Payless For the Holidays! (25 Days of Winter Fashion Day 19)

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Payless for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Payless for the HolidaysWelcome to Day 19 of 25 Days of Winter Fashion. Over the last several months, I’ve shared some boot selections from Payless Shoesource with you.

I have been so impressed while shopping at Payless at all the cute shoes they have! If you need boots to go with your Christmas outfit, you should check out Payless for the Holidays.

I love having boots in my closet, but I can’t spend $200 on every pair if I want some variety and if I want to add different trends. Plus, I don’t want to spend a fortune on stylish footwear that might be out of style next year.

Early in November I shared these fringe ankle boot. They’re comfortable and on-trend!

tan shoes with fringeI also shared these fabulous over the knee boots in November. I can’t wait to wear this outfit this weekend to a Christmas concert we’re attending on Friday.

Payless-shoes-holiday 4Today I’m sharing the Tysen Quilted Boot. Quilting is popular this year so I love the added touch on the boot.

Beauty For the Heart~~My Mom has this written in the front of her Bible, “The Bible is a gift from God. We should clothe ourselves with the gospels on a daily basis.

Mom is reminding me that what I wear is not where true beauty lies. Spending time in His word is where beauty begins.

Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.  And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. Colossians 3:14-15

Have a blessed day!

    1. Hey Beth! If you’re talking about the poncho in the first picture, this where I purchased it>>http://rstyle.me/n/bc3d5gpcsw

      Hope that helps!
      Cyndi

  1. I really enjoy your blog and keeping it real! I recently unsubscribed from a blog that was just too expensive. You have great style!

  2. Hello Cyndi!

I love to dream about shoes/boots, but I have plenty of shoes that I don’t wear enough already!

I would like to purchase a gift for my mother from Young Living. Can I do that through you?

    Thanks!

  3. I really appreciate your realistic approach to fashion. There are a lot of other things that I need to spend my money on other than high cost fashion. So thank you for finding cute, affordable clothing! I look forward to your daily posts of fashion and spiritual words!

  4. I read your post about the facial products… $400.00 for eye cream!! Yikes, I’m with you, who buys this stuff? Thank you so much for blogging about affordable items. I feel that we, meaning everyday people, can be stylish and not break the bank. Thanks so much.

  5. The wreath from your email is beautiful. My husband’s family is from Delaware and they don’t put flowers on the graves at different times of year like my family, all from Texas and Georgia. I’ve always assumed it’s a Southern thing. I wonder?

As much as I’d love to be able to spend $400 on eye cream, I don’t think I would if I could. It just doesn’t feel like I’d be a good steward that way. Of course, that’s a predicament I’d love to find myself in! LOL

Thank you for always being very “real” with us! I may not always comment, but I read everyday. You are blessing. I shared your Beauty for the Heart today with my campus prayer group.

    XOXO

  6. Hi Cyndi, I love that you keep it real! Many of us (myself included) cannot afford to spend $400 or so on skin-care products. Thanks for keeping this in mind. Love your blog! xo

  7. Love all your boots! I think I will stop by Payless the next time I’m at the mall. Thank you for your honesty and integrity concerning the expensive cosmetics. There’s no way I’m spending $400 on any kind of eye cream!

Your blanket scarf looks great. Do you have a link to a tutorial showing how to tie it like yours? I recently bought one and no matter what I do, it looks like a colossal dinner napkin around my neck. Help!

  8. Cyndi,
You said it best…”Keeping it real!” I look forward to your post everyday because you approach each new day with optimism, hope, and faith in our Lord. Thank you for sharing great style ideas with real women that have busy lives on a budget!

  9. Cyndi,
You said it best….”Keeping it real!” I look forward to seeing your post everyday because that’s what you do! You approach your day with optimism, humor, and above all faith in our Lord. Thank you for sharing style ideas that are for real women with budgets and complicated, busy lives.

  10. Cyndi, I LOVE this outfit today! The beautiful red blanket scarf & tall boots add so much to your outfit! Plus your “always beautiful hair” shines in every photo! I thank you for the post about your mother’s flowers & Bible too! I just lost my sweet Daddy & I loved reading in his Bible too! Praise God for Christian parents!

