Fall Fashion-Boutique Style

boutique style octoberOne of the reasons I like boutique style is because it’s different than what you will see at the mall.

I’m styling both of these outfits with fringe boots from Glamour Farms that I wear all the time. They’re stylish and comfortable.

This one button cape goes perfect with black ponte pants and instead of wearing a black boot, I styled it with my brown fringe boots.

Next, I’m styling this adorable classic top with a twist. I have already worn this top several times. It is so unique!

Beauty For the Heart~~ The last few years, I have experienced some deep hurts in several different areas of my life. I was thinking that I might have cried more in the last 6 years of my life than I did in the other 42 years of my life combined. (does that make sense?)

Have you ever had a broken heart? Do any of you have wounds from past sins, or from someone that has hurt you? Maybe a friend let you down. a spouse has betrayed you or maybe you’re spouse has passed away.

You’ll be glad to know that scripture says, He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 47:3. My advice is always run to Christ, he is our healer and our protector.

Have a blessed day!

  1. Hi Cyndi,
Was on the road a couple of weeks so I backed up and looking at your previous blogs!
I AGREE with you whole heartily… I love shopping at boutique stores because of the fun styles that are a one of a kind or at least won’t be seen on other people in the vicinity… LOL
You are beautiful in all your cardigans…. I have to be very picky about the over-sized look, where I still carry a chubby belly, that doesn’t look appealing in over-sized clothing. One day soon, my belly roll will be gone and I will wear the wraps and over-sized looking clothing!LOL
    Have a blessed weekend!

  2. Cyndi, I like the style of the burn out shirt, but not too crazy about the holes! LOL
I can certainly understand where you are coming from though about the tears you have shed. We have had a very rough year.My husband lost his mother in March and I lost mine in August.

  3. Thank you for letting the Lord provide that verse through you. Our family is waiting any day for the loss of an older loved one.

  4. Two years ago I had a panic attack and then battled anxiety for a while, when I spoke to my doctor I told her my life is SO GOOD right now there was no cause for anxiety. I’d been through much harder times, she smiled and said maybe this is the anxiety from years ago you weren’t strong enough then you must be stronger now. That just struck me at the time and I’m blessed to have my anxiety under control (most days ?).

Sorry for your loss and I pray safe travels.

  5. I get it…I too have had a “rough” spot in life, when it feels like there simply couldn’t be anymore tears to cry.
    Travel safely.
Thank you for the beauty for the heart…HIS arms are always there to catch us when we fall, or can’t stand anymore.

  6. I love the “burn out” top. My hubby says the same thing though when I wear the ripped jeans – “honey, people will think we can’t afford clothes without holes in them…” to which I respond “sometimes it actually costs MORE to get ones with holes in them – ha”.

  7. As usual, love your outfits and how to wear them. It’s tough to lose a dear one that has been a mentor and friend; however it can encourage us to fill the role and be that mentor to others.
I can relate to the hurt and sorrow. I think I’ve cried more in the past two years than ever. I am thankful though because God has been with me, beside me and there throughout this crisis time. He is faithful and has provided joy when I least expected it.

Many blessings to you and your family as your travel to honor a dear loved one.

  8. Hi Cyndi,

Yes, it is so good to have people in our life to encourage us. I will keep that family in my prayers. Thank you for the scripture. Your outfits look great.

  9. I’m sorry for the loss of your friend. I have lost many pillars of the faith in my life. I miss them. And I totally “get” your statement about the last six years. I went through the same thing. From January 2004 – Augyst 2006 it was one major heartbreak to another. I learned never to think we’ve met our quota! Not that things have been smooth since then, but nothing to compared to that period. I am proud to say that I am still standing and that my faith is intact. (I had always been afraid that there was something “out there” that would cause me to buckle. I no longer fear that.)
