Adding Fringe To Your Fall Wardrobe

fall fashion trend fringeI’m excited to be teaming up with some of my fashion blogger friends to share how we wear one of the biggest fashion trends this fall: FRINGE!

I have shared my love for the fringe trend with you. I ‘m crazy over my fringe boots, and this aztec fringe cardigan. There are so many ways to add it to your wardrobe.

Today I have another fringe cardigan from Glamour Farms. I wore it with an off white short sleeve top from LOFT but I think it would look better with a colored top like, brown, gray or even burgundy.

fringe sweater 2I will wear this cardigan a lot this fall and winter. Although, I was melting while taking these pictures in the Florida heat but I’m not complaining. It will be cool in Kentucky when I get back home from vacation.

Beauty For the Heart~~To grow in our relationship with Christ, we have to be intentional. It does not come naturally or easy.

Everyday, I have a million things that pull me from spending time in God’s word. I have found that setting aside time first thing in the morning works best for me.

Let me encourage you to be intentional in finding time to spend with Christ. It will be worth it!

“I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing. Anyone who separates from me is deadwood, gathered up and thrown on the bonfire. But if you make yourselves at home with me and my words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon. This is how my Father shows who he is—when you produce grapes, when you mature as my disciples.” John 15:5-8 (The Message)

Have a blessed day!

  1. Hi Cindy! I just placed an order on Glamour Farms! Thank you for the discount code. You look wonderful in everything you wear. I decided on the Making Memories Cardi in Black/White for my first purchase. Keep on keeping on with your fashion ideas and your beautiful messages. God Bless you!

  2. I agree that proportions are very important with this look. You don’t want to look like you’re wearing a blanket!

  3. This fringed cardigan is beautiful! I love it! I think I can finally embrace this trendy item. How do you store all of these pieces of bulky clothing? Folded on open shelves, folded in drawers, draped on hangers?

    1. Hey Tricia,
Thanks so much for asking! If you click the link on my blog that says necklace, under my picture, I will get credit for your order.
      Have a blessed day!
      Cyndi

  4. Hey Cyndi Girl…been a while. I enjoyed your 26 Days of Fall Fashion, but just haven’t been up to do much with my email, so I just looked at my faves. You look so casually chic in this sweater with your jeans and boots and your hubs took great shots!
I tried one very similar to this one on at Macy’s and I loved it! My problem was that on my 5’2″ frame the front went all the way to the floor. I asked if they carried this one or others like it in a petite. She said “No.” I was discouraged. Do you have any idea where I might check online to find something like this in a petite size? I’ve checked with Nordstrom’s and didn’t find any. I HAVE to have one! What a versatile piece of clothing.

  5. Hi Cyndi, Cute outfit and I like the fringe as well…I just wish they would make some of these for shorter women. I feel they add weight to anyone who isn’t a tall thin person.

Anyone had any luck finding a petite version of this style?

  6. Are there more petite versions of these sweaters available? That style in the standard sizing would swallow me whole! Love the looks, but a offering where to get a petite version for us under 5’3” would be greatly appreciated!

  7. I have been loving these capes/sweaters that are so popular right now and tried everything in my power to find one that looks good on me. Now I’m not a big girl, usually wear a 8 top, but every one i’ve put on makes me look like I’m about to take off and fly (and adds a lot of “weight” to me too).. I tried on a really pretty multi colored one in Target the other day but quickly put it back. I also ordered a gorgeous one from Nordstrom and had to send it back too. Guess I’m not meant to wear them but they sure are pretty!

  8. You rock everything girl !!! I am short and I would look frumpy even with high heel boots.

I am like you in regards to putting God first in the morning. If I do not have my alone time early, then nine times out of ten, I will not have it later in the day. I have found a wonderful daily devotional and ministry which you probably already know about and that is Proverbs 31 Ministries. Check out the devotionals and the First 5 app that was created. All the writers challenge you to give God the first five minutes of your day. (more of course if you can).

Oh yeah, I admiring you for packing the poncho and boots 🙂

Keep up your inspiring scriptures and awesome fashions.

  9. So funny, yes, the husbands and the pictures… we get into a bit of a scuffle sometimes. It’s usually b/c he’s such a perfectionist, and I’m like, JUST TAKE A PICTURE! ha!

LOVE that poncho. Of course I do. I’m OBSESSED with ponchos this season. I agree, it would be nice over grey.

  10. Yes, I love fringe too! I just bought short booties in a medium brown color with a small amount of fringe on the sides. I can’t wait to wear them but it’s still hot here in Phoenix. I plan on wearing them to the Garth Brooks concert here in Phoenix later this month. Keep up your good work, I get so many great ideas from you! I love that sweater you styled today and wish I lived somewhere COLDER so I could wear it too.

  11. Very cute and would hide alot (giggle) a good outfit for those days when you want to look trendy but would rather snuggle up with a good book and some tea!

  12. This is adorable Cyndi. Love the entire outfit! I would get lost in the cardigan since it’s so long and I am short… But it still looks great! Hope you are enjoying Florida!

    1. That’s an excellent description, Marcia. It’s probably why I wear more sweaters/knits than shirts, although I love the look of the latter: the snuggly factor!
