It’s Day 26 of my 31 Days of Winter Fashion. I feel like I’m saying that a little slower. Kind of like if you’re running a marathon and you’re on mile 20 of the 26 miles. You’re pushing through!
Of course I’ve never run a marathon so I don’t know what mile 20 would feel like but you get the point!
Because I know ya’ll are on pins and needles over my silver earring fiasco, the snow has melted and voila! I found my earring! I took a picture for you. 🙂

Beauty For the Heart~~This morning my devotion was the scripture 1 John 3:3-4,
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome. For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
The world in this passage is talking about worldly things like money, success, pleasure. Why do we need to overcome the world? Because if we aren’t careful it will overcome us and pull us away from our relationship with Jesus.
Be on guard and don’t let the world pull you in the wrong direction!

Score on this outfit, love the colors. On the Ponte Pant topic, I pretty much live in ponte pants these days…always searching for anything dressy that I can call work pants but are really pj’s in disguise…..I struggle a little with what shoes to wear, flats look good or high heels, but for work I really need a mid heel and that doesn’t quite look right…my daughter once showed up at my office wearing the thin leggings and I told her she was wearing the Emperors New Clothes.
Glad you found the earring! I have some pointe pants and I do love them. However, I struggle just a bit with length of top to wear. Mine are from Loft and have cute zipper detail on the front. Yet when I put on a regular length sweater rather than a tunic I’m just not sure! Do you ladies wear regular length sweaters with ponte pants? Do you think that as long as the sweater comes to the meet the crotch of the pants it’s ok? I would love to hear comments!

I haven’t run a marathon either, however, I am in training for a HALF. My plan is to run it in April. Anyway, I am enjoying your winter styles, so hang in there. I appreciate your scripture also. It is very easy to get caught up in this world. You are a help in “renewing our minds”. Thanks.
So happy to see you letting more people know about Ponte Pants! The comfort of leggings, but with better coverage is a great thing, We have a saying in our house: “Leggings are NOT pants!” My hubby worked for a few years as a librarian at a university and he has some real horror stories about the young ladies and inappropriate coverage/transparency/fit with leggings. He said it often looks to him as if a gal put on stockings and forgot her skirt. Eeeek! So my personal rule (especially at 40-something) is that if I am wearing leggings there must be some other garment (tunic, dress, skirt, etc) covering all the parts of my body that would normally be covered if I were wearing a pair of shorts. I certainly don’t want to scare anyone! 😀

Your Ponte Pant sounds much like the thicker leggings called “Jeggings” . I prefer the thicker leggings like these too. Sorry, I just have to mention that you look sexy and hot in this outfit. 🙂 That is a very good thing for a lady of our age…. So many women give up and don’t care to keep up their beauty in style after a certain age… Not me, I want to look my best on into my 90’s, LOL !!! 🙂 and you my dear lady, still has it, and we enjoy looking at your style and taking notes to see what I have in my closet that looks like each outfit.