  11. As soon as I saw your previous posts that included the over the knee and fringe ankle boots, I scooped them up and I LOVE them! This past weekend I picked up the quilted ones too. I am so impressed with the style and comfort of them and mostly the price!! Thank you so much for sharing them and giving great outfit ideas to pair with them!!

  12. Cyndi, yes I was just shopping at Payless recently, they are on track with styles at affordable prices. Like everyone else, I am so grateful you are authentic and truthful with your readers. Many of us are on budgets and your blog is a guide to what is reasonable to pay and stay on trend.
Also, I love what your mom had written on her Bible.

    You are a blessing!

  13. I guess you don’t have to wonder how your readers feel!! And I guess you don’t have to wonder if you’re on the right track! All this affirmation will hopefully carry you a long way!

I, too, appreciate the budget friendly approach to your blog. Where I live we are just common people. I don’t know anyone who spends $200 on jeans or boots. That’s just not who we are in my part of the world. I don’t think I have an entire outfit that cost $200–let alone just one piece of the outfit!

I also appreciate that you shop at stores that are available to me. Stores like Nordstrom and Anthropology and the like are at least 3 hours from me!

Thank you for building your blog around us readers rather than just for what you can get for free. 🙂

  14. Thank you for sharing. I love the wreath you did for your Mom. My Mom and I are real close as well. I look forward everyday to see what you r going to style but most of all spiritually what u r going to share. It helps me a lot especially with helping in being the care taker some for my mom that deals with short term memory loss. I also buy alot of the clothes etc. that you model. Love it. it has help me to learn to put things together that I never knew how. Thank you again. 😄🎄🙏

  15. That took a lot of integrity, Cyndi. Thank you. That is why we love your posts. Do you still use the Wolf eye cream? I certainly would not pay $400. Even the Wolf is pricey to me. What lip liner do you use now? Love all the boots.

    1. Yes I still use the Wolfberry eye cream. I agree it’s not cheap but i am willing to pay a little bit more for my skin care. Just not $400!!
I wonder what my skin would have looked like though. Ha!!
I’m using a Loreal lip liner in Natural I think. The print is so small it’s hard to read.
      Blessings,
      cyndi

  16. I agree with everyone, thank you for keeping the cost down and I appreciate how much work it is to find good fashion at a reasonable price! Thanks for you efforts and I LOVE what your mom wrote in her bible….I love those segments……

  17. I love all your outfits and the fact they do not break the bank is the best. Please keep on posting your outfits. You have given wonderful ideas to help a retired Grandma keep fashionable.

  18. Cyndi, Thank you girl keeping your posts reasonable and affordable. As a retiree, our monthly income isn’t going to increase, so I have to be careful with what I spend on clothes. I need to check out Payless shoes with my orthotics in hand. I love the Beauty for the Heart. Have a blessed day!

  19. I just ordered the tan quilted boots from Payless this morning….just so everyone knows they are currently having a BUY 1 GET 1 50% off when you buy BOOTS ON LINE (must be online). So….for only $12.49 I got the cute monsoon rainboots also. Win-Win.

  20. I appreciate your finding nice things for budgets. I love dressing “high end” for little or nothing. I agree, I would rather dress trendy and not spend a fortune and have a selection. Thank you.

  21. Question: How do you tie that blanket scarf so that it doesn’t bother your hairstyle? Is it bulky in the back?

  22. I really appreciate you keeping it real too! I feel like we never have to spend a terrific amount of money to look good. Shopping smarter is always the best way!

Thanks Cyndi, you are such a genuine person and your beautiful heart shines through in your blog daily.

  23. Thank you for keeping it real! I’ve bought many pairs of shoes from Payless, that have been comfortable and has held up just as well as high end shoes.

  24. Ilove how you dress and your blog. I was wondering, how tall are you? I am only 5 ft and am wondering if I can pull off some of the looks you post!

  25. Cyndi-

Thank you for sharing and for always looking out for us! I truly appreciate your style and honesty as well as that you are price conscious. One of the reasons I love your blog is that you style items that are affordable and attainable. I need things that fit my everyday life and my everyday budget!

  26. I really do like that you post affordable items. There are a few that are a little more than I typically would spend but I appreciate that we all splurge once in a while! I’m hoping that I find that burgundy/black lace sweater under the tree this year! 🙂 Thanks for sharing! Have a great day!
