***If you are seeing my website but have been getting a CNN ad, please know that I did not put that on my blog. Somehow it’s gotten on my blog and I’m trying to get it removed ASAP. I’m so sorry and bear with me. Thank you so much!
Well happy fall and welcome to day 4 of my 31 days of fall fashion. The weather is crisp and cool here in Kentucky so it’s time to pull out the boots.
I also wanted to wear my red vest and plaid shirt and today is the perfect day. I think it’s a good day for a cup of pumpkin spice latte too. Yum!

I have this same flannel shirt and vest from ON. Wore it Thursday when I voted! 🙂
adorable! I never thought I was a ‘puffy vest girl’ until recently I am really itching to pull the hand-me-down from my closet & try it out soon! thanks for showing me an option I think I can pull off.
Love the look, but especially love the Tozer quote. One of my favorite “dead theologians!”
Hi Cindi! I have a question on boots. I like Ugh type boots but wondering if that style is more for teenagers or can a 44 y/o pull it off?
Hey Tina,
I’m always a little leery about saying don’t wear this. People get a little testy about that. 🙂
But I have several books on fashion for women over 40 and they say it’s a “no” for women over 40.
With that being said, if you love them, I would wear them with a cute sweater and a pair of skinny jeans. I would stay away from wearing them with leggings.
Hope that helps!!
Cyndi
Hi Cyndi! CUTE, CUTE! Love the whole look! Your vest I love, yesterday I was reading a blog for 40+ women touting the faux fur vests for Fall and Winter. The women looked awful and virtually all of comments were negative. I’ve was reading a mag talking about the trend in plaid flannel shirts for fall and winter. I’ve got one on my list. Your boots always look so great with your outfits and you wear them so well.
You look adorable! Love this outfit. We had a sunny and humid 72 degree temp. this morning and then after it rained it was more of a cool fall day so a weird clothing day it was! Love you boots 🙂

I love vests! wear them all year round (different fabrics of course!!!)
Darling outfit Cindi! Send some of that weather to Oklahoma! I pulled out my new grey booties this morning but it’s already warming up!

Great outfit, Cyndi! I love this look and you look fantastic.
What size vest do u have? I ordered medium but a little big wondering how small fits. I have that same shirt:)
Oh I am so envious, here in Orange County California we’re supposed to get up to 94 degrees today
Love the red vest!! Might have to get that! I enjoy your site so much, thanks for all your hard work!
Cute outfit. I haven’t had my boots out yet, here in Allberta I wear shoes as long as possible because we have a long boot season!
