Fashion Friday-Pinterest Inspired

Happy Friday friends!! Today I’m sharing a Pinterest inspired outfit. I’ve had these green shorts for a while but hadn’t worn them. I saw this outfit on Pinterest and decided to give them a try.

I love her necklace but I don’t like wearing one on the outside of my shirts, it’s not comfortable so my outfit is a little more plain. But don’t you love how my cell phone case matches my outfit? Ha!

I added some green earrings and gold sandals. I’m headed out to do some shopping and I love wearing a chambray shirt because it makes trying on clothes easy. (Pin source here.)

I have two different chambray shirts on in these pictures. I couldn’t decide which one I liked better. There’s not that much difference.

Don’t you love using Pinterest to help with outfit ideas?

I’m still overwhelmed with all the emails I’m getting after writing about menopause. I’m still answering them so if you haven’t heard from me yet, bear with me!

So many of you are ordering ylang ylang from Young Living, that I’m afraid they may run out! I’m glad I have plenty!

  1. I just recently subscribed to your blog after seeing some outfits on Pinterest. I too use Pinterest to wear outfits to church, out & about!

  2. I just recently subscribed to your blog after seeing some outfits on Pinterest. I too use Pinterest to wear outfits to church, out & about!

  3. I like the second shirt too but then I have one just like it! See I listen to your wise counsel and knew I had to have a Chambray shirt! 😉

  4. very cute outfits! I have several pairs of cute shorts like these in different colors. Now , i know what to wear with them. Thanks for the ideas! and yes, pinterest is great on those “can’t decide what to wear mornings “

  5. Girlfriend, I was thinking about the leg discussion in my Zumba class this morning. I work hard to keep my legs looking good, I’m gonna wear the shorts!

  6. I will wear this length shorts for as long as I have the legs to pull it off! You have great legs Cyndi – may as well take advantage of it – right??
I like both shirts with these shorts.

  7. Hi Cyndi! Cute outfit! You’re right, there isn’t much difference in the shirts, i think like the first one better though? Love the statement earrings you added too!

  8. Hi Cyndi,
First and foremost, you look smashing! Love your hair styled like this. I have some solid green shorts and will pair them this weekend with my chambray shirt a la Cyndi Spivey and Pinterest.
Second of all, you, Alison Lumbatis and some of the gals in the Style Me Challenges Alison sponsors have inspired me to try my hand at blogging. I am off to a slow start but how to become even half the terrific blogger you are! Please stop by to say hi at http://onceuponatimehappilyeverafter.com/. Happy weekend!

  9. I think your legs look awesome! Not inappropriate, we are in our 40’s, and if you have great legs, a 5 inch inseam is fine 🙂 As always, love the beauty for the heart (p.s. 103 degrees today, I am wearing 5 inch inseam shorts ;0)

  10. I love the versatility also of a chambray shirt ! Sometimes I like wearing a necklace on the outside of my shirts because then it helps hold the neck of the shirt closed a little more if it’s one where the first button is too far down. What key words do you gals put in the Pinterest “search” bar when you are looking at outfits! I need to try this.

  11. With these shorts, I like the first shirt because you can see a little more of the color and pattern. Very cute! I don’t have many colored shorts but I’ll be looking for some now 🙂

  12. I like the second one best and like yours better than the Pinterest one. Very cute. I wear longer shorts also but if I had your body I would love wearing the shorter ones.

  13. I think you look very cute in the outfit. However I would never feel comfortable enough to wear shorts that short at my age. I am more of a knee length kinda gal. Kinda think at our age we should go a little longer. Love your blog! You have such a sweet and tender spirit!

  14. My Stitch Fix stylist follows me on Pinterest so she can see what kind of clothes I like and post to my board. I just got my most recent “fix” and it is fabulous.

  15. Chambray, is one of my favorites, the second shirt I like the most, however you look darling in either.

  16. HaHa. Isn’t it funny how different people like/hate different things? I don’t like wearing a necklace on the INSIDE of my shirt, and ESPECIALLY not in summer.

Cute outfit, and yes, your phone case matches quite nicely.

  17. Cyndi, I like the chambray with the white buttons with the shorts, and I love the outfit.
I do use Pintrest A LOT for outfits. I feel Pintrest in general helps spark my creativity. But for outfits, I usually try to put several outfits together for work so it cuts down my time getting ready. Using Pintrest to do this, I find I use more of my closet then I would. I will see something put together, like you did with your pictures, and say to myself, Hey- I have a striped dress, or pink scarf…….. It helps me get out of a rut, and helps me get out the door quicker.
