Blanket Scarf-25 Days of Winter Fashion (Day 7)

Blanket Scarf-25 Days of Winter Fashion (Day 7)Welcome to Day 7 of our 25 Days of Winter Fashion!! I’m guessing you have noticed that blanket scarfs are everywhere.

I couldn’t share winter fashion and not style a blanket scarf. They are easy to wear and can definitely add warmth to your outfit.

I’m mixing stripes and plaid with this outfit. My blanket scarf is from H&M, I love the camel and black.

Blanket Scarf-25 Days of Winter Fashion (Day 7)I put the scarf on and took the pictures. I didn’t try to make it look perfect because truthfully if I’m wearing it, this is how it will look.

Blanket Scarf-25 Days of Winter Fashion (Day 7)I let it hang long in the back.

blanket-scarf-9I think this outfit would be great to wear to the movie theatre. I always freeze and this blanket scarf would definitely keep me warm!

Beauty for the Heart~~A few houses in our subdivision have turned on their outside Christmas lights. I knew Colt, my grandson, was going to love seeing them.

Last night when we got out of the car, he stood in our driveway looking at them and said, “Cici, they’re beautiful, they’re just beautiful!”

I was thinking about what he said this morning. Light is beautiful. Light shines in the darkness and brings beauty.

Jesus is light and with him we don’t have to walk in darkness.

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

Have a blessed day!

  1. Oh! Love this look! It’s so cozy!! I even have the basics in my closet right now, including boots in that color- so exciting when an accessory gives me a whole new outfit option!

  2. Love the blanket scarf, I wear mine in so many ways! This outfit is great! Movies or football games! I wear mine with a belt in a couple of ways. I make it into a poncho and another I bring it around my neck and belt it, it changes the look of an outfit and a great way to wear just in case it gets cold so you don’t have to carry a jacket.

Thanks for all your wonderful styles and the inspiring insight of the fashion world.

    Blessing

        1. thanks so much Cyndy…..hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving. thanks also for all of the great fashion and spiritual blessings!

  3. I love the colors of your scarf! And this is probably the way I wear mine most often. But for those wondering about other ways to wear it, just Google “styling a blanket scarf.” Last year I got lots of ideas from other bloggers…complete with video instructions in many cases.

  4. I really like this look and I think I would feel very cozy. I like to curl up in a blanket in the winter. My only issue is–I can’t walk around all day with my arms bent to keep it on!!! How does that work??? And I totally agree with the other comment–whatever you have on underneath has to be able to stand alone. I just can’t figure out how to keep it on and still be able to move my arms!

  5. Love Colt’s comment and yours…we all need to be reminded of that!
My only issue with the blanket scarf is just that….your throwing a small blanket around you and that is great when your cold……but it’s not always practical to go around with a blanket thrown over your shoulders so you better have something underneath that can “go it alone”. I think it’s a great idea for us who are always cold and now because of this new trend we don’t look weird running around with a blanket on (lol)….but just what do you do with it if you get somewhere and it’s warm, you’d have to carry it around, I guess and that could be a issue if it messes with the whole “look”?

    1. Yes I agree Marcia. You need a top that can be worn without the blanket scarf but I have to say the scarf is really comfortable to wear. It’s not as awkward as I thought it would be.
      Blessings,
      Cyndi

  6. Children are so very precious. Light is beautiful.
You always look adorable in whatever you put together, but that glow (light) that shines in you is what really makes the beauty brighter. Thanks for sharing!
You are correct on the scarf being good for the movie. I need one of those!

  7. Out of the mouths of babes! I love what Colt said along with the Beauty for the Heart! The blanket scarf is a fantastic option for many settings.

    God bless!

  8. This reminds me of a FALL OUTFIT….would be nice at a football game….around the fire pit or even on a hayride….

The light of the world is Jesus… I love your post about the Christmas Lights…May God Bless!

  9. I wouldn’t have thought to put my striped turtleneck with my plaid blanket scarf, but I love this! Thanks again for the great ideas!

  10. Movie theatre is a good idea – I used my scarf last night to warm up at the theatre. But a lot of these blanket scarves are just TOO warm for most indoor wear. I wish someone would come up with a lighter weight blanket scarf…. Maybe I’ll have to invent one myself. 🙂

  11. I’m surprising myself but I actually like this! I love the colors in the scarf and it matches up nice with the boots. I can see wrapping up in this scarf on a day that’s still a little too warm for a jacket but cool enough to need a little something. Very cute!!
