What To Wear To A School Holiday Party

We’re back with 12 Days of Holiday Outfits! Today, it’s What To Wear To A School Holiday Party.

12 Days Of Holiday Outfits and More!

This ones a little sad for me because I don’t have children in school. Both of my children are grown and long gone are the school parties. Oh do I miss those days!

Of course at the time, I was complaining about trying to get all the goodies baked and buying teacher gifts, and feeling overwhelmed. Now, I wish I could do it again!

Maybe I could just pop in at someone’s school christmas party. Would that be awkward? I can see it now, pastor’s wife arrested for stalking school christmas parties. Ha!

Well, if I’ve learned one thing, it’s treasure each season you’re in because life goes by very quickly.

I recently saw a picture on Pinterest with a red vest, off white sweater and striped top so I decided to give it a try.

I love my striped shirt from LOFT and went ahead and styled it a couple of other ways.

Lastly, I added my plaid scarf from Target. You can’t see it in these pictures but it’s drizzling rain and it’s cold and I’m freezing! I’m going in and sit by the fire and drink a cup of hot chocolate!

All three ways are comfortable and would work for a school christmas party.

Which of the 3 ways to style a striped shirt is your favorite?

Beauty For the Heart~~I worry about children today. The world is such a harsh place. I worry about children who are bullied. Schools are not fun places for many children today. Sometimes I pray for them all. I don’t know their names but God does.

This scripture has always fascinated me. I don’t pray to angels. I don’t think that’s biblical but I do pray for protection over children and scripture does seem to say that their are angels guarding them.

Matthew 18:10 says, Be sure you do not hate one of these little children. I tell you, they have angels who are always looking into the face of My Father in heaven.

I do know this for sure, children are precious in His sight!

Have a blessed day!

Happy new year and keep going on, love your work.
    Bye.

  2. I love the plaid scarf, I would wear it with the off white sweater and my red vest, my reds match perfectly with the scarf and vest so that is my go to festive shopping and school outfit. All your outfits are so cute hard to choose. Thank you for sharing.

  3. Such cute outfits. I’ve been on the lookout for a cute plaid scarf and couldn’t find one I liked. Until today. I went out and bought the same scarf from Target that you are wearing. Thank you for finding it for me:)

  4. Cyndi, speaking as a teacher in her 35th year, I can tell you that volunteers are welcome! I’ll bet you know an elementary teacher or two who would welcome you into their classroom at this busy time of the year! Read a story, help hand out the party snacks. You would be a blessing!

  5. I’m one of the older moms out there with a young child. My daughter is in Kindergarten, and the time does seem to be flying by! I’ll be going to her Christmas party and most likely wearing something similar, but making sure I have some black in there somewhere! LOL I do love black clothes. 🙂

  6. I really love your blog and am inspired by the outfits and the messages that you post. I am a teacher that just turned 50 and I like to stay fashionable without looking like I am trying too hard or dressing too young for my age. I first saw your pictures on Pinterest and i have been following your blog ever since. I know it sounds like a teacher but, “Keep up the great work!”

  7. Love all the outfits today…..3 daughters are teachers so I invite myself to their parties to help out…unfortunately I think EVERYTHING the kids do is adorable and apparently I can’t tell the difference between cuteness and misbehaving, so I’m not really that much help, but I do have a ball.

  8. Oh how I wish I could do it again too! I also miss the activities that came with kids at home.
Love the outfits as usual. I so enjoy your blog Cyndi and thank you for getting me back into putting more effort into what I wear and how I wear my clothes. It makes me feel better about myself.
    Stay warm!
