Fashion For Women Over 40+Menopause

**Hey sweet ladies!! I absolutely love sharing about these essential oils and how they’ve helped me with my menopause symptoms.

I am getting an enormous amount of emails and many of the questions you are asking are answered in this post or my post on 3 Reasons I Use Essential Oils for Menopause or Help For Menopause Symptoms

Would you mind reading them entirely and if you still have a specific question, I’ll be happy to help!! Thank you all so much! Let’s get healthy together!

Well, I was overwhelmed with your emails from my post yesterday. OVERWHELMED!! I wish I could hug each of you! I cannot believe how many of us our suffering from menopause, and to be honest, we’re suffering silently. I pray we can help each other through this season of our life.

If I haven’t answered your email yet, I will!!

For those of you not interested in Essential Oils, don’t worry, this is still a fashion & beauty blog. I’m not changing that!! But I do want to share about healthy lifestyles from time to time so I hope you’ll bear with me.

We’ve had some crazy summer weather here in Kentucky. We had a mild day so I pulled out this light crew neck layered sweater. (For some reason my camera blurred me instead of the background, I guess it thought the background was prettier!!)

It’s perfect for a mild day. I’m wearing a white tank tucked in under the sweater. The sweater and the off white piece are attached. Does that make sense? I added my favorite Stella & Dot necklace.

Now to Young Living Essential Oils!

I could write forever about these oils but most of you asked how I use them? Where do I put them?

There are 3 ways to use essential oils:

1. Inhalation (Diffuse or inhale directly from the bottle)

2. Topical Application (Place 2-3 drops of oil in the palm of your hand or on the desired application area. Massage the oil in a circular motion onto the skin. Repeat as necessary.

3. Internal Consumption (Some of the oils can be taken internally. We can talk more about this later.)

This 6 minute video explains it PERFECTLY. I think if you’ll take just a few minutes to watch it, you’ll understand it much better!

Now really quick let me introduce the Vita Flex Foot Chart. This may sound crazy to you if you’ve never heard of it but you’re feet are a great place to massage your oils.

This chart not only shows where your organs are on the bottom of your feet but also where to rub certain oils.

If you notice on the chart women’s reproductive organs are on the side of the feet.

That’s where I rub Ylang Ylang and Clary Sage. I know it sounds crazy but it works for me and many other women.

Here are some other oils that can help with Hormones.

The key is to use the oils regularly! (If you are currently using HRT, you will have to check with your doctor about going off. I’m not a doctor and cannot tell you how to go off of them.)

If you would like to start using Young Living Essential Oils go here to sign up. I highly recommend ordering the Premium Starter Kit and becoming a wholesale member. Then you get all your oils at a 24% discount.

Beauty For the Heart~~“People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway. If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway. For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.” -Mother Teresa

Have a blessed day!

Thank you a million and please carry oon the enjoyable work.

  3. I am in dead menopause due to surgery. I had endo and severe adhesions and severe complex cysts so had to have everything removed. I just got the oils ordered with the set but dont see ylang in the set. My ? is where on the foot or what oil(b/c I have a lot of basic single ones) should I put on my body for cortisol? I gained 8 lbs. Cant lose it. Tried everything. Its all in belly. Wont move. I used to have a flat tummy and now look 4 mths pregnant. I had 3 kids and got it all off till I had surgery and it returned. Any tips? I dont have flashes or anything. I am on a VERY low does of HRT, .05 and osfena for vag issues.

  4. Have been reading and re-reading your posts on this. I am very intrigued and seriously thinking of taking the plunge. At 50, I seem to be getting more small issues at times and like you want to avoid meds when I can. I am also curious how these will work with seasonal allergies.

  5. Thanks so much for the information Cyndi! So appreciated! I ordered the Ylang Ylang…can’t wait to try it…against these evil hormones 🙂

  6. That foot chart is fascinating! For a year I’ve put an oil on my feet at night and it has dramatically changed my sleep. I use doterra oils so a little different but close enough. Just one drop of Serenity (a lot like YL Peace and Calming) on each foot right before bed.

