Happy Monday! It’s Day 18 of 25 Days of Winter Fashion. This is a casual date outfit I wore on Sunday afternoon, Wayne and I spent some time enjoying our mild weather.
If this was a typical December, I would have added a scarf to this outfit but since it’s a milder December, I didn’t need it.
I love buffalo plaid. I have several tops in buffalo plaid so when I saw this vest at Old Navy, I decided to add it to my collection.
Wayne loves to act like a professional photographer and I love to laugh at him trying.
Sometimes he needs my help with the camera so I take a picture of him to make sure it’s set right. I took three pictures of him and they were all good. What? We take a lot more of me to get good ones! #weclashinourplaids

Such a cute outfit! And I love it when you post pictures taken at Shaker Village. It brings back special memories of eating dinner there one Christmas season when we lived in Harrodsburg. When we walked out it started snowing. Magical! Merry Christmas!

I have the same vest and I’m loving it! Our weather was milder until recently. I was loving the milder weather.

Very cute outfit Cyndi. I’m looking at the jeans and wondering what size you are wearing. I am usually a 6, should I size up since they are skinny? What is the rise? I like it close to the waist rise. Have you purchased any other Wit and Wisdom jeans?
I’m wearing a size 6. I don’t think you would need to size up. I wear a size 6 at LOFT too. If you wear a 4 at Loft, I would get a size 4.
They sit right below my belly button. They’re not a thick jean but I really like them!!

Our weather in Northern Nevada is definitely colder than usual. I am tired of wearing jeans so I started wearing sweater dresses with tights and boots to church, etc.

It looks like you and Wayne had fun taking the photos! Here in the metro area of Atlanta it us warmer than it should be, short sleeve weather to be exact. At least it’s dry. Since we like cold weather, we are missing the cooler temps.

Are these photos from yesterday? I was at Shaker Village too! My husband and I were heading home to Ohio from western KY and decided to detour over to Shaker Village for lunch. I bought a beautiful wreath at the shop where you are sitting….and a tiny tree at the shop next to the restaurant…. Wonderful lunch, beautiful weather, wonderful day. We had so much fun and got some good photos too. Would love to have met you and Wayne.

Isn’t Shaker Village beautiful. We were there Friday night too and it’s gorgeous with all the lights. We live just a few minutes away.

I just love reading your blog. I enjoy your style and being 53 I never want to look too old or too young…I’m at an awkward age in dressing. I also appreciate and understand the missing of your mom. I lost my mom 5 years ago and then my dad 2 years ago. Every day I miss them more and more. I just visited the cemetery last week. God Bless you as you make your visit. It’s so hard yet so necessary.

Hi Cyndi. I have the same vest. It came in the mail last week but I haven’t wore it. Does your vest tend to “hike up” in the shoulders? Mine does and it’s kinda weird. Not sure I can do anything to fix it. I saw some other reviews on the ON website and they noted the same issue.
I did not notice that at all. Do you think it could be too big?

Your Wayne is handsome! I live on the coast of AL, Orange Beach to be exact. It’s 50 here this morning. And that is chilly. The advice, dress for the season, not the temperature is difficult at times🎄🎅

I agree completely. I am trying to pack for a trip to Austin TX this week and I live in Iowa. It is supposed to be in the mid 70’s there and I am struggling with how to pack stylish clothes that won’t look like I think it’s July 🙂
