31 Days of Winter Fashion-Day 3

It’s Day 3 of my 31 Days of Winter Fashion! I feel like I’m kind of a pro at these 31 day things. I’ve done several in October and I did 31 Days of Summer Fashion this past July.

31 Days of Winter Fashion should be a breeze, right? Not! I forgot to take the weather into consideration. It has been yucky!

I’ve taken pictures in a lot of weather conditions but wind and rain are a killer. So bear with me through the 31 days of winter. I might have to get creative!

One of the things I wanted to do was winterize some of my fall outfits. We have to re wear our clothes but I think it’s fun to change them up a little.

I wore this red vest and plaid shirt this past fall. It was one of my favorite outfits because it was so comfortable.

During the winter months, I want to add some layer. We are expecting an arctic front this week with high temperatures only in the teens. That will be some fun weather for my pictures. 🙂

I added a navy blue sweater to my fall outfit. This should keep me warm during these winter months.

Do you try to add layers to some of your fall outfits?

I’d love for you to connect with me on your favorite social media platform. I’m on FacebookInstagram and Pinterest!

Beauty For the Heart~~Psalm 42 reminds us that in the midst of turmoil in our lives we still need to have an attitude of praise. That’s not easy is it?

I’ve found if I make praising Jesus a daily habit, then on the difficult days, I can still praise Him because I’m already in the habit!

Psalm 42:5, Why am I so depressed? Why this turmoil within me? Put your hope in God, for I will still praise Him, my Savior and my God.

Have a blessed day!

  1. Hi Cyndi – I have that same shirt/vest combo from Old Navy. I love the “winterizing” it with a sweater. Not sure how it will look with the navy sweater in person, since (if I recall correctly) it was more of a black/royal plaid? But maybe I shouldn’t be so match-y. I will have to check my closet when I get home. The sweater/shirt/vest combo has been my favorite go-to outfits this winter (especially a fair isle sweater with plaid or gingham shirt).

  2. Layering is a must here in Canada. You have to stay warm so looking fashionable at the same time is a win win!
Thanks for all your tips Cyndi

  3. I love your outfit! I do not layer much here because I live in Texas. I also just love your style and your faith!! Many blessings!!

  4. PS: I meant to tell you that I purchased a similar red vest (Charter Club) this past November when you styled your first outfit last fall! Thanks for the inspiration…I love my vest and have worn it with navy, black, ivory and gray tops and/or sweaters as well as plaids, polka dots and scarves! It’s kind of become a basic in my closet!

    1. So happy you were able to find one – it’s a basic in my closet too! Be sure and tag a post up of your look for all to see!
      Blessings,
      Cyndi

  5. Love to see ways to change up an outfit! Both look wonderful! We have a full-on blizzard here in CO today with a balmy 3° temperature! I can hardly believe you still have green grass and green leaves on your trees! Stay warm Cindi, we Coloradoans layer up a lot!

  6. I really like the added navy sweater! I also like the plaid shirt with the vest, You give us such great ideas, I’m headed to Charlotte, NC Monday to try and find a few cute things at a great price 🙂 I look forward to your blog everyday, you truly are a blessing. Have a wonderfully blessed weekend, looking forward to your next post 🙂

  7. I love wearing a cardigan or zip up sweater over my fall short sleeved shirts. My husband is traveling for work next week and will be in that weather. I am hoping that he doesn’t freeze.

  8. Hey Cyndi! I love the sweater as an added layer to your outfit! You still get the red pop of color from your shirt collar to pull the vest in and what is more versatile than a pretty navy sweater. That outfit looks darling and fit for the chilliest days. BTW, I read in the paper this morning about that Arctic cold front, we’ll be blasted here in Missouri too. I often use cardigans and scarves to “winter up” my fall wardrobe. It saves me money and I don’t have to buy two separate wardrobes. I love the sweet necklace with your sweater, it really makes the look! Happy Blessed Saturday!

  9. I love your blog, I recently stumbled upon it and boy has it been an inspiration! Thank you 🙂 As for today’s outfit, I love that you re-purposed items that you already had/wore before. I liked your previous look but I love this one more. You looked more polished and put together. Not that you didn’t before, but this look just works so much. I want to say thank you for showing how easy it is to change it up. I can’t wait to see more inspiring outfits! 🙂
