
Thank you for showing that modesty doesn’t have to be frumpy! Keep it coming!!

  6. liked all of them. I am curious about the polka dotted top. is it double layer that creates the look of shadowy polka dots as well as the solid darker ones ??

  7. Hi Cyndi,

What about the belt you are wearing with the striped top? Do you know where you bought it? LOVE it!! A post on belts might be fun!

  8. Hi Cyndi, I love your blog and read it every day. I would love to know if you speak at churches and what topics you talk about. I am a Pastors wife, and I am always looking for a speaker, I live in Indianapolis. If that gives you an idea where I am from. Thanks for considering this.

  9. I just found your website through The Pleated Poppy & am SO GLAD I did! I love your fashion and spritiual inspiration & am looking forward to reading more!

  10. Hello Cyndi! I wanted to thank you for your blog. I enjoy reading about your lifes journeys, thank you for sharing yourself. I really enjoy your tips and tricks about fashion. Although I don’t ‘dress up’ every day I appreciate the information. I may not go for the same ‘look’, but I always have my eye out for a style you blogged about, or look for affordable similar products. Thanks! – Peggy

  11. very cute outfits! I especially like the pop of color your tote adds. I just got a beautiful handbag in tiffany blue that does the same thing. I really like how you tie verses in to your blog. Keep it up!!!!