  7. Love your cropped sweater over the long tee and that necklace is so pretty and looks great. Loving the neutrals here, Cyndi. =)

Have a great day. Ada. =)

  8. I love your Beauty for the Heart today. That is absolutely one of my favorite quotes–if you’d call it that. I try to remember Mother Theresa’s wise words when I feel myself getting wrapped up in the politics at work. I often find myself whispering, “It’s between you and God, it’s between you and God…”

  9. Hi Suzanne, I totally understand your concern. I do think there’s a difference between a MLM and a pyramid scheme. Young Living is not a pyramid scheme.
Young Living has chosen this path to share their oils and the people who share them do get paid.
I do not take lightly the platform that I have with this blog. If you could see my inbox, I get tons of emails every day from companies who ask me to share their products (which they will pay me with money or product). But I am very careful about what I share and I turn 90% of them away.
I have to love what I share and I always consider what my readers would want. I feel you all trust me and I am choosy about what I share.
With that being said, I also spend an enormous amount of time on my blog and the last two days I’ve answered over 75 emails and I still have more to answer.
I always want to be up front about my blog and I do get paid to blog and to share products. Most popular (I don’t know that I’m popular) bloggers do. At this point I feel blessed to have a job that I love and I get to meet some amazing women along the way.
Most importantly, and not least, I get to share my faith. That’s a ministry I didn’t plan but I’m so thankful for the opportunity.
I hope you understand my heart here. I think these oils are making a difference in peoples lives. They’ve certainly helped me.
    Thanks for stopping by!!
    Cyndi

  10. I am curious to know why doTerra and Young Living essential oils are sold under the multiple marketing system where the more people who sell under you, the more you make? I have been reading from a lot of sources, and there are such widely varying claims – both positive and negative about the use of the oils. You are such a popular blogger and seem very sincere and genuine, and I am not trying to heckle you. You also are very pretty, and people tend to listen to those who are quite attractive. I think many hang on your every word on any issue. I am just wary about the claims of a product when they are part of someone making money from selling them. It’s hard to find the truth in such issues.

  11. Thank you. I am finding all this essential oil information very interesting. I am 45 years old and I will definitely be looking into this. I don’t feel any symptoms of menopause yet but I always suffer from insomnia around my cycle.
Also, what brand is that sweater from stitch fix? I absolutely love it.

  12. Cyndi may want to address this herself, but I believe her sister signed up with Young Living thinking that is what Cyndi sold. They wanted to work together and so Cyndi switched over.

  13. I just started used essential oils for my headaches and to aide in sleeping better. I was very skeptical but I’m seeing some great results. I love learning more about them. Thanks!

  14. Honestly, if bloggers in our age group don’t talk about menopause it would seem false. We are all going through it and long gone are the days of speaking of these things in hushed whispers. My symptoms aren’t too bad with only the occasional hot flashes. Hawthorne berry pills are helping that. I am so glad that moodiness is not part of this for me, but know full well it is a real problem for a lot of women. Natural remedies are becoming more mainstream and acceptable , thank goodness! Thank you for stepping up and sharing your journey and what you’ve found to help!

  15. Again, thanks for sharing Cyndi. Yes, so many are suffering silently. Or, as in my case are vocal about it but their current doctors are listening or quick to fix with a pill. I am greatly I stepped out of my comfort zone and found doctors who were indeed willing to listen, seek the source of my problems rather than mask them with a pill, and who encourage me spiritually as well. I am definitely going to talk with them about the use of oils.

  16. I, too, was curious about the switch from doterra. I joined doterra after reading your blog. I was just price comparing the ylang ylang and it seems to be slightly less expensive with doterra. Is there any difference in the quality of oils? Thank you!

  17. I’ve just found your blog not long ago and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Love your sense of style and am very intrigued about the essential oils. Keep up the great work! 🙂

  18. I just want to thank you for your support and encouragement. My eyes were opened, too, at how many of us are suffering in silence. Can’t wait for the rest of this series, and girl, you always look spectacular. Silly camera.

  19. I have a question. I started using doTerra essential oils after reading one of your posts about them. Is there a reason you switched to Young Living? Do you like them better, or are they less expensive? Thanks!
