26 Days of Fall Fashion (Day 22)

26 Days of Fall Fashion (Day 22)Welcome to Day 22 of my 26 Days of Fall Fashion. Today I’m styling a burgundy and navy tie neck blouse.

A few months ago I shared with you how tie neck blouses are making a comeback for fall 2015. I love that they are feminine and can be dressed up or dressed down.

Here are some tie neck blouse outfits I found on Pinterest.

Pink tie neck blouse with gray pants.

26 Days of Fall Fashion (Day 22)
An anthropologie inspired outfit.

26 Days of Fall Fashion (Day 22)
A cute blouse with a gray skirt and a pop of yellow.

26 Days of Fall Fashion (Day 22)
I’m styling a mud pie belle tunic with jeans and boots. This would be perfect for a casual Friday work day or even a date night.

26 Days of Fall Fashion (Day 22)
Styling it with jeans and boots gives it a more trendy look. If you styled it with navy pants and a navy blazer, it would  be too matchy matchy. Don’t do it! 🙂

26 Days of Fall Fashion (Day 22)
My daughter who wasn’t born until the ’80s doesn’t remember the tie neck trend from the ’70s. She loves this blouse and can’t wait to borrow it.

26 Days of Fall Fashion (Day 22)
I did the front tuck and left the back of the blouse untucked.

  1. Now this tie shirt I like. I like the length of the back and the fact that the tie itself is not prominent. And once again, you wear it better than the model. I think you missed your calling. Very cute outfit!

  2. Love your outfit on you. But I did that years ago so will pass this time. 🙂 really love beauty for the heart. Can’t wait to see what is next after 26 days.

  3. I bought a solid burgundy tie neck blouse last fall and finally wore it this week to work! I was born in the early 70s and remember the female attorneys on the TV show LA Law wearing them (but a high neck more conservative version)! I’m a lawyer now so I was channeling my inner LA Law wearing it – except that I wore it with black slacks , leopard heels and statement gold earrings – a perfect combo of throw back and modern style!

  4. Just lovely! I really like the color of this top. You look great as usual. I’ve enjoyed the Fall series!!

    Happy Weekend! ????

  5. I went to order this top but they charge $35.00 on a $45.00 blouse to ship to Canada. Crazy! Love the blouse and how you styled it though. I always thought I’m not buying a bow front blouse, as my mom always wore them. I loved her dearly but didn’t want to dress like her. Seeing theses examples has changed my mind.

  6. I had to laugh when I read your comment about what not to wear it with because I was with my mom (79) this weekend. She’s fairly stylish but things do match. She always wants me to pick out her earrings once she’s dressed just to see what I’ll come up with – most of the time she wears them and says, “I’d have never thought of that!” but sometimes she just looks at me like I’m crazy. But I agree with the earlier commenter, I’m going to let her be herself and wear what she wants because she’s precious in His sight and mine! I love this blouse with the boots and jeans — I can’t erase those memories in my head though of the 70s. I’ll be late to this trend!

    1. Yes I agree about your Mom. I am sure she is precious!!! But i’m guessing she doesn’t read my blog and I was talking about the women who read my blog. 🙂

      Cyndi

  7. I like all of them, yours and the ones you found on Pinterest – very cute! Now just wish I had occasion to wear one…..I have too much running around in a day with my kids, etc., so they’re not practical for me 🙁

  8. Cyndi, I don’t know if it’s bc I totally adore fall clothes more than any other season or what, but you are really hitting it out of the park with these outfits this month!!! love this look too! Have a great weekend!

  9. Yes , thanks for all you do , and i have been looking for a bow front blouse and have the hardest time finding one , this one looks great , my colors …thanks

  10. I love this blouse and love the way you are styling the entire outfit! Looks great! I need to find a tie neck blouse now. Have a great afternoon!?

  11. Just wanted to leave you a quick note on what an upstanding boutique Glamour Farms is.
I accidentally clicked on the pick up in store tab during check out instead of ship to me. One phone call & I had my shirt in 2 days!!
    Top Notch customer service !!!

  12. love the boots and clutch . I finally order from glamour farm thanks for the coupon . I may have to call them to see if i can get that clutch . I love it !! i have a baby shower to go to and that would be the perfect bag. hope things are starting to quiet down for you

    Blessings
    Nick

  13. I do remember the tie blouse from the 70’s and I didn’t really like them……I like the loose tie with more of a V neck look that all of these bring with them……and I like that they can be dressed up and down…..a good piece to have in our wardrobes…..Thanks and I am sending a “smile” to you as you really brighten my day!

  14. I love that look, but in all of the pictures the blouse is tucked in, at the very least a front tuck. My shape does not really encourage tucking…..is it going to look dumpy if it’s not tucked in?

  15. I really like this tie neck blouse! I too appreciate you sharing what not to wear it with. My 88 yr old mom loves for things to match & I’m going to let her be. The ladies in her assisted living facility that still have some ability to think match their clothes as well. It’s sweet and that’s how it should be. It will be late November before I will be able to get my left ankle in my cowgirl boot, so I can’t mimic this outfit until then. Have a blessed day and weekend!

  16. Love this blouse! Great color and print. This will work for these 50 degree mornings and 70 degree afternoons here in Indiana. Thanks for all you do to inspire both spiritually and physically for so many women. ? (sending you a big smile today)
