Sunday Encouragement-Trust Me

Have I not told you- Be strong and haveI shared with you a few days ago that I felt a whisper from God saying, “Trust me.” Trust me in this crazy, messed up world.

Trust me when you don’t understand why things happen like children who are diagnosed with cancer, or children who are abused, sex trafficking, shootings and so much more.

I think of what my Mom told me before she died, “I don’t always understand God but I trust Him.”

So in the midst of chaos we trust Him.

  • God is trustworthy!

Sovereign Lord, you are God! Your covenant is trustworthy, and you have promised these good things to your servant. 2 Samuel 7:28

  • God will never leave us!

Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 9:10

  • God’s love never fails!

But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. Psalm 13:5

  • Christ is Our Hope!

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

We are here on earth at this time in history for a reason and we each have a purpose. So let’s not lose heart!!

I love the words to this song, Even so Come, “Like a bride Waiting for her groom, We’ll be a church Ready for You, Every heart longing for our King, We sing, Even so come, Lord Jesus come.”

Are you trusting God today? Do you know that He is trustworthy?

  1. Thank you for your post. Your post helps ease my mind as my husband undergoes chemo treatments this week. God Bless!

  2. Dear Cyndi, Thank you so much for your words of encouragement! They are true and timely. It can hardly be said often enough that God is good and His faithful love lasts forever and that we should and , with the Holy Spirit’s help, can trust Him all the time with everything. It is powerful when you post those scriptures and tell us that He is always with us and He won’t forsake us. Thank you so much for speaking these truths to us. We need it.

  3. Cyndi
I enjoy reading your daily comments and how you trust in the Lord. Keep up the great work. You have a ministry here through your fashion tips, you always add in a Bible verse!
    God is using you!!
    Sandy

  4. Thank you Cyndi! In these past 7 days, a dear friend was diagnosed with esophageal cancer, close friends of my husband and I lost their only child, a daughter, in an automobile accident and my daughter-in-law’s Mother, at 56 years old suffered a sudden serious heart attack.
I’ve been trying to pray and I don’t know where to start. Instead I have just allowed worry and fear to dominate my whole being. I know God is with me and those who are suffering. My faith has been restored.

  5. Thank you for this devotion today. Our morning worship was awesome… then I stepped out in the world and was so discouraged by a couple of events. But, you reminded me to Trust God!! Have a blessed day!

  6. I so needed these reminders, Cyndi! I find that I trust Him MOST of the time — why can’t I trust Him ALL of the time? Something I’m working on for sure. Have a blessed Sunday ~ xo Heidi

  7. I needed this today. I woke up this morning around 4 worrying about my grand daughter. She made some bad choices this week, and it has effected all of us.
I know that she knows better, and I know that God gave her a free will. All I could do is pray “God. I know you know her circumstances. I don’t know what you have planned for her life. However, I trust you. I know you are watching over her. ” When people say there is no hope for her my response is that as long as there is a God in Heaven there is hope. I’m praising God today. God is so good all the time.

    Thank you for posting this.

  8. My husband and I recently watched the Kirk Cameron movie “Unstoppable” which was all about trusting God even through tragedy. It was really a great reminder for me during these troubling times.
I, too, look forward most to the Sunday posts! It’s nice to make contact with and get encouragement from other Christian sisters!
    Have a Blessed Day! Julie

  9. My two daughters have a broken relationship, I needed to remember to trust God that He can heal what is broken. I need to also remember He does His work on His schedule not my time.

  10. Like some of the other ladies Cyndi, I love all of your posts, but especially the ones on Sunday. In this fast paced world with the media focusing on the bad, too often, it’s great to have you as one more reminder that God is good and He really rules the world. My faith and trust in God is what gets me through most days, even if nothing really bad happens.

We had 8 out of town family members visiting in our small country home for a couple of days, with all types of personalities and ages ranging from 4 – 73. While everyone is a Christian, there were still some times that a stronger personality was evident. When necessary, I would go back to our bedroom away from everyone, to say a quick prayer, asking God to guide me.

    Have a blessed Sunday!

  11. Thank you for your words of encouragement,Cindy! I have several situations in my life right now that require an abundance of trust, which I don’t always have. I’m going to take it one moment at a time. God bless you.

  12. Yes I think God is saying will you trust me even though such and such is happening? That is the walk of faith.

I love each point that you make. We can trust Him even when we don’t understand.

Thank you so much for this encouragement. I not only look forward to enjoy your fashion posts but your Sunday posts as well.

You have the gift of encouragement and it really shows. You shine for Jesus and are a wonderful role model, mentor and mighty woman of God.

May God bless you for the way that you pour into the lives of others.

    Beth

  13. Hi Cyndi – thank you so much for this post. I’m due to go in for a minor hospital procedure tomorrow and feeling a little anxious, this has reminded me that God is with me at all times and will always protect me!

You and your family have a blessed Sunday!

    Thank you for sharing!

    Lina (in Bermuda)

P.S. I love your blog, your style and faith!

    1. Lina, turn your anxiousness over to God. He will be with you every step of the way. Let’s remember to pray for the medical team that will be caring for you, as well as those that love you and will be waiting for you during the procedure and recovery. “Father, please watch over Lina. Calm her fears and help her to feel your presence every day. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!”

      1. Thank you Ginger the wonderful words of encouragement! I am going to print your kind words and prayer and read it throughout the day into tomorrow! I know that God loves me, he will hold me in the palm of his hand…….Amen!

        Many blessings to you!

        Hugs!

        1. Lina, you are certainly welcome! I’ve had too many surgeries, minor and major to count in my 58 years. The most serious was having tumors removed from my pituitary to treat Cushing’s Disease back in 2007. I went into that surgery without any fear because I knew God was in full control of the outcome. Years after the surgery it hit me how serious that surgery was & that I could have very easily died on the operating table. I definitely have to rely on my faith even when I have a colonoscopy because I get very anxious about that procedure and what they could find. Don’t let fear get the upper hand! Walk around smiling today and singing the most joyous songs you can think of. God’s got this and so do you!

          1. Wow Ginger, God is awesome and good! It was through his grace that you got through it all.

Thank you for your encouraging words. I will take your advise, smile and sing like a song bird all day!

  14. My favorite thing about God (my Daddy Abba), is how He always brings a word from Him just in time – to encourage, to shift my focus, to lift me to His lap.

This week has been challenging for me. There has been the height of emotional craziness thanks to hormones, a water leak discovered in our house and this morning a kitchen light suddenly not working (not the lightbulb). Every situation has had me on tenuous ground in an instant BUT GOD!!! He backs me from the false cliff-edge the enemy has made for me and He has reminded me of His faithfulness and reminded me that His rose garden had thorns that saved me for eternity so He knows how to get me through the brambly patches of life.

Thank you for hearing His voice this morning and allowing Him to use you to reach others.

    1. Dear Cyndi, Thank you for posting these scriptures and telling us the truth that we CAN trust our loving God and that He will never leave us or forsake us. We don’t have to be afraid because He is with us and will help us . I need to hear that often and redirect my thoughts toward the Lord and His truth. It’s an anchor that hold us steady. Thank you for your words of encouragement. They are timely and a blessing.
